Hyvä ruoka, siistiä ja ystävällinen palvelu.

Tullessamme myöhään illalla, ei ollut ruokapaikat enää auki. Huoneessa oli muutama tortilla pala ja pullo vettä. Ruokaa olisi voinut tilata eri maksusta huone palvelusta, mikä oli mielestämme epäreilua kun olimme maksaneet all inclusiven.

Siisteys ja huoneen siivous olivat aivan omaa luokkaansa, ihana kylpyhuone ja lämmintä vettä koko ajan, kosmetiikasta plussaa. Vain huoneen pieni parveke tuotti tuskaa kalusteineen, ei meinannut 2 normaalikokoista aikuista mahtua yhtäaikaa parvekkeelle

Perfect beach holiday , unforgettable holidays in Crete

We were able to spend a week at the Aldemar Knossos Royal in September. The hotel complex is beautifully designed and very clean. We had a double room on the upper floor with a sea view in the middle part of the complex. The room and especially the balcony were unfortunately rather small for the price but otherwise functional and clean. Unfortunately, the minibar was never refilled and we didn't receive any coffee capsules for the coffee machine. However, we received a snack in our room on the day of arrival without any special order or questions because we only arrived after 10 p.m. and the buffet restaurant was already closed. The sea view from the balcony was wonderful and worth the extra charge. The restaurants are excellent, the buffet restaurant offers something for every taste and has a huge selection of freshly prepared dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the daily selection of freshly sliced fruits. We visited 3 of the 4 specialty restaurants, all of which are highly recommended, especially the gourmet restaurant right on the beach is a highlight. The service in all restaurants was always very friendly and accommodating. In the evening the hotel offers various entertainment options, we preferred to end the evening comfortably at the beach bar. Particularly noteworthy are the bartenders at the beach bar; they are extremely friendly and happy to give recommendations for drinks. The beach is very clean and there are enough loungers for everyone. Unfortunately it was often windy and we couldn't get into the water on a few days. But if you could get into the water, it was pleasantly warm and extremely clear. The sand is rather coarse but not unpleasant. The sea itself is rocky but you still don't need bathing shoes, the rocks aren't slippery and aren't angular or sharp, but quite pleasant. We would book at Aldemar Knossos Royal again in a heartbeat!

Amazing stay !!! 5* experience !!!

Everything was excellent !! Our sea front room with sharing pool was a perfect choice ! Food and beverage departments with friendly and efficient service ! Credits to Fontana Amorosa restaurant ! Reception always trying to fulfill all our wishes ! Management team present all over the hotel to make sure that guests are happy ! We will be definitely come back !!!!

family vacation in September

We spent a wonderful week in September in this hotel. Our children enjoyed very much the swimming pools, water slide and the facilities at the mini club. The personelle was very attentive to all our requests. in general we are not very demanding clients, but even small things we asked for were attached ged with a smile from the staff. The food was very various and tasty. my wife is vegetarian and she could always find sownthjng she would like to eat. we definitely would recommend the hotel for family vacation.

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO 5 STAR

Allow me to first say that it really depends what you are used to. If you are used to a high standard and a true five star experience you will without a doubt be disappointed! This hotel is a very long way from being 5 star. See my honest review below and draw your own conclusions. Arrived at midnight to a red hot hotel room. (How is it possible to enter your room in a 5 star resort to heat and mosquitos. Could they not close the windows and cool the room before hand?) After we raised this they did turn the AC on right away however it didn't work! We called again and they said the unit takes time to get cool! (Which is an untrue statement!). We waited 30 minutes but still no air and a hot room! We called again and had to ask for a technician to come to the room to check the AC. Eventually a technician arrived and confirmed the AC filters needed cleaning so he stood there and cleaned them in the sink ….. half an hour after he left the room started to cool. (some time after 1am) In addition to the above, the room we were allocated was absolutely nothing to do with the room we booked! We booked a room with a pool view and shared private pool (there was a pool... but not in front of our room as we booked!! It was somewhere around a corner, apparently….) Our view was literally a tree and a building. The room was also significantly smaller than the one we had reserved. We booked a family room but this room was so small you would have to step over your case on the floor throughout your vacation. We asked the front desk but they said we need to come back in the morning and raise it. To give credit where credit is due. The following day Mr Terzakis, the Assistant Manager, dealt with everything. He was extremely helpful at fixing the problem and upgraded our room. We were upgraded to the Royal Villas area. These rooms have the private shared pools and access to a separate restaurant for breakfast. At this restaurant the breakfasts were of excellent quality and the staff always amazing. There is also access to a private bar which was very convenient and a great bonus. I want to add that changing to this area of the resort was the only way we survived this vacation. I would actually go as far as recommended one of these rooms (which note are hard to find when booking, we were not even aware of them). Unfortunately now back to the negatives and the reality. Gym has no AC!! We asked if its broken they said its never worked! Also there is a squash court but this doesn’t have AC either!!! This is not only unacceptable but makes it totally unusable in the summer!! Note, there is no air conditioning in the entire hotel!! This included reception, common areas and yes, the restaurants!! In the heat of the summer it’s a disaster… people avoiding the terrace because it was too hot to sit and eat in the heat and sun, however inside had limited space and was equality as hot because they have zero AC. I’ve really never seen such a situation in any hotel! Hotel Food. Breakfast. In the main buffet restaurant. Forget it! Basic buffet of high volume and low quality. No omelette station. Pre made omelettes dry and tasteless. Beans watered down and tasteless. Undercooked bacon. Pastries low quality and dry. Just a meat market and total disaster. (luckily we only had to suffer two breakfasts there). Lunch. In the main buffet outside area. The food was of low quality and practically the same every day. Also note the daily serving of pork skewers were pink in the middle! Also note people were constantly going inside to the buffet without a top on…. it is not allowed but hotel staff say nothing... so you can expect someone sweating and full of sun cream standing next to you at the lunch buffet! Dinner. Nearly all resorts have theme nights at the buffet every night... this one does not. They have 3 theme nights in a week. But use ‘theme’ lightly. They tried Asian night... all they managed was tasteless noodles and cheap overcooked spring roles... just really appalling! However, if you are not a difficult eater then I must say the selection was always big enough for you to find something to eat and sometimes the food was actually of very good quality. Greek night was excellent FYI. In summary, it really depends on you budget and what you are looking for on a vacation, but this is a huge resort packed full of people with no AC and below average food. I personally wouldn’t recommend and of course, I wont be going again. Note on the Italian Francorosso agency. Avoid this agency selling substandard hotels with false advertising. Their reps are all untrained and don’t care about providing any service at all. They didn’t turn up to the introductory meeting and during your stay they are literally no where to be seen! You only see them eating at lunch then they disappear again. If you manage to find one don’t expect them to have any information about the hotel at all.

Very good gluten free food

Is not a 5 stars Hotel. We change the room after the first 2 days. The air condition is working with a cold wather and if is very hot, that system is not enough. Main pool need to be renovated, is very old. Guest relation is good and try to help, and really suport us to solve with the room. What we like very much was the kitchen and beach restaurant. I can give 5 stars for them. The most important for us it was that we found gluten free food. They make pizza with gluten free, pasta etc. For this, i want to thank you to every staff who work on the kitchen and take care to my doughter to have a gluten free food. To be onest, in a famous 5stars Hotel in Turkey, we didn't find such a good services with alergien food. Thank you very much for that, you made our holiday easy.
