Lovely Resort for Everyone!
My family and I absolutely loved our 1 week holiday to AP Adriana in Portugal. I can’t rate the staff enough. They are all so helpful and professional. We especially liked the girl with the glasses (sorry I didn’t get her name)who would was at the door when we went for our evening meal at the main restaurant. She was lovely and bubbly and always a smile on her face! The resort itself is quite remote, you need to drive to Albuferia or get a shuttle bus which the resort can sort out. It’s about a 15 minute drive. We ended up hiring a car for half the week. The beach is lovely and quiet, you do have to walk down some wooden stairs to get to the beach, but worth it. The swimming pools are great, always a lounger available. I love how there is a second area on the resort with another pool and restaurant as we were at the furthest end of the resort so we ended up using the smaller facilities at it was closer to our room. I also felt very secure and safe. The whole resort has a fence around it and someone at the front gate always watching who was coming and going. This especially made me happy as I have a 10 year old son with autism. Even when you went down to the beach you had to use your key card to get in and out of the gate. The food was amazing!! Honestly I can’t big up the food enough. So much variety in all areas. Fish, meat, salads, fruit, potatoes, puddings. Burgers at snack time, crisps, yogurt, sandwiches, I could go on. I felt very spoilt. I have to mention the cheesecake because it was so delicious. Food available all day apart from when the staff are getting ready for the next meal. The waitresses and waiters were on it! There’s a little shop on site which sells holiday stuff, inflatables, sun cream etc and some souvenirs. We didn’t use any of the facilities like table tennis, archery, spa etc or watch any entertainment at night as my son wasn't interested, however I did hear a lot of guests say how good it was and how they really enjoyed it. The rooms were fine. The bathroom was big which was great! Rooms cleaned everyday, if you wanted, and clean towels everyday. The only negative about the whole holiday was the mattresses, they could do with being a bit softer and more pillows but that’s obviously personal preference. All in all a wonderful holiday! It was my sons first holiday abroad and I was so anxious about it but I needn’t have been. The resort were very accommodating when I requested things he neeed which made me relax. The lady who checked us in (again I don’t know her name) really made me feel at ease and said anything we needed, just ask. She was wonderful! Lastly, the whole resort is so clean and tidy and it’s just lovely to walk around. We loved our late afternoon strolls. Thank you Adriana for a great holiday. We will see you again.
Good stay
We arrived at 21.30 quick check in and given some ham sandwichs and some apple went to our room in block B our room was clean and spacious big wardrobes and comfortable beds the balcony was could have done with a sweep but other than that very impressed we were about a 1min walk from the reception/pool/bar the grounds of the hotel were beautifully kept staff always working hard. The beach is stunning a 5min walk take ur room key u will need it to open the gate the 92 sturdy steps down the beautiful beach shame there was no drinks/toilet facilities down there the main restaurant was good lots of seating inside and outside the food was ok mostly the same stuff but different meats every night the drinks were great proper spirits and pepsi the pool area was great lots of sunbeds the pool was a little chilly the little birds flying around were lovely to watch just mind ur snacks tho if u leave them unattended they will swoop in and have a nibble they had indoor and out door gym and a lovely spa that u have to book for and u get 45mins staff were kind and friendly but not all of them spoke English the shuttle bus gets booked up quick. watching ur stepping as there were lots of slabs poking up along the ground uneven grounds near steps to the spa and soon as u walk through reception. We had a lovely stay bit I don't think we would return to this hotel or Portugal
Left disappointed
Was really looking forward to our first holiday since 2019 and picked this hotel as it seemed it had a lot going for it. Couldn't fault the grounds beautifuly well kept, buildings are only 2 floors dotted around the whole resort and not too far to walk to the restaurant facilities. Our room set in building F was not up to the standard set out by the pictures on the Jet2 website. Dark blue walls did not help the ambience as soon as we walked in. On closer inspection they were smudges on the walls, an unsightly line of rust in the fridge, bottom of curtains through to the patio dirty and walls that seem as if they had a lick of paint which was the wrong shade all in all quite shabby. We found the food to be okay at first but after a few days it was apparent that it was around the same menu on a 4 day cycle. Often we sat down with our buffet and it was cold, best choose items just put out from the kitchen. There are ample self serve coffee/tea machines but tend to break down a lot and you need to use paper cups only China cups on a morning. Pools are big enough but be very careful walking near the bar and restaurant areas there are quite a few raised patio bricks which are a tripping hazard. Entertainment seemed good plenty of happy people attended, limited expensive shop, plenty of sunbeds. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Not our best holiday would not return.
Good with a few issues…..
Just returned from here, we’ve had a good time, but a couple of little things could have made it better. On arrival our room wasn’t ready, but there’s a luggage store room which we used while we went to the lunch buffet. Rooms are modern and really clean, fresh towels every day, we were in block T so close to The Grill restaurant and smaller pool. For an all inclusive we found the food fine it did get a bit repetitive towards the end, but what I did like was there was always fresh veg & salad available. Drinks were good but the bar service was really slow at times. Entertainment felt a little half hearted but we were there as the low season ended and high season started and I got the feeling that this might have got better as the summer went on. There was a mini disco each night for the kids which my daughter loved, but we did struggle at times to find free tables and chairs to sit out and watch, they could do with adding more. Pool areas were good, sun loungers in the larger pool area have seen better days but the ones by the smaller pool were better and more comfortable. As we were getting towards the end of the holiday they did seem to have ab influx of large groups of guests who were drinking all day and night, out last night we had to call security as they were up shouting and jumping in the pool until 130am, not ideal when they advertise as a family resort - it was enough to put me off rebooking
Nothing but praise
What clean and beautiful resort! I love the concept of the blocks being set back from each other rather than on top of each other. Our room was approx. 5 minutes walk from the reception, main pool and main buffet restaurant but it was a lovely walk, seeing the well kept buildings and gardens. This resort is SO green! Our room was perfectly located only a minute walk from the smaller pool, pool bar and ‘The Grill’ a la Carte restaurant. The main buffet had a wide selection and all was cooked well. Good selection at the pool bars too! All the staff from reception, animation to the cleaners etc were all so polite and friendly. We booked a massage whilst staying and it was fabulous. 50 minutes of pure bliss. The beach was a 5-7 minute walk from the main pool and was beautiful but not advised for those with mobility issues or young children as you have to walk down quite a few stairs on the cliff edge to get to the beach. This didn’t deter us but we stayed around the pool most days out of preference. The room was clean and spacious, with an excellent shower and comfy beds, we met another couple who were on their 11th visit to the resort, I think that speaks for itself ✌🏼
