Aktiivisella syyslomalla

Hotelli on siisti mutta ehkä vähän kaipaa jo päivitystä. Hotellin vastaanotossa 5 tähteä mutta mielestäni kolme tähteä. Aktiviteetit ja ranta on parasta. Ruoka on keskinkertaista ja välillä jopa huonoa. Maksoimme täyshoidosta 750euroa mutta jostain syystä kalaruoka ja äyriäiset ei kuulu tähän. Myös juomista saa maksaa erikseen. Skandinaavit on majoitettu nuoren brittihenkilökunnan kanssa samaan rakennukseen ja välillä se on häiritsevää.

Viikon loma

Olimme lomalla apollomatkojen kautta. Saavuimme hotelliin yömyöhään koska lento oli vasta yöllä perillä. Parkkipaikalla haisi järkyttävä viemärin tuoksu koska kreikassa ei ole toimivaa viemärijärjestelmää eli siis vessaan ei saa heittää paperia. Vastaanotossa oli ystävällinen nuori britti, joka kertoi että meitä odottaa jääkaapissa ruoka koska emme ehtineet illalliselle. Huoneeseen saapuessamme avasin jääkaapin jossa meitä odotti paahtoleivän siivu! Kyllä, paahtoleipä voilla ja juustoviipaleella. Aulasta ei saanut ostettua mitään emmekä viittineet lähteä yöllä kaupungille etsimään ruokaa joten odotimme aamupalaan asti. Huone oli tilava ja siisti. Ilmastointi toimi erittäin hyvin. Ainut miinus huoneessa oli sen sijainti. Luulin huoneemme olevan altaalle päin mutta se olikin sivurakennuksessa tenniskentälle päin. Ilmeisesti muut kuin brittiasiakkaat sijoitetaan tänne jos on ostanut pakettimatkan niin kuin me. Hotelli on mark warner konserniin kuuluva, joka tarkoittaa sitä että hotelli oli täynnä brittejä. Brittitennisohjaajia, brittisurffareita, brittiohjaajia sekä tietysti lähinnä brittituristeja. Hotellin rannalla ei ole pehmeää hiekkaa vaan kivirantaa joten suosittelen uimakenkiä tai sandaaleja. Läheiseen kolymbian kylään on kävelymatka josta löytyy ravintoloita, baareja ja kauppoja. Kaupoissa suunnilleen samat hinnat kuin suomessa ja paljon feikkituotteita kuten adidas.

Active holiday in the sunshine.

If you enjoy activities on holiday, this is the place to come. The only problem is you cannot do everything! Need to plan your day. The Levante fitness staff work you hard and are very professional. The Neilson beach staff appeared tired after a long season and did not create the buzz you would have expected when undertaking activities at the beach. This was not just my experience other guests commented on this. Plenty of cycling options for all abilities. The food was good and a wide choice of food is available. The choice of pools is a big plus and it never felt crowded. Overall loved it as your around like minded people.

Not up to usual Neilson standards

I’ll start with the positives - fitness facilities are fantastic, CrossFit style workouts that push you, as well as the standard offering from Neilson and thr instructors were great. The kids club is 5* and our littles (3 and 6) had an awesome time getting active. We’ve stayed at several neilson resorts before and love the set up. We were however disappointed with the room we were assigned which was opposite the area where evening entertainment was on 4/7 nights of our stay. Unfortunately this meant having blaring music or a compare on a mic booming into our room until 11pm. When we raised the issue with the Neilson client services manager he didn’t offer any solutions or compensation at all and we were met with a simple - we are fully booked response! Also the Neilson don’t have the resort exclusively the resort is shared with a Scandinavian operator so the clientele is mixed. We were woken up at 2am with load younger guests being noisy on several occasions. All in all, we are leaving more tired than we arrived and likely will be back to Neilson but not to Levante.

Wonderful vacation hotel Levante Beach Resort , Rhodes

We stayed in the hotel through the Nielson holidays and had a most wonderful experience and vacation. Our rooms were clean, tidy, well-located and well-equipped. The facilities in the hotel are excellent and the Nielson team was superb, especially the bike team and Padel (led by Magnus) But what made the holiday was the Levante team in the hotel who were perfect. From room cleaning through to reception (Tsampika), activity booking (Nektapios), and the superb restaurant team (led by Illias) were really exceptional and their professionalism was a great contributing factor in making the vacation memorable for all the right reasons. ( especially want to mention the restaurant, Sophia, Katerina, Koula and Konstantina). Would we recommend the hotel and Nielsons to others? Absolutely yes Would we return to the hotel: Absolutely yes A wonderful experience and our thanks to everyone for making the holiday perfect.
