Dissapointed overall.

Just returned home from a two week stay.First the plus points.The accommodation was very clean and immaculate.The pool area was great with more than enough sunbeds and tables and chairs.The breakfasts were also very good.The reception were extremely helpful when I had need of some emergency dental care.The minus points. The outlook from our room was to say the least very ugly.Overlooking some very scruffy ill kept houses with gardens full of junk.Some rooms had nicer outlooks overlooking countryside or the pool.The self catering kitchen was also non existent.Very small to say the least and lacking in equipment.Very inadequate storage for clothes etc in the apartment. Most clothes had to be left in the suitcases.Every night without exception we were kept awake by feral youths on motorbikes revving engines and screaming round the streets doing wheelies.Dogs howling and barking all night.Kids shouting and screeching till the early hours.Very little to do in the vicinity with only three restaurants close by.

Great Stay

Second time here, fantastic staff, always helpfull. Again found the accommodation to be a good standard. Met some great people staying there be it chatting by the pool, having a drink in the bar or meeting up for a meal at the local Taverna. A special mention to Jack the bar man, a great guy. All in all would highly recommend the Apollo apartments for a very chilled relaxing holiday.

What to expect honestly

Arrived early hours of the morning a day late because of the flight problems, no one was there to check us in but I won't waffle on about who was to blame for that, got to bed eventualy at about 4am! Happy with our room, big enough, we spend most of our time on balcony anyway or out & about. Beds were comfy. Self catering facilities were enough for us, ( on holiday I refuse to cook! ) maybe a toaster would be handy? Everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean, bedding & towels changed about 5 times in 2 weeks. Bins emptied every 2 days. Never saw one mouse, rat or cockroach the whole time we were there like other people have mentioned. The hotel is situated in a residential area so there is some noise mainly in the evening from local families and kids as other people have said. The walk down to town takes 10-15 mins but it is uphill on the way back which can be hard work if its hot but there's plenty of taxis about! I think the hotel could do with more staff because there are times when there is one person running the bar and reception which I've never come across before so they are run off there feet especially when having to do food too. Would I stay there again? 🤔 I definitely would if I wanted a cheap week away in the sun, but I've never stayed anywhere twice in the same place as I like seeing new places and visiting new areas.

More facilities,self catering was a joke.

Hotel out of the way,no food from bar after 4pm,motorbikes screaming at 2-3 o clock in the morn,kids shouting from the residential area,walk to the strip was ages away,especially in 32' heat,not enough to do,we visited rethymon 3 times!! Staff were helpful enough,no lift for 3 flights of stairs,not for us

Fabulous Crete

Lovely family run hotel, gorgeous pool. Staff happy to help and greeted you every day. Room basic but large enough for 2. Probably would’ve liked our room cleaned more than twice but no real problem. Only negatives where the noise around the hotel, dogs barking etc but not the hotels fault. Loved our holiday.
