Sää on syyskuussa täydellinen. Suositteleen käymään Kreetalla ja Santorinilla!
Convenient accommodation away from the main hustle and bustle
The hotel is a bit out of the way and not directly on the beach. To get to the sandy beach, you have to come back to the main road and approach under it through a drainage channel. The hotel is a typical tourist hotel without evening entertainment and bars. The lobby is small and the whole structure is dated. The receptionist speaks English and German. We had a two-room suites with a balcony and a seaview. Very spacious, with fridges and air conditioning. Sleeping quality was ok. The hotel has one restaurant at the pool for the lunch and one for the breakfast and dinner. The meals were very average. The hotel is presented as four star, I would rank it as a good three star hotel.
Highly recommend
We had a fabulous holiday at the KMP in July this year! Our room was a really good size, as was the balcony (with sea view) and although the bathroom was very dated (as per other reviews) everything was always very clean. The public rooms were very comfortably furnished - great pool too with plenty of sun beds. The restaurant was large and airy with a very wide range of dishes, all carefully labelled (vegan, contains alcohol etc). The pool bar also carried a good range of food which we felt was reasonably priced. The staff were all (well almost all, but we grew to love her too…) very friendly, but special mention must go to our waiter Giorgios, who was a master of his craft. What a warm, friendly and kind person he was, with a great sense of humour too. If anyone ever needed to see what the highest level of service looks like they’d only need to spend an hour with him. Alex (who we think was learning from him) is very lucky to have such a teacher. Thank you all for making it such a perfect holiday!
Very clean hotel and great staff!
We visited Crete on september the 5th until the 15th and in that time we stayed at King Minos Palace. Our luggage was taken to our rooms, which we thought was a great service! That was also the case with the rest of the hotel staff: very friendly and helpful! We had a great time with our waiter. Manolis "the Magician" we called him, as he pulled off some good magic tricks, haha. Also the facilities of the hotel were great: The shows every 3 evenings, the pool ( a bit disappointing it was only open until 6pm) and the massage you can book via the reception (It's something that we really recommend!) If there's one thing to complain about, it's the rooms: They don't contain WiFi and look pretty outdated for a 4* hotel. We only used it for sleeping, so it wasn't much of a problem to us, but I can understand that some people would like to have internet in their rooms. On the other hand, it forces you to do other creative things in the evening, like going for a drink or to explore Hersonissos, which surely isn't a bad idea on your vacation. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Thank you! Mathijs and Juul
Gang on tour
Had a great time at the king minos palace. There was 10 of us and we arrived late check in was easy had cases brought up the front stairsand then on to our accommodation wich were bunglows in the grounds down a lot of stairs. Was offered a cold meal or a voucher to use at the pool bar one lunch time. 73 steps up to the restaurant and a few more to reception and the pool kept us fit and could find no fault with the food and the service in either the restaurant or the pool bar thanks to Eva George and Alexandro and all the other staff who were a credit to the hotel so dont believe what you read and decide fo yourself. The hotel is a bit dated in placesbut is supposed to be having a refurb for next year 1 or 2 down sides. No kettles in rooms and no were to dry your towels and swimwear as patio was open could do with little airing rails on the side wall. The pool was fab lots of longers and space . The underpass to the beach was low but short and was fine if you were under 5f 4 .was a bit of a walk to the center of town ok going down the small steep hill from the front of the hotel we got taxis back at night.
