Hotel was amazing! So many things to do and we always look forward to coming back after a very busy day. The staff, Teresa and Barbara (front of house) were amazing and very accommodating! I mean everyone in the front of house are amazing but these ladies were outstanding. Claudia (from Galo Fitness) for some reasons she was always in (not complaining at all) whenever we make a booking for the indoor pool and sauna and we love how she knows it’s us calling hahaha we love spending the rest of our evening in Capoeira bar where there is always live music and it’s next to the sea, it really is a perfect spot for downtime and just relax with a wide selection of drinks, from wines to cocktails. Will definitely be coming back to Sentido Hotels. We stayed Galosol so maybe we will try Galomar next! (ROOM 4610) ❤️

A very good hotel

Used by HF Holidays for walking holiday base. One of three hotels next to each other, with good facilities - swimming pools, etc. A larger hotel than I normally use, and with buffet breakfast and evening meals, which I am not normally a fan of. In this case, the selection at both breakfast and dinner was extraordinarily good, with a huge range of items, including local specialities at dinner (plus soup, salads, shellfish, fish, meat and vegetarian options) as well as a lot of fresh fruits from Madeira and South America at both breakfast and dinner. Some dishes cooked to order. Staff invariably friendly. Rooms recently refurbished. Room service good. A quiet location about 20 mins from the airport, and about 30 - 40 mins by regular local bus to Funchal (€2.20 cash each way). Local bars nearby, as well as supermarkets and a baker.

Delightful Galosol with Fanastic Breakfasts

An excellent hotel with a wide range of facilities. The staff are friendly and responsive; very helpful. our room was in a separate building, on the ground floor, so our balcony was really a little courtyard by the garden, with a glimpse of the sea through the hedge. Good sized room, with safe, kettle, fridge, plenty of storage and powerful shower. The breakfasts are fantastic, with everything from fruit, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, cooked food (with eggs prepared for you personally), cakes and pastries. The evening buffet is very good and varied too, though there is also a very good range of local restaurants. One disappointment was a packed lunch we ordered for a day's walking – considering the range of breads, rolls, meats and cheeses at breakfast, the white sliced bread sandwich with a Snickers bar was quite poor. After that we got excellent rolls and other foods from the supermarket up the road. The Hotel promotes the public bus to Funchal rather than taxis and it makes complete sense – the stop is about 50m, away (and the return one even closer), it costs only 2.20 each way and takes about 20 minutes. You can swim in the hotel pool or the lido which also has access to the sea. I would certainly go back if I returned to Madeira.

Would highly recommend for a quiet couple getaway!

This hotel is in a beautiful location and fantastic access to the ocean. The staff are all wonderful and willing to help at any given moment. The hotel is incredibly allergy friendly with the majority of their foods being labelled with allergies present. There is so much on offer (at an extra fee) including racket sports, spa and massages, diving and hiking!

Lovely stay

Absolutely fantastic hotel, nice big, clean rooms, fantastic breakfast. Excellent facilities. Excellent gym. Definitely recommend. A little way out from Funchal, but there is a regular bus service to town opposite hotel. Nice friendly staff.
