A gem of a find, and steal for the price!

This charming hotel is immaculately kept, full of simple charm, run by a lovely staff, and located perfectly to enjoy the heart of Naxos town as well as the seafront boardwalk. The price can't be beat and it is truly a phenomenal find!

Great value hotel

We arrived to the hotel late (~1am) after having a dispute with our original pre-booked hotel about our dogs. Fortunately, the Hotel Sphinx has a 24hr reception and came to our rescue! The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly to us and our furry friends. The room was very clean, cool and comfortable and came equipped with a fan, fridge and TV. The location is also great, just a couple of minutes from the beautiful Agios Georgios beach and a short walk from town. There is a big supermarket directly across the road and plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and car rental agencies within a small radius. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you!

Perfect Location

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was large, spotlessly clean, quite traditional in decor but with a beautiful ( small ) modern wet room en-suite. Very efficient air con, plenty of storage space and a large fridge. The hotel is in an excellent location. 5 mins walk down to the beach. Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, car and bike hire right on the doorstep. A pleasant 10 minute walk down to the marina with a huge selection of restaurants. Breakfast was a little disappointing. We have stayed in many small Greek hotels and they do vary.... we didn’t like the set up of getting a tray to get your breakfast to walk back through reception and round to the outside terrace ( which was actually very pleasant). You do have the option to stay within the restaurant, but no one did as it was very warm in there and the tables were very close together. But anyone who is looking for a very central location will be pleased with this hotel.

clean hotel in good location

Sphinx hotel is located a few minutes walk from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious with TV, A/C, a fridge, wifi etc. Some of the rooms have large, newly renovated bathrooms with rain showers. The reception/ lounge area is spacious and a nice meeting point.There is free wifi but the signal is better in some of the rooms than others. I would definitely stay there again.

Typically Greek small hotel in excellent location. 50 meters from the main square, 5 minutes to the beach and 10 to the port and bus station. Rooms have good air conditioning, large flat screen TV and fridge. Very small bathroom so expect to flood the room every time you shower, it dries quickly though. Breakfast good for free. Guests were mostly italian, French and German. Good for the price.
