Cold pool

They advertise to have hited pool, but water temperature is around 25 in one pool, other two are colder, not for kids or adults. In our pools water has 28-32 degrees. If you dont have all inclusive stay you are not welcomed by restaurant staff. Location is good for trips, kids enjoyed mini club and disco.

Great holiday!

Great holiday, thank you! The hotel is well situated if you would like to go hiking or just sunbathe. Many beaches nearby (on foot or by bus), the bus stop is a few seconds from the hotel and you can go explore the area. The hotel staff was very helpfull, kind and pleasant, from the cleaners, to the restaurant/bar staff, to the reception staff. What I really consider as an added value is a very tastefull meal. You can choose great spanish cuisine and try different tastes or you can stay with pizza and pasta :) Many thanks to everybody from the kitchen and the restaurant! I stayed at the block A and it was really beautiful to have pool view from the bedroom and sea view from the terrace. The only thing I could complain about is the poor cleaning of the floors but on the other hand there were no insects anywhere. I hope to come back again sometimes , thank you very much to everyone at the hotel!

I would return in a heartbeat

We went as a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 toddler). The location was great as it’s quieter and everything you need (outside of the hotel) is within 10 mins walk. There is a ramp to get to reception which isn’t visible from the stairs at the entrance. This is located a few meters from the stairs. The hotel is brilliant - the facilities were great and while we were there one pool was closed but this did not impact our experience as there were 2 other pools and I even forgot about the “building works” as I didn’t hear anything - even when at the other pools or the kids club. The food was freshly made and such a huge range. Even for those who go abroad and don’t like to try new things there was chips, pizza, pasta, different meats made on the grill, etc. The kid’s entertainment was fantastic - the kids club was great (you need to stay with under 4’s) and the Mini Disco was a huge hit with all of us. Agata was named “The Magic Lady” by our daughter as she was just magical in our daughter’s eyes. Agata was really great with all the kids, and had a great ability of engaging with the adults too. The entertainment in the evenings was great too - I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I’ve enjoyed the entertainment every time. The housekeeping service was great - the rooms were always kept clean and they were a great size. The shower flooded a bit a couple of times but that was only one minor issue. The beds and pillows were so comfortable - I wish I could bring them home! The staff overall were fantastic. They were engaging, helpful, friendly and attentive. I would love to return and wouldn’t have any reservations about recommending this hotel. There were many people from lots of different places, and even where language was a barrier between guests, the smiles and gestures were not. The hotel managed to balance a lot of expectations from different people brilliantly.

Couples amazing holiday from heaven

What can I say other than this was such an amazing holiday!! When we arrived in Tenerife the transfer company were dreadful - stood there waiting for over 2 hours in the blistering sun wasn’t what we needed to start our holiday - apparently a bus breakdown which meant there we’re too many people waiting at the same time to fit onto the coach! So here we are thinking oh my god what are we in for?! Arrived finally at the hotel after missing dinner to be treated with smiles and a warm welcome from reception. Finally, our holiday can begin! We were in D202 which was an amazing room, spacious, overlooking the pool, separate bedroom to living room, huge balcony, and overall superb. Didn’t watch tv once so can’t comment on that! Off we went for an explore, and our past the pool down some steps there is a beautiful view of the sea which we were in ore of. Time for dinner and a great selection of foods, drinks, puddings, plenty to pick from and not overly busy. We were here for 10 days and albeit slightly repetitive food, there was something every day for every meal that we enjoyed. The main pool was freezing but once in, no issues. It was a nice welcome after tanning all day. Never an issue getting a sun bed, and the slushie machine was fab as you can mix in your alcohol which was a lovely treat. The day entertainment was fab too, we tried every activity which passed the time from just sunbathing. Evening entertainment is fab too, after the mini disco (with songs which are very catchy) and a variety of acts. Some more joyful that others but worth a watch all the same. We were opposite the theatre so it can be a little loud but it’s not all night and finishes at a reasonable hour. The beds were very comfy and the hotel was very clean. Yes there are some areas that could be improved but it didn’t dampen our stay. There is a renovation going on next to D block but again, didn’t get disturbed by it once. We would 100% recommend visiting Siam Park which can be booked through the lady in reception, such a wicked day out! She was so helpful with booking trips, or you can do it via the Barcelo app which is also good for requesting items to replenish in your apartment. So, nothing negative whatsoever, loved it from start to finish and we are certainly booking again for next November! I did have a birthday there and unlike other didn’t receive anything but maybe that’s because we didn’t let them know. Not sure where people have seen bugs and cockroaches as we didn’t spot a single one in our 10 days!

in my opinion NOT a 4 STAR HOTEL

We stayed for 10 nights from 8 to 18 November. First view of the Hotel looked ok, but our Junior Suite (as it was called) was jaded & in need of some attention, bathroom needed up-dated, kitchen area only had a kettle, microwave & 2 mugs, NO CUTLERY, if you were self-catering that was it ! bed was comfy, balcony with sea view. We were in F Block (families). on arrival the pool & slide & jacuzzi were taped off & undergoing maintenance, which was really disappointing as it was just outside our room on the 1st floor. Neither Jet 2 or the Hotel informed us of this ! We spoke to the Jet 2 Rep who informed us work had only started on it a COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. We were given a refund of 18 euro's & some cold drinks in the fridge, as by way of apology. The meals were buffet in the Restaurant, which frankly was chaotic, noisy & seem to have a problem with flies & we took to covering our food with a napkin (if we left the table) to make sure nothing landed on our food ! At breakfast time cold carrots, brussel sprouts & cauliflower were served. A lot of the food was repetative, fish & chicken under-cooked, food cold, not replaced quickly enough & also having to request milk, tea-bags several times before they were replaced (we kept some tea-bags with us, so save us waiting) We kept away from food we were unsure of whether it was completely cooked or not, but we BOTH STILL ENDED UP WITH STOMACH UPSETS! This from a 4 STAR HOTEL. We had been out from breakfast time & returned back about 5.30 pm to find our access to our room was blocked by metal fencing & taped off ( we weren't told of this) we went under the tape & found the FIRE ESCAPE HAD BEEN BLOCKED OFF, & the door locked. We had no access to our room & we'd been swimming, so had wet costumes with towels around us, we had to go back up to Reception, who knew nothing about this & sent a maintenance man to investigate, my friend went along with him. The only access to our room was now at the opposite end of the building, VIA THE FIRE ESCAPE & along the corridor at the end & left to our room ! We were still in wet swimsuits & went back up to Reception & asked to speak to the Manager, he's not available, "can we change to another room ?" we asked, NONE AVAILABLE We explained, "how are we supposed to bring our cases down the fire escape ?" we are both pensioners, the receptionist was quite rude & SAID "WE COULD MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS IF WE WANTED !" at our expense of course. By this we'd been walking about still with wet towels around us & went up the fire escape to our room, via the other end of the building. We emailed Jet 2 late that night & next day our Rep had got us a change of room, so we packed up & moved room to nearer reception & on the 5th floor. It seems that looking back over previous reviews the maintenance work had being going on for 4 WEEKS BEFORE WE ARRIVED ! so JET 2's (COUPLE OF DAYS) is not true & WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THIS & given a room away from all this. BLOCKING A FIRE ESCAPE is a health & safety issue, & should NEVER happen. We have taken photos of all this & have complained to Jet 2 officially & await their reply. This spoilt our longed-for holiday & i've never stayed in a so-called 4 star Hotel like this ! We will take this further as this shoulldn't happen !
