Zefir hotelli

Henkilökunta ajoittain epäystävällistä. Huonosti englantia puhuvat. Huoneet huonossa kunnossa, tupakka haisee kaikkialla.

Jedzenie smaczne, duży wybór i nieograniczona ilość. W pobliżu dużo sklepików, restauracji i innych hoteli. W odległości spaceru (20-30 min) klimatyczne starożytne miasteczko Nessebar, które trzeba koniecznie zobaczyć, najlepiej wieczorem. Ogólnie polecam, zwłaszcza mniej wymagającym podróżnym.

Average Hotel

Travelled to this hotel with family the last week of September. The hotels grounds are very well kept, the pool area is very nice with a large pool and a smaller kids pool. As for the upper floors - not so well kept or as well reflected as the ground floors. The bedrooms are very small and dated, with a small bathroom and very small balcony. No kettle or tea or coffee making facilities. They were very dusty which caused a lot of allergies and there were lots of stains on the carpets. If you go to this hotel I would recommend going all inclusive, otherwise you’re treated like a second class citizen. We had breakfast and dinner included in our stay however they will not sell you any food or snacks outside of this. If you ask can you buy a snack or some lunch you are told no you’re not all inclusive. If you ask for a drink after 12 o clock it’s the same story. The staff are very dismissive and not very friendly, with the exception of two younger girls who worked in the bar area who were quite friendly to us. The jets in the pool would not work so we asked a lady working there if she can help us and she said “no” and shrugged her shoulders and walked off. We asked another person working there who seemed to be maintenance. He pressed a button and had the same response “don’t know” and walked off. One night, the people in the room next to us left a candle lighting underneath the plastic chairs on the balcony and clothes hanging up on the railing next to it. This was alarming as we could hear them snoring so they were asleep. My husband went down to tell reception and again she shrugged and said “what do you want me to do? They are asleep. No problem for us so no problem for you”. I personally stayed awake until the candle went out as I was worried it would catch the plastic chair or the clothes. Every single day they ran out of beer and they ran out of wine. If you’re out of your hotel all day and come back and want a beer, don’t expect one here. The answer you will get is “tomorrow”. If you do not give the exact change in the bar they get frustrated and say small change only. Even if you give 10 lev, it is hard to always have exact change however they did accommodate sometimes and ask reception for change. But just a tip if you are going have the exact change ready. The location of the hotel is quite good. There is a small train around the corner from the hotel which is 6lev per person and will bring you into nessebar (which is a must see) within 10 minutes and It would normally bring you to sunny beach also but it was finished going to sunny beach for the season. You can get taxis into sunny beach for around 15 lev which is also quite reasonable. You can walk to both locations in about 45 mins to an hour also! There is also a pub across the road called John Reid’s which does nice food and entertainment every night which is good! We were eaten alive by mosquitos in the bedrooms so please bring your own repellent as it was awful and the repellent you buy in the shops there does not work well. All in all, I do not think I would stay in this hotel again, however if you are looking for a budget holiday then this may suit you as I have stayed in worse!

Well worth a visit for the price. Great location and a good three star hotel

We stayed at Hotel Zefir for one week as a family holiday. Two adults and three children ahead 4, 9 and 11. Arriving at Burgas airport we headed to the taxi rank where we was greeted by a taxi driver. He charged 120 Lev for the one way taxi. Claiming it was because there was five people. This was massively over priced and when at the hotel the reception staff informed us that the transfer rate is 70 Lev. For that reason I highly recommend that you prebook any taxi from the airport as opposed to getting the taxis outside waiting for arrivals. There was no negotiating with the taxi driver and he refused to use the meter. It was late at night so we just wanted to arrive with three tired children. Arriving at the hotel we was greeted by a friendly receptionist. He went over the all inclusive options and showed us to the bar area where there was sandwiches available at that time of night (12 midnight). At the bar we was informed that the all inclusive option only included beer and wine. Cocktails was extra. Cocktails was around 7.50 Lev. They also offer kids apple/orange juice and some fizzy drinks too. It was disappointing that the hotel didn’t offer any cocktails on the all inclusive, even a cocktail a day or something similar. The rooms was clean and we had an interconnecting room (we booked a family room in order to get this). Although they are slightly dated rooms, they appeared well maintained. The balcony door lock was broken and we needed to report that. Beds are pretty firm and towels were old and needed replacing really. So maybe bring your own as you don’t many either and they didn’t seem to change them some days. We had a pool view room which was nice. Some noise from hotel entertainment until around midnight, but it was nice as you could enjoy watching fr the balcony. Breakfast was reasonable. Lots of hot food choices including bacon, eggs, pancakes and some days sausages. They also serve freshly made omelette too. The fruit selection wasn’t great and they need to offer more than orange and apple in my opinion melon was available at other times of the day and that would be a great part of the breakfast even. The pool area is clean and tidy. We found that many people smoked when at the pool and didn’t seem to be concerned when my four year old was sleeping nearby. None of our group are smokers and don’t enjoy that aspect. It would be really nice to separate the smokers to protect those that don’t want to be around it. Even selecting an area, one end of the pool for the smokers would be a suggestion. There is a hotel lifeguard but he worked the pool bar too, so pro table best not to count on his help in an emergency. Throughout the day there is a pizza bar opened for snacks after breakfast and before lunch and again after lunch briefly. There’s also ice cream and cakes from 2pm-5pm. Lunch and dinner offered a good selection of salad, fruit, hot foods, amazing cakes and hot donuts which I highly recommend. The waiters/waitresses clear the plates too quickly and we had a few occasions when someone wasn’t finished drinks/foot but they took them anyway. They don’t really interact much as limited English but the odd one would try and talk which was nice as we enjoy speaking to local people about their country etc. The hotel has an animation team. Two young girls who play kids and adults games. They are friendly but don’t really interact much with the kids, so when someone is shy they don’t encourage them to join in and as a kids rep in the past I know this is important in building a rapport with some kids so they too get tue best from their holiday. Our kids joined in as they had one another to encourage. During the water polo there was a couple of really aggressive children that was pushing and shoving. We had to step in as our little one got hit in the face with a ball from one of the angry kids, where as really the animation should of managed it but didn’t seem confident enough to do so. This appeared to be a one off though as other games went well and the kids made friends. The location of the hotel is really good. There’s a kids play area with bouncy castle slide and small kids electric cars to play on. Also a selection of gift shops and supermarkets. The beach is also a few minutes walk away and is a lovely sand beach. There’s a bus stop a few minute walk away and you can get the bus into Sunny Beach/Nessebar Old Town and the water park as well as other places. We paid 4 Lev for us all to travel to Nessebar old town. When coming back we got the open top bus which was 20 Lev for five of us which was nice too. A taxi home from Sunny Beach cost us 30 Lev, so I highly recommend the buses. Try haggling the taxi drivers as they do try to rip you off which is why we opted for using the buses as they was fast and much much cheaper without hassle. Old Town Nessebar is a must. Very quaint and friendly with lovely restaurants. We ate overlooking the water which was nice and reasonably priced too. The only other thing to watch for is when buying ice cream, they charge for the weight and really load the huge cones or tubs and charge a lot. We paid 45 Lev for four ice creams and a slush drink. It’s best to agree a price before they weigh the ice cream and load it up. Overall I do recommend Hotel Zefir as the price is very reasonable, location is really good and the food is decent for a three star hotel. The hotel lobby and grounds are well maintained and decorated and the pool is really good. Needs some minor repair in parts due to tiles coming loose a sharp plastic bit at one end of the pool, but overall it is a nice pool for everyone to enjoy. There’s also a kids pool too. There’s a green area for football and some kids/family games. With a few improvements such as more friendly staff and more interaction from animation as well as a few minor pool repairs, if I’d rated the hotel even higher. But please don’t be put off by this as it really didn’t affect the outcome or enjoyment of our stay and offered us a cheap getaway during school holidays. We would definitely return again as the kids loved it and so did we.

Lovely, friendly, great value

Arrived mid afternoon to be greeted by a lovely lady on reception. Thank goodness her English was good enough as I don't speak a word of bulgarian. First impressions of the hotel, its not new but recently refurbished. We had a comfortable room overlooking the pool with a small balcony. Bar staff are friendly, management are helpful, cleaners are very efficient. Restaurant staff are excellent. Food has lots of variety and is tasty. Everywhere is clean. 2 pools, both look lovely. Close to beach. Not too near centre of either nessebar or sunny beach but both easily accessed. Met a fabulous taxi driver who we now have a number for. Ivan knows everything about the locality and is more than happy to help. First visit to Bulgaria and I'm not one for repeating as I like to try new places but if I come back to this country I would stay again. Keep up the good work
