Great kids friendly resort with outstanding service
Exceptional service and great property, exceptional short vacation. The experience right from check in was very welcoming and exceptional. The front team was kind enough to recognise loyalty and upadhare to a suite. The executive lounge team was exceptionally warm and hospitable. Shubhra was outstanding and suggested great options of dining as well. Went out of the way to extend a warm and hospitable experience. The hotel comes with access to the theme parks and was truly worth the stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and the kids club. The breakfast had a good spread and great service. Many good restaurants around the promenade ahead of the hotel. All in all a great experience. Would recommend to stay here. Congratulations to the entire team for such great service.
WOW WOW WOW!
The perfect hotel to celebrate our Birthdays! We had a brilliant stay - mainly due to the brilliant staff who work here (Sachin, Subhankar, Nabin, Soumen, Shoaib, Irish, Watson, Hassan and Subham!) The food was great (specifically the BBQ prawns at the pool bar!), and we got lots of complementary Birthday cake, cocktails and fizz - they couldn’t do enough for us! The location was perfect too - walking distance to the bars in the area. Plus, we used our free park tickets for the waterpark and Ferrari world, which were both great. Thank you for the perfect stay! Holly & Lewis
Lacking
It’s an average 4/5 star hotel - I’d say it’s a good 4*. Smaller than I imagined from photos. No beach. The beach is a 15 min walk to Yas Beach. The staff are lovely but so slow… Getting drinks at meals is slow, getting drinks at the pool take 20 mins to come. The worst part for me is the selection for the all-inclusive guests. It’s extremely limited. They only offer one choice of red or white wine and it’s Hardy’s!!! Last time I drank Hardy’s wine I was a poor student!! No Prosecco or cava included. They have a few, 3-4 cocktail choices. The food is adequate but not exciting. The dreaded buffet is the only option in their main indoor restaurant for both lunch and evening dinner. They have a pool bar and restaurant, which has a nice a la carte menu but mainly snacky lunch meals, burgers, pizza, meat skewers, salads. That’s been my favourite but with only 2 dining options available to all inclusive guests it’s really inadequate. Food and drink are a massive part of the holiday for us and it’s seriously lacking. When I booked the hotel I was told all the restaurants were part of the package and a dine-around system was used to be able to use other hotel restaurants and bars. Apparently they no longer operate this system… Great! :( The room is a one bed ‘suite’ for 4. We have a nearly 12 and 14 year old with us. We asked 3 times for an extra bed as they won’t share a sofa bed. The living area is small but adequate for a family of 4 with the bedroom area. Plenty of storage and an additional toilet as well as a large bathroom, is nice for a family, but it’s not spacious. There is no turndown service on an evening. The pool tables never get cleaned… rarely do they get cleared but I’ve never seen them have a wipe down! One man did wipe some marks from a sun bed tho! The sun beds are amazing. Massive and so well padded, very comfy. Live music by the pool on a Sunday is nice, not over-bearing. When we arrived early on check in day we weren’t offered anywhere to change so we could use the pool. We were told we could sit in the executive lounge on the 7th floor and have breakfast there. It was 10.30am when we arrived upstairs and breakfast finished at 11am. The food offerings were ok, the bare minimum I’d expect really in a club lounge. Small space. All the tables were dirty. We had to ask for it to be cleaned. After a long journey we just wanted to relax and feel looked after..! The host was getting herself a coffee from what I could tell. Having worked in hospitality myself I would expect the host to get a coffee after all the tables were at least clean and tidy for guests to use. All in all it’s been disappointing. I expected it to be comparative to Dubai hotels we’ve stayed at but it isn’t. We have stayed at Atlantis 3 times, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray once and One and Only Royal Mirage once. It isn’t a patch on their service or the experience they provide I’m afraid. I wouldn’t return or recommend it.
Poor management - poorly trained staff
This is a great hotel with a perfect location for the parks, but the staff let the place down badly. This is clearly a management issue. Staff are not trained properly. I had two major issues which were brushed off. The first issue was with the room. I had booked a two-bedroom room but only got a single bedroom. They claimed that Expedia had advertised the option incorrectly, which I am not sure I believe. The second issue was a restaurant booking. I had booked a table for 7 people. When we turned up the restaurant was full. The girl on the reception told me that they could fit us in later in the evening. Not good with three hungry children. No apology, no solution and an aggressive manner. I received no help from the duty manager or F & B Manager when I reported the situation, just an offer to book for another night. After that, we spent all our money outside the hotel. With loud, drunk and raucous guests spoiling the restaurant and pool area, this is a place to avoid around key holiday dates. I certainly won't return.
