Pretty poor service and fewer activities than Neilson

Would have said it was a fairly good or average holiday but the way they dealt with complaints and customer service in general was absolutely appalling and would therefore rate it as pretty terrible and never go Mark Warner again - straight back to our usual far superior Neilson experiences! This was our first time trying Mark Warner and we booked as 4 couples with kids plus some of the couples stayed an extra week and invited grandparents out with them. Including us, the total booking of adults and kids was 16 people. No thanks from Mark Warner or gratitude when I mentioned how many people I had organised to book this trip who would usually go Neilson! Bowl of fruit or free cocktail would have been a nice gesture! Thenagain all the cocktails were so bad (alcoholic or mocktails) that wasn’t anything to miss! Airport experience and MW rep there was truly awful. Kept letting other flights in front of us and we had to run for our gate despite arriving nearly 3 hours early. No food on plane, all ran out by the time it got to us. Resort pretty average. Nice rooms but food and activities worse than Neilson. What really lets them down though is total lack of care. All staff totally disinterested, not bothered by customer experience at all. Tennis very average, much fewer lessons and activities included weekly than on a Neilson. Some food good, some like school dinners. Kids tea pretty beige and unhealthy. Chips and nuggets vibe. Nowhere near enough rescue boats out - got left out at sea with no rescue despite distress signal for over 40 mins. Staff team forgot my massage booking and lost it. Offered 50pc off in compensation off an overpriced average massage instead in a different day, not great. Only thing worth commending was fantastic staff at kids club. Spend the extra few hundred quid and go Neilson where you get far superior service, activities, double the stuff on timetable and staff that actually care! They didn’t even bother replying to my complaint till I chased it twice! They will lose customers to Neilson for sure.

Do NOT PRE BOOK WATER-SKIING

DO NOT PRE BOOK WATERSKING!! We holidayed here in Oct 2023 and again in May 2024. The waterski boat was broken on both occasions. This is clearly a well known long term issue that Mark Warner don't care to fix. In Oct and May the boat was taken out of the water and typically this was for few flat calm days of the holiday. Unbeknownst to staff, I was stood next to them when they were laughing about the fact my husband had gone down to the water early one morning ready for a ski, only to find the boat not working again. For info, we cycled to the Neilson resort and saw a brand new boat, with two staff in the boat and people continuously skiing. Even a member of waterfront staff asked me to write this review! As for Mark Warner, They refuse to refund our pre-payment and had the nerve to suggest that the boat sat in the carpark was a different boat and that we guests are mistaken!! Shame on you as a company for being so arrogant and rude! The hotel is brilliant, very well thought out, easy to get around and safe with children. The Greek Staff are wonderful and attentive. The majority of seasonal staff are decent and helpful.

Great resort and a fantastic team looking after everyone.

Great resort and a fantastic team looking after everyone. Our room was perfect; lots of wardrobe space etc, small balcony, tea and coffee making facilities, and spotlessly cleaned everyday, thanks to Tina who was wonderful. The catering was also splendid, with an extensive range of options to choose from each day for breakfast and dinner. And the restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient. I particularly remember George and Nicos, but all their colleagues were welcoming. A great team too on the beach, topped off with perfect weather for me to take a Fusion out sailing everyday. All in all, a very well run resort. Well done the management team. We would love to return some time in the future.

Fabulous week at Mark Warner

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week at Mark Warner Paleros. It’s the first time we’ve been to a MW and will definitely be back. Accommodation was of a good standard and cleaned beautifully daily. Food was varied, we aren’t dessert people but the pastry chef clearly accomplished. Plenty of sunbeds whenever you went to the pools. The local village (10 mins by bike) was stunning, a traditional unspoilt Greek village, go to the Yacht club. The only feedback we gave directly to MW was that the “local band” were dreadful and not fitting with the MW brand. Other guests were so friendly. We are very sorry to be home and will go back.

Easy Mark Warner, relax , it's all there for you.

We've been many times to different locations, this one is top quality in a great location. Short airport transfer and walkable to small town which has supermarkets, pharmacy etc. Its not a fine sandy beach, but it's there for the waterfront . The sea bed is pebbles, we took sandals to wear in the sea. It's great that the sea here is calm and shallow a long way out. Pools are all one depth, little too deep for petite me to stand comfortably. All facilities are what you expect from MW. Staff were helpful and energetic, even at the end of the season having survived peak. Local Greek staff were so sweet and attentive. Netflix in rooms which was handy when it rained. Bar staff kindly gave us milk and ice for our room. Highly recommend and would go again. Top tip is to book last minute for great prices.
