Worth the stay

Had a great stay at the W. Shoutout to Ritesh Kuwwar for making our honeymoon special with a small cake and a couple sodas. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location and our upgraded room (titanium elite) had a fantastic view of the city and the gulf. There is definitely a bit of a party atmosphere for adults but also a good area for families. The only negative I had was the Michelin star restaurant. We went there twice and it was a disappointment and the service while good for a regular restaurant was not Michelin star quality. Some of the dishes were great others just mediocre but nothing actually bad.

A good experience on the Palm Jumeirah

We stayed at the hotel for about one week so it was a good amount of time to be able to explore all of the hotels facilities and restaurants. We didn't leave the hotel on some of the days. What's good: - Overall, a great hotel design and good facilities. - The room is very spacious and has an element of excitement to it. - The team generally convey the spirit of a W from a service perspective - Which area stands out? The Bell Service team - excellent from the get-go. Constant recognition, all week long. A warm welcome back, every time. Great. The only team in the hotel that remembered us by name. - Very clean, hard to fault Housekeeping both in the room and the public areas. Very kind, attentive, friendly. - Akira Back is just fabulous. We will return even when not staying in the hotel, it's worth a trip. Service - top notch. Food & Beverage: Outstanding. The Bar on L5 is pretty good as well. Things that deserve some attention: - Our room was on the 1st floor facing a power station and 24/7 construction site. Is this the best that can be done for someone staying longer? We had arrived past the check-in time. Disappointing. - Please go early for breakfast otherwise it becomes a very busy & uncomfortable affair. There's no smile or recognition whatsoever. On our last day we decided to skip breakfast and go to another hotel. Not a very inspiring experience to start your day. The team seems unhappy. - Torno Subito: Service levels are poor. The team is unable to explain the dishes in plain English. Whilst Culinary levels are highly advanced, the service team is unable to keep up. No Management presence, even though we visited for lunch twice. - It would have been nice if there is someone from the Management team who enquires about our stay or our well-being, at least once. Complete lack of pro-active outreach. No amenities provided whatsoever.

Absolutely fantastic Hotel !!!

This hotel was absolutely amazing from start to finish we had a fabulous time! The reception staff always had a smile on their faces, and so very helpful during our stay. The buffet restaurant LIV had such a wide variety of food, we left every morning/evening very happy. BIGGEST shout out to AKIRA BACK this restaurant gave us an outstanding service, and the food is the BEST we have ever had !!!!!!! Compliments to the chef’s !!! We had a delicious desert for our anniversary given to us by our waiter, which was such a lovely surprise, we were truly grateful. Our Italian waiter was so kind and gave us fantastic service he was superb. I wish I got his name to add to this post. The wet beck staff and food/drinks were fantastic. RAJU & SIMBA you are the best, they went above and beyond for us !!! The rooms are beautiful so specious, comfy beds, very clean & have everything you could possibly need. Thankyou to everyone at W Dubai ⭐️

Mixed Feelings and Unmet Expectations: Our Stay at The W the Palm Hotel in Dubai

The W the Palm Hotel in Dubai left us with mixed feelings during our stay on September 22, 2023. Despite having stayed at this hotel for 4 years and overall enjoying our experience, there was one major issue - difficulty in getting a taxi. The Parking Ambassador denied us the use of a taxi that we had flagged down ourselves, citing that it was needed for himself. However, he took no action to arrange a taxi for us and displayed complete inaction. This is unacceptable for a premium segment hotel and does not meet guest expectations. It would be advisable to implement a taxi calling system for guests, similar to that of Atlantis the Royal, where staff greets guests outside the hotel and provides information on estimated wait time. The Parking Ambassador could also assist in calling taxis for guests through an app, which would be convenient and efficient. On a positive note, the service quality within W the Palm Hotel has significantly improved this year. The staff has become more friendly and engaging, and the food has been delicious and diverse. Additionally, the accommodation options have been interesting. The Beef Burger at this establishment is a true masterpiece. It is a skillful combination of six different cuts of beef, topped with fresh tomato, crisp Boston lettuce, pickles, melty Monterey jack cheese, caramelized onions, and onion rings. This burger is simply fantastic! The juicy and flavorful meat, paired with the tanginess of the pickles and the creaminess of the cheese, creates a perfect harmony of flavors. The caramelized onions add a touch of sweetness and depth to the overall taste. Each bite of this burger is a delightful explosion of flavors that will leave you craving for more. I can confidently say that this is among the best burgers I have ever had. It is a fantastic dish and a true find for meat lovers! Taking into account our long history with the hotel and the taxi issue, we rate it 4 out of 5.
