Paras vaihtoehto perheille Tucepissa
Upea huoneistohotelli rannassa. Tilavat huoneistot. Rauhallinen sijainti. SIISTI. Kaikki paikat kiilsi ja huonesiivous hyvää. Huoneelle saatavana kauppapalvelu. Tilaamasi kauppatavarat toimitetaan huoneeseen ILMAISEKSI.
Really really really really really recommended
Wow, the reviews didn't lie. So I really meticulously combed through the options on where we should go and stumbled on this hidden get. We took a flight from Finland to Split and from there a bus to Tucepi. It was only a short walk from the bus stop. We did ask if the hotel has requests from others for transfer, but just got a pretty generic "have fun in Split and on the bus" answer. Hotel did offer a 120€ car, but we took the bus for about 30€ all together and spent the day in Split. It does take about 1,5h with the bus, but the views are amazing so highly recommended. We got to the hotel late, but there is 24h reception so that was fine. The receptionist Silva was amazing. I could throw the stupidest, silliest (still useful) questions and she took the jokes like a champ and responded like a pro. Thank you Silva for making our stay even more memorable.Although I didn't talk to any staff that wasn't great. (I asked one night clerk "how to get to the ocean" he looked at me funny and walked me to the corner of the hotel and pointed at the beach.... What I MEANT to ask was if there was a way they prefer you exit the hotel to go to the beach, but thanks! :D The rooms are amazing! the superior room was huge (by our standards at least), super clean and had everything we needed. Towels are changed everyday (except the beach towels every 3 days) if you let the cleaners in (as in no do not disturb). view is nice and private. very minor complaints are that the TUI hotel next door has some machines right towards the hotel which do make some noice and when it was raining more than a little the rain from the balcony above is collected to a short tube that then flings the water straight on your balconys railing and splatters absolutely everywhere. We enjoy a slightly colder air when we sleep and didn't want to use electricity for nothing so first night we slept the balcony door open and the water splatted inside too. Didn't matter to me, but don't know if the floor can take it. The restaurant is the best in the town. we didn't get dinner there, but thats what I read from the internet. we did get breakfest everyday and that was really really nice. the amazing thing was that you could order items from a menu and they would make them just for you. They also have some speciality items on te buffet like jam fillers for donuts so you can fill it with stuff yourself and a pancake machine. Beach is right across a pedestrian street (might be called that) which goes from one end of tucepi to the other. there is occusional car and it turns into a bit of a parking lot further down at night fall, but still really nice. Beach itself is a pebble beach which at least my feet could stand to walk on. Might be smoother rocks further in to the town, but right next to Tamaris it was pretty bad. I used the stairs on the pier behind the TUI hotel to go swimming at the end. The hotel does have a pool, but its only open like 8:30 to 18:30. didn't really get to use it since we would be at breakfest already when it opened and then we would go off doing other stuff and get back to the hotel late so the pool was closed already. I did ask why the short hours and they told me that its because the restaurant takes the pool area for tables and stuff, so they clean it. Just wanted to swim laps on a windy day or when it rains (and that means there were no diners outside either, but nope). Pool area is a little dated. There are holes on the wall where there should be some controls and some broken panels are covered with matts, but it does its job. Pretty much swam alone since it was not heated at all. The sauna is really small, but does do what it promises! Not the swedish or turkish experience I'm used to outside Finland since it was as hot as they could get it to be and you can throw water on the stones as you should! We did use the gym too and that was decient. We went to the Zipline and on a boat cruise to the islands and those were worth it too. both offer a free pickup from the hotel. Right next to the hotel is a forest that connects to Makarska on the other end. Really beautiful views of the mountains and the sea with two "hidden" beaches. Hope to come back someday!
Great time in Croatia!
Amazing place to spend holiday! Great location, amazing view on the sea and on the mountains. Delicious meals in the restarurant. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Atmosphere in the hotel is very familiar. We are sure that we will back here :)
