An Excellent Stay in Karon Beach. Read on with more details.

First of All, this is a superb hotel located at Karon which is quite new and it is really clean and fresh. Suitable for either family or couples looking for a place with 10mins drive or tuk tuk ride to Patong which is near and yet far from the noise of Patong. Our first time in Karon and I am very thankful I chose Glow Mira. Good Stuffs: 1. Staffs are all friendly and can handle multiple languages. Lots of smile and always helpful. 2. Parking at basement is available for those who drive with ample space, using a lift system. My Toyota Voxy could fit but if you are driving Alphard or similar sized MPV, I am not sure. Parking at the front is not readily available as it is occupied by bikes. Good thing is you do not need to worry if there are no space for you to park your car at the basement as most guests are without cars anyway. 3. Rooms - We took the Family Suite & Deluxe Room. Really spacious and suitable for those travelling with kid(s) on the Family Suite. TV is also Samsung Smart TV and you can use DEX to connect wirelessly if you have a Samsung Mobile. Did not spend too much time on the TV anyway. 4. Price of Room is matching against what you get. most importantly it is clean and ample towels and bedding items provided. Umbrellas are also given with beach bags and sandals. 5. Pool is located in the middle, slightly shaded with the building blocks with lots of resting chairs. Relatively uncrowded and most of the time had the pool to ourselves in the morning. Clean. Next to the restaurant where they serve breakfast. 6. Room Washroom - Clean, good water pressure and amenities are provided. 7. All my email enquiries are responded in acceptable lead times and information provided are adequate. 8. 7-11 (large one) and some food stalls are available just 3mins walk from the hotel entrance, so it is near but not noisy or crowded to the hotel area too. Ideal. Improvements Proposed: 1. Breakfast: Quite limited choices. OK for 1 or 2 days stay. But by 3rd day of our stay we are really quite out of choice. There was hardly any swap in the limited line up too. Egg station is available. 2. Booking & Payment: There was some mistakes in terms of our room reservations, I Would not go in details but it was sorted but it caused me about 30mins of my time in total throughout the course of my stay for this topic. I think some improvements on the system is needed, or better training for the front desk. 3. Basement Parking: Due to it is probably not heavily used, there are still lots of cement dusts. Making the experience to get into the car less ideal as I am bringing the dusts onto my car. Surely the management can arrange for onetime proper clean up of the dusts? Should also offer outdoor parking for larger vehicles as option - you can even charge valet if needed as the guests can choose to pay if they want the convenience. All in all, I would say this is a very good hotel. Very new and fresh, some additional trainings needed for making it into a top notch hotel. The stay has prompted me to choose Karon as my new Phuket destination in the future (as I frequent Phuket all the time). I would definitely return in the future. Disappointed with transparency

It’s unfair not to tell your guests that there is loud building work going on. I’m on holiday, I might not want an 8:45 am alarm curtesy of drilling and banging. Forced to go out because it’s non stop. The staff were nice and it was clean but the noise ruined it for me. Luckily I’d only booked for 2 nights and moved on. This information can be added to the booking websites but I saw no such thing and even went back to check.

Glowing holidays on Karon

We stayed with my family in February-March 2023 at the Glow Mira Karon Beach Hotel. It was our most wonderful holiday in recent years in Thailand. The ideal location of the hotel within walking distance from the sea, close to 7/11 shops, fruit shops and restaurants. Very beautiful new hotel, modern design of the rooms and the whole hotel, excellent restaurant with the most delicious breakfasts in Phuket. Great pool and fitness room with new modern equipment. The rooms were cleaned daily, very responsive and pleasant staff, always ready to solve any of our questions. Smiles and good mood are the hallmark of the Glow Mira Hotel. A special thanks from our entire family to the hotel manager Miss Agnes Dela Cruz Galleon, who really did her best to make hotel guests happy with their stay. It is felt in every little thing, which is very pleasant for us as guests. We will recommend the Glow Mira Hotel to all our friends and will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Phuket. Best wishes to Miss Agnes and Glow Mira Karon Beach Hotel. Stylish and brand new hotel, although noisy and not suitable for children

There are definitely pros and cones about choosing this hotel for your stay. Pros: brand new hotel, very clean and tidy rooms, stylish and good equipped. Close to Karon beach, several restaurants, bars and mini markets. It would be perfect for singles, couples, a group of friends and people who actually don’t spend a lot of time in the hotel. You can easily reach different beaches and places of interest by bike or by car. Nice corporate style with pink towels, beach bags and bottles of water. Very helpful staff. Cones: despite having family rooms, kids menu and special plates I can’t say this hotel is children friendly. No playing room, no territory, no grass or even fake grass. The swimming pool is quite small. Nowhere to go with a stroller. Noisy as the hotel is facing a big road. What is called “park” on google maps is 2 bushes and a puddle in real life. Wi-fi is terrible. Low signal in the rooms, better in lobby. So everyone who works or use video conferences has to go down and stay in the lobby which is small but comfortable and stylish as every space here. Some things I like, some things I don’t like, but I won’t be staying here with children again. Pricey comparing to neighboring similar hotels

We were blown away!!!

The difference between a good hotel and an excellent hotel is, without a doubt, the management. And GLOW Mira was excellent. We were blown away by the friendliness and service of Agnes and her team. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we were greeted by name every day. That makes things a little bit more special. The room, mattress, set up, breakfasts, pool and everything else that came with GLOW was just perfect. After a hard few years, we feel restored and rejuvenated. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. And if I could give it 100 stars I would. Thank you Agnes and your team! You are all very , very special. Ryan and Vanessa
