Fabulous location and although a very small hotel it was 5* the attention to detail everywhere was outstanding. The breakfast was really good and so much choice. Our room was huge and we had a Juliet balcony overlooking the harbour. The view takes your breath away. The town and beach walks are stunning too and the ferry is located just along from the hotel.

Great location

The hotel is in a great location. We managed to book directly on arrival, we were initially told the hotel was full but they then found us a room. Breakfast was very nice and as cat lovers we enjoyed watching some kittens playing in view ( well away from the breakfast area I might add so all ok health wise) and the breakfast was also very tasty.

Hidden Gem of Makarska

This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful port town of Makarska. This was our first visit to Croatia and this hotel but we will definatley return. The Hotel is exactly as decribed but so much more beautiful than the photos convey. Its nestled in the corner of the port just accross from the main street of restraunts and bars. The staff were welcoming and so helpful in so many ways including advice about trips and excursions. The rooms are spacious and the sea views are spectacular definatley worth it. We had chosen B&B the breakfast was plentiful with an excellent variety, something for everyone. All fresh and constantly replaced. We chose to eat in the restaurant for lunch and dinner a number of times. The restaurant is located at the front of the hotel with the view of the port, they have created privacy but with the beauty of the views. The food was of excellent standard hence us choosing to eat here despite Makarska having a number of beautiful restaurants to choose from. I wish to highlight we never once heard any noise at all from the nightclub. We heard passers by on the odd occasion but nothing disruptive. The party boat does occasionally have loud noise but it is only when docking, this would not in anyway spoil anyones holiday in my opinion and would like to allay any concerns anyone looking at this hotel may have becuase of other reviews. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel all enjoyed their stay and complimented the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Location, Location, Location

We have booked many holidays and the location is very important to us. On this occasion we were not disappointed. The hotel Osejava is situated at the end of the harbour, there is a cave next to the hotel which is known as the “nightclub”. The cave closed on 14/09/23 until the new season in May/June 2024. The hotel is “boutique” style set in a picturesque part of the harbour. There is a small pebble beach by the hotel. I would advise wearing water shoes if you want to go into the sea. Hotel was spotless, all staff were friendly & polite. We stayed half board which I would recommend, it is waiter service for lunch or evening meal and the food was excellent. Breakfast was self service & all guests sat in the veranda which had nice views. Omelettes were cooked on request. There is a great choice of restaurants to choose from, we ate out one evening & we were able to change our evening meal to lunchtime. At the back of the hotel there is a forest which is used by walkers & cyclists, you will need sensible footwear. It is sign posted to walk to the next town called Tucepi, this takes about an hour if you are walking & depending on how fit you are!! There are a lot of boat tours to choose from, we took the 2 island tour to Jelsa and Bol Brac it was a full day excursion. Lunch & refreshments were provided, cost €100. In conclusion this is a lovely part of the world, which is in a great location to embrace the Croatian culture and scenery.

Great location, wonderful happy staff, excellent breakfast and lovely room Liked · The location of this hotel is perfect. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbour and a wonderful view of the beach to the side of the hotel. The staff are wonderful, special mention to the lovely cleaning ladies, the reception staff (especially Renata), the happy and friendly breakfast staff, the chefs who make wonderful omlettes and the lovely waiter at lunchtime in the restaurant (the salads are so tasty). It is easy to walk round the harbour and up to the old town where there are many lovely restaurants (the hotel will recommend). We took the catamaran to Bol one day and went to the Golden Horn beach. We were given a kettle to use in the room. The hotel is not too big and very clean. We didn't use the pool as loved swimming in the sea. Would highly recommend. We would have liked a shower, although the bath did have a spray. You can on some nights hear some music from the club on the beach from 11.00pm to 3.00 am but we had read this and took good earplugs so it didn't bother us. Likewise, there are sometimes loud party boats in the harbour but didn't mind, nice to hear people having fun. Would recommend the hotel
