Poikkeuksellisen mukava hotelli

Pieni rauhallinen ja edullinen rantahotelli. Siisteys ja palvelu +++. Aamupalalla hyvä kattaus. Erityismaininta joka aamu vaihtuvista tuoreista hedelmistä ja lämpimien ruokien täydentämisestä kulutuksen mukaan. Ei siis kuivanutta pekonia esillä. Syötiin myös pari kertaa hotellin ravintolassa. Hyvää oli, varsinkin kanahampurilainen. Allasalue näytti kivalta, tosin emme sitä käyttäneet. Matala ranta, jossa kivet loppuivat melko nopeasti veteen mentyä. Huoneen parveke aamuaurinkoon ja iltapäivän helteellä mukavan viileä. Wifi toimi hyvin. Ihan pieni miinus tulee huoneen kalustuksesta, joka aiheutti hieman törmäilyä lähtö- ja tulotilanteissa. Tosin huoneen muotokin oli melko haastava kalustaa väljästi. Suosittelen lämpimästi Vassilikin kylää ja hotelli Sunwavesia!

Great place & value in Vasiliki, Lefkada

Welcoming and polite staff, who are allways available and happy to offer service and advice. Very clean and well maintained facilities. Large pool with free sunbeds and direct access to both the beach and the very nice restaurang. The hotel has a nice garden with ample seating in the shadow and out in the lawn as well. Great airconditioning in the rooms and rest of the nice building. Comfortable beds and free towels, shampoo etc. The walk to the port is short and pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We had a great stay and very good value for our mony here. I really recommend Sunwayves to everyone! :-)

Extreme disappointment

Been reviewing places for a long time and wanted to share another review, of the wonderful island of Lefkada. I've been coming to the island for 24 years and feel my review is accurate and unbiased. It's quite rare to find a place that I give a negative review to in Lefkada, but I make the exception for Sunwaves. I've had food here before and found the quality good and comparable to other Greek restaurants. What let's down this hotel/restaurant is the unfriendly service and silly additional swimming charges when visiting Sunwaves. When arriving, the staff member was extremely unfriendly and really disinterested in my custom. Not the kind of service I have ever experienced elsewhere on the island or vassiliki. if you wanted to use the pool (when having food and beer) you had to pay an additional 8 euro (per person) charge. So for a family of 5, that was an extra 40 Euro. For comparable pricing, that's the cost of 5 Greek Salads. A Downright stupid charge. Last time I visited, we spent 130 euro on food and drink, but given the attitude of the staff member and silly pool charges, we declined and went elsewhere. A terrific alternative is to walk a little further and attend the portfico hotel. Nice food, friendly staff and free pool. (See pics)

Very good and friendly staff

I was at Sunwaves hotel in July 2021. (+) - very good price -good breakfast -good location (5-10 min walk to Vasiliki center) -enough parking place -very friendly staff. I paid all the money for the room in the first day. I had to leave one day earlier and the manager gave me the money back for one night. (-) -breakfast starts only at 8:30

Awfull food

Better you eat some gyros. We was 4 people and order various food. First they bring us frenc fries 10 min before the rest of the food. The rest of the food was uneatable , overcooked or reheated . pizza was exacly the kind taked from supermarket , freezed one and all the meat was reheated. the octopus was like rubber and with awfull taste. Avoid it!!!
