Great little hotel

We spent a great week at this nice family run hotel. We needed a central hotel as a base for our week as we mixing business and family holiday. Could not fault the hotel at all very clean, lovely breakfast and super friendly staff.

Hotel close to everything you will need

Astali hotel is in a great location just a minute's walk to the beach with shops and restaurants close by. The friendly staff make you feel very welcome and all speak good English. The rooms which have strong wi-fi signal and individual air conditioning are cleaned daily along with the towels and bed linen being changed and each room has a balcony. The floors can be accessed by lift so no need to walk up and down stairs. Breakfast which is served from 7.30 is continental with a good choice to please everyone and can be taken either inside or outside on the terrace bar area. The bus stop to travel west is right outside the hotel and due to the one-way road system, the bus stop to travel east is just one road up from Astali. I rate this hotel so highly that I stayed here in June and August this year.

If Carlsberg made hotels.

I looked at a lot of TripAdvisor ratings prior to selecting this hotel. I have to say everyone was right. You know when a hotel is run well when everything just functions as it should. Rooms are clean with good air-conditioning, a safe for a week is €12. Room is cleaned everyday and towels changed. Breakfast is continental and of good quality, constantly monitored and added too. Small indoor and outdoor bar. Everything is well maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and approachable. The location is between the old town and the beach. Not sure how i could have picked any better. Thank you Astali and staff.

Great hotel for staying in Rethymnon

The Hotel is very simple, but inside the City of rhethymnon you have enough things to discover outside your hotel. The breakfast is very good and contains everything you expect. From the hotel to the oldtown it is about s 10min walk, so you have any possibilities to find great restaurants and party attraction in the evenings. I would clearly recommend the hotel to people, who look for a hotel close to the oldtown and close to the beach.

Clean, cozy and well located

My family of 4 stayed for a week in 2 rooms. The hotel seems renovated on the outside and has a good location close to the beach and the old city of Rethymnon. The staff is very friendly and service minded. Even though the rooms are small, they are clean and contain everything we need for a family holiday; towels, fridge, hairdryer, water boiler and AC. Breakfast is simple but has fresh and good food. It's great to have breakfast outdoors in front of the hotel and take in the Greek morning atmosphere.
