Jo toisen kerran - ihana loma!!!

Viiden tähden väärti - jokaiselta kohdin! Jos arvostat laajan valikoiman aamiaista ja myös terveellistä sellaista, tässä sinulle oiva valinta. On erilaisia smoothieta, hedelmiä, munakkaita, kasviksia jnejne. Hotellialue on kaikin tavoin kaunis ja todella siisti. Huoneet ovat myös näköalaltaan ihanat! All inclusive ateriat ovat herkullisia ja vaihtelua viikon sisällä on paljon. Palvelu hotellissa, ravintoloissa sekä spassa on ihanan aitoa ja ystävällistä. Meidän uimareiden loman kruununa toimi n 130 metriä pitkä infinity-pool😃. Toivottavasti pääsemme joku kerta taas uudestaan💕

Ei ollut sen arvoista

Kerrotaan ensiksi hyvät puolet. Aivan upeat näkymät! Huone saatiin lisämaksua vastaan sellainen josta avautuu upeasti maisemat! Se siitä hyvästä, siirrytään huonoon. Jos olet allinclusive, voit huomata ettei sua tulla huomioimaan allas baarilla ollenkaa. Koska et "maksa" niin et saa palvelua. Kun tulet baaritiskille, joko ne lähettävät sut takas sanomalla että tulevat kohta luoksesi (menee AINAKIN 1 tunti) tai juttelevat keskenään omaa kieltä nauraen ja ignooraen sut kokonaan! Jotenka jos on jano niin keksi joku parempi paikka, itse menimme kauppaan asti ostamaan vettä, koska pulloissa sitä ei saa ja kun baarit ja kaikki sulkeutuu ei vettäkään sinulle heru. Kun saavut huoneeseen sulla on yksi 1,5 litran vesipullo ja se siitä. Ensimmäinen kerta kun olen allinclusive matkalla ja joudun menee kaupungille asti ostamaan vettä, snäksejä ja alkoholia. Myös syötiin monta kertaa ulkona, kun hotellin ruoka oli kamalaa. PLUS jos poltat tupakkaa muista nostaa rahaa viimeistään lentokentällä! Heillä on hotellissa kauppa, mutta KORTIT ei kelpaa. vain käteinen. Lähin automaatti monien kilometrien päästä. Ruoka ei ollut kummoista. Eikä maistunut oikein millekkään. Asiakaspalvelu todella kamalaa! PAITSI reseption ihmiset he olivat ihania! :) Ilta show oli jotain kamalaa myös, se tunne kun nukahdat tylsyydestä. Ja haluaisit ottaa lasillisen viiniä, mutta kun meet baarille he komentavat takaisin istumaan, sanomalla jälleenkerran, että meidän luokse tullaan. (tilatkaa heti muutama juoma! muuten menee tunteja ja hupsista baari on jo kiinni.) En palaa ikinä samaan hotelliin. Heillä on upeat mahdollisuudet tehdä hotellista upea, mutta munasivat kaiken!

Nice hotel but definitely not a 5 star hotel

The majority of the staff at the Michelangelo are fantastic and enjoy working there, which is lovely to see when you are on holiday. The restaurant experience is not enjoyable unless you eat after 8.30pm and then you don’t have to wait in a queue to serve yourself like school dinner time. The views from the hotel rooms are beautiful but the actual rooms are terrible, you hear EVERYTHING !! Especially in the bathroom. The wall paper is peeling off the walls, the glass in the patio doors was blown so you could not really see out of it. The rooms need a refurbishment over the winter when the hotel is closed. We could not have our doors patio doors open because one room next to us were smokers and people who like to cough up phlegm before they smoke, which I do not like either and the other side sounded like a herd of animals who could not work out how to open or close doors. The hotel staff were very good and did speak to the family with the herd of animals in their room which made a difference for 12 hours. This banging of doors and shouting from this large family who had no respect for anyone else did ruin our holiday slightly as you just do not expect it from a hotel that states it is a 5 star establishment.

Below Expectations

This hotel needs to be reevaluated, it is not a 5-star experience. Don't get your hopes up for a relaxing experience and don't spend over £2000 like we did expecting a luxury holiday. We stayed in a Double Sea View room. The view was great, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. General cleanliness in the room was excellent. Sadly, we did have an issue with the drain. This could have happened anywhere and the housekeeping and maintenance team came straight away, followed by management with an apology bottle of wine and fruit, which was a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately, that is where the good points end. The room was extremly dated, with peeling wallpaper. When we arrived we had to immediately raise an issue with thick soap scum and limescale on all chrome fixtures in the bathroom. This was rectified quickly, but needed more attention and shouldn't have been like that in the first place. The bathroom was also very dark and dingy, and the shower screen did nothing to stop water going over the floor and making it very slippy. The view was great, but we couldn't use the balcony after a few days due to the room next door smoking on the balcony. This needs to be addressed urgently, perhaps smoking & non smoking rooms could be seperated? A simple fix would mean we can all enjoy the view we paid for... Additional note, if you are a light sleeper, these rooms are directly above the hotel bar which is open until 1am. It didn't bother us personally as we enjoyed the atmosphere, but really if you're going to offer rooms there, the patio doors should be soundproofed. Away from the room, the infinity pool is exactly as you see online and absolutely lives up to expectations. Amazing view and definitely the main selling point for the hotel. Reviews below suggest you have to be up early to secure a sunbed. Not our experience, the hotel was full during our stay and we only really struggled to get a sunbed after 11am. The towel card system to collect a new fresh pool towel every day was a great idea. If you are on all inclusive, no branded alcohol drinks are included. We tried some of the "paid for" cocktails and they are noticeably better than AI (when you've paid so much for this holiday, why aren't these cocktails included too?). Service at all the bars is really hit and miss. Be prepared to buy at least one premium drink, it's probably the experience you were anticipating given the price charged for this hotel. We had a couple's massage at the Spa. The treatment was good, however the facilities left a lot to be desired. The spa reception needs to be moved out of pool area, we couldn't relax with a prosecco after our treatment because 5 staff were just staring right back at us and it all felt very awkward. Spa pool is dated. We used the "shower room" on the day of checkout as we had a late flight. Lights are on a sensor, leaving you to shower in the pitch black. The drain in the floor was ready to overflow. There's no space to put your bags or actually get changed. Nothing felt like luxury in that room, we could have done the same job in the outdoor pool shower and just changed in the toilets. The main restaurant is a canteen, not a restaurant. Not enough tables are set for the number of guests, and they are not cleared fast enough when the ones in use are finished. It's a mad rush to grab a table. Maybe on one occasion when we sat down we had a clean table with cutlery and glasses? Provides a good game of catch the waiter to get a knife and fork. Despite this, the food is good, great variety, lots of greek dishes and home comforts for the less adventurous. Breakfast was always the worst experience. Not really sure why the staff are even there for breakfast, they stand around chatting and you have to go in search of them for cutlery, drinks, pretty much anything. We'd ask for coffee (it's sitting there preprepped) and after 15 minutes we'd usually give up waiting. Worst experience was being offered coffee (although we had already asked for some 10 minutes earlier) and then the waiter returning with one cup for the two of us? No milk provided, assume we were meant to use the previous milk jug left out by a guest with nothing in it that hadn't been cleared away? The Mediterranean and Soya restaurant are definitely worth it. Make sure you book in for champagne breakfast and dinner at the Mediterranean and dinner at Soya for a break from the canteen experience. The check in process was bad. There's no resort map, and we only discovered the tennis courts on our last night. Check in was simply "pay your tax and there's the restaurant (canteen)" There were a range of excursions at reception we could have booked (found out on the last day). We had no advice about booking the restaurants on site either (tripadvisor reviews were the only place we'd heard about the app). This hotel has some things at 5* (pool being the main), but so much is at a sub-par level, it just does not warrant it's rating. Perhaps it's a weak 4* at best. The main issue appears to be that the culture among the staff is not about providing a 5-star service. With the exception of housekeeping, you are rarely greeted with a smile. It's so difficult to get staff attention at dinner, at the bar, or even at reception. Simple things like keeping a guest waiting for an invoice because staff are having a gossip is not good service. We asked for an iron on Day 2 of our holiday, chased it up on Day 3 (we were assured we were first on the list). Day 6 we asked again. We checked out on Day 7, without a whiff of an iron in the whole place. It may seem minor, but this sort of facility is what seperates a 4 and 5 star hotel. At checkout we were asked if we'd had a good holiday. We reponded, yes and no. No further questions were asked. We were ready to share our thoughts but it was clear there's no appetite for feedback. If we'd paid a few hundred pound less, I'd be less disappointed, but this was marketed as a luxury hotel. We never visit the same place twice anyway, but I absolutely would not return to this hotel.

Great Holiday!

We visited Michelangelo Resort and Spa in October 2022. It was a lovely holiday and we would certainly go back. The jewel in this hotel's crown is the absolutely incredible view and swimming pool. Laying in sun, looking over the infinity pool toward the Turkish coast was amazing. We were so pleased to have such a wonderful holiday, particularly after our August holiday to Mexico, in the Royalton, was very disappointing. The rooms are incredibly clean, as is the entire hotel (I'd go as far as to say that it was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in). The daily clean down was immaculate. The superior suite that we stayed in was quite simple but tastefully decorated. The view from the room was incredible. The rooms were well considered, with plenty of storage space. We really liked our room and have to say that the bed and bedding was lovely and comfortable - we all slept so well. The only thing that would improve them is to have an ironing board and iron in each of the rooms, as you get in most 5* hotels. I have to say the food was lovely. The snacks throughout the day were really nice. I can't praise the quality of the food in the A La Cartes enough and the champagne breakfast was really lovely. We really enjoyed the buffet restaurant and found the food nice, there was just enough choice and it was varied enough for us. The bread selection in the hotel was lovely. All the eateries were really really clean. Breakfasts were lovely and had something for everything, There was a wide range of drinks available as part of the all inclusive offer. I personally like to have a few international drinks included, and would pay a bit more to have that, however the hotel's All Inclusive offer is only local brand drinks. There are plenty of bars to get drinks from. Although we didn't really use the beach bar, it was lovely and very picturesque. The cocktails are nice and there is a wide selection. I really enjoyed a morning latte with baileys in. We found the service to be excellent. Alki, at the pool bar, was so lovely and really made our holiday that little bit more special. Getting a drink was easy and there was hardly ever a queue. In the restaurants, the service was great and drinks were topped up regularly. Guest relations were great and she always went out of her way to make the stay perfect (she was knowledgeable and happy to help). The immediate surrounds of the hotel are lovely. Kos town is a short bus journey away and is incredibly beautiful. The bus is actually only 1.50 euro each way, per person - making it very cheap. We had a lovely meal in the town. There are a few pools to chose from but the most impressive was certainly the infinity pool. The pool itself was absolutely enormous and located right on the edge of the cliff. The uninterrupted views were just stunning. The pool is surrounded by plenty of very comfortable beds and beanbags (I would say that the sun beds were the most beautiful and comfortable we have ever seen in a hotel). The only downside to the pool was that it was not heated at all, meaning that it was so cold that you struggled to get in (once in, you kind of got used to it). The temperature of the water did put off our son a little bit though. All in all, the hotel was lovely and we had a great holiday. We would certainly go back, without a shadow of a doubt. If you are thinking about booking, I'd certainly recommend.
