Oikein hyvä hotelli

Asuimme tässä hotellissa viime heinäkuussa First Choicen kautta. Emme tajunneet heidän käyttävän tätä hotellia vasta ensimmäistä kertaa, joten me olimme ainoat vieraat Britanniasta! Paljon venäläisiä ja puolalaisia vieraita, joista useimmat olivat hyvin kohteliaita. Henkilökuntaa ei käy moittiminen, varsinkaan Pergola-ravintolan Artamia, joka oli aina oikein avulias. Pääravintolan Daniella, joka tervehti meitä joka päivä, oli oikein hyvä ja niin oli ravintolapäällikkökin. Vaihdoimme huonetta toisena päivänä, koska tilat olivat vähän niukat. Siirryimme osastolle josta oli suora merinäköala. Se oli aivan Pergolan vieressä ja olimme oikein tyytyväiset huoneeseen. Asuimme siellä kaksi viikkoa, vietimme 50-vuotispäiviäni, henkilökunta tarjoili kakun. Kaikki onnittelukortit saapuivat Britanniasta ja ne toimitettiin uuteen huoneeseemme. Ruoka oli oikein hyvää ja monipuolista. Lähtöpäivänämme paikalle saapui enemmänkin brittejä!! Mutta siltikin jopa kolme lastamme (viisitoistavuotiaat kaksoset) eivät pitkästyneet ja nuorimmaisella oli tarpeeksi altaita mennä polskuttelemaan. Paikallisbussi menee Kosiin vain noin 20 minuuttia, joten menimme kaupunkiin useimpina päivinä. Lipun voi ostaa helposti vastaanottotiskiltä. Suosittelen hotellia, koska sijainti oli rauhallinen.

Nice stay!

Whe had a very nice stay!! All the employees were really kind. The room was pretty and very clean. The food was good and there where a lot of different meals, so you can eat every day something else:) And there were 3 beautifal swimming pools with a lot of sun beds.

Superb & beautiful hotel

Superb hotel with private beach, swimming pool which seems to have the perfect size to offer an experience that feels relaxed, luxurious and intimate. There was always available space at the swimming pool or beach, as the hotel has ample of space and mostly caters bungalows (There was few standard room, but even as the hotel was full, it never felt overcrowded). The bungalow we had was very spacious and clean, and the cleaning staff was very friendly and accommodating. The service is superb from the Maitre d’hôte George, to every single staff at the reception, swimming pool, breakfast,etc. with drink served both at the swimming pool and private beach. Kos city is at a short 15mn ride on the bus, but we were not bothered as this was mostly a beach vacation for us. Buffet had plenty of choice on offer, although I would think one could get tired of it after a while. Our vacation was for 10 days so our stay ended before we reached that point. The hotel is quite isolated with no other restaurant/taverna around, and we only went half-board which is the reason I mention this. This is one of the occasion where I think going full-board might be worth it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and it will certainly be on our short lis5 should we be looking for a quiet beach vacation again.

Not as good as the reviews

The pools were lovely but.. to get a sun lounger, you had to be at the pool by 8:30. The swim up pool had towels put out overnight by the surrounding rooms so there is no way to get a lounger there and the hotel staff did nothing when we complained. The food can be great and can be well below par. The a la Carte Italian restaurant serve amazing chicken to two of our party and an extremely poor seafood linguine to two more. The tiramisu was inedible. The a la carte Greek restaurant serve cold mussels and then 3 perfect lamb shanks and 2 undercooked. The all inclusive alcohol is very poor and the cocktails are mostly unpleasant. All in all not the 5 star experience we had paid for.

The holiday we needed!

A hotel on a wonderful location and with great facilities. Very clean and well looked after, we got to stay at a beautiful bungalow overlooking the private beach and the gorgeous Aegean Sea. We were very happy with our choice for a much needed holiday after a demanding summer. The hotel staff, every single one of whom we interacted with, were very professional, polite and accommodating, always happy to answer all our enquiries. A special mention of Mr Anastasis, Waiter A, who made sure to welcome us for breakfast every day with big smiles and really kind words and to offer us the best service even at the busiest times. Also a massive shout out to Mr George Dogras, Maître d'hôtel extraordinaire! George is such an excellent communicator in a number of languages, with a strong work ethos and very customer focused. Always present and attentive, he would welcome and greet us quite enthusiastically, he would remember our names and check upon our stay making sure we are getting the best customer experience and having a good time during our holiday at the hotel. Dimitra Beach Hotel and all the staff there, thank you for a memorable holiday!
