Ei neljän tähden arvoinen

Palasin juuri viikon matkalta Porto Bello beachiltä. Kun saavuimme, meiltä pyydettiin 25 euroa kassakaapista, ei pantiksi vaan maksuna. En ole koskaan ennen nähnyt tätä 4 tähden hotellissa. Tämän jälkeen meidät vietiin masentavaan, pimeään huoneeseen joka tuntui enemmänkin yhden tähden kopilta! Soitimme monta kertaa vastaanottoon mutta emme saaneet vastausta, niinpä menimme seuraavana päivänä puhumaan kasvotusten. Työntekijää ei oikein kiinnostanut mutta hän kuitenkin muutti meidät toiseen huoneeseen mikä oli selvästi parempi kuin edellinen. Huonon startin jälkeen vietimmekin ihanan viikon. Olemme olleet ennen Carda Beachilla 4 tähden hotellissa ja se onkin juuri sellainen mitä neljän tähden hotellilta odottaakin. Porto Bellon ranta on kuitenkin ihana ja parempi kuin Cardassa. Ranta oli todella siisti ja siellä oli paljon aurinkotuoleja. Pelkkää puhdasta hiekkaa. Ruoka oli erinomaista mutta se alkoi vähän toistaa itseään parin päivän jälkeen. Hotellissa oli vain 8 brittivierasta, loput olivat saksalaisia. Olisi ollut kiva jutella toisten vieraiden kanssa. Ihana allasalue ja mukava henkilökunta. Yöllä ei ollut nitään tekemistä joten menimme Kardenemaan parina iltana, Stone Roses Bar on hieno vaikka siellä ei tähän aikaan vuodesta ollutkaan hirveästi porukkaa. Joka puolella on aika hiljaista. Loppujen lopuksi reissu oli ihan kiva mutta neljä tähteä?! Ehkä vastaanottotilat ja ranta ovat neljän arvoisia, mikään muu ei pääse lähellekään. Niin, melkein unohdin: älkää vaivautuko menemään italialaiseen ravintolaan! Se on aivan samanlainen kuin pääravintola, siellä ruoka on vain buffetista! Kamala, ei mikään kunnon italialainen ravintola!

Best Holiday we've ever had!

Porto Bello Beach was a little slice of heaven! My partner and I did 11 nights from 16/5 and wish we had booked for two weeks - if only to stay in paradise a little longer. The room, and all around the hotel, was kept exceptionally clean and stocked with fresh bottled water every day. The decor was stylish and modern, clearly having just (and only just) benefitted from a complete facelift and the communal areas of the hotel were kept spotless. Food and drink was plentiful and delicious, with a special shout out to the pizza chef for the most consistent 10/10 pizzas and friendly manner. The themed evenings kept everything diverse, and the on-site restaurants were another option to mix things up a bit if needed - Greek restaurant particularly worth a visit. All the waiting staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough. The bar staff in the day and in the evenings, at all bars around the hotel, were fantastic friendly and made our experience even better - brilliant for overlooking 10am shots of tequila. The real stars of the show, however, are the fabulous entertainment team. Chloe, Yaro and Ruud couldn't have done more and brought all the laughs, energy and made our holiday so full and made packing in our jobs at home and coming back to join the team seem like a viable option. My partner and I are never normally too fussed with involving ourselves in organised entertainment on holiday, rather spending our time doing as little as possible, but the guys at Porto Bello Beach turned us around, and had us dying to get involved with all of their daily activities. They absolutely made our trip. Porto Bello Beach will always be one of our favourite holidays, and it absolutely is the case thanks to all of the amazing staff in all departments across this fabulous hotel. If we could give them 6 stars, we would. Hopefully see you guys again soon!

Amazing Holiday

We spent a fantastic 10 days here as our first holiday abroad with children. We had a great time. Rooms- recently updated. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had an amazing view over the pool and beach. Rooms cleaned daily, towels changed and bottled water left in the fridge. Lovely spacious bathroom with great shower. Beach towels can be swapped every other day at the spa. No deposit just need to be signed off against your room. Would of been nice to have wardrobe or drawers and our parents room didn't have a full length mirror. Food Food was fantastic throughout our stay. The main buffet had a huge selection and great variety each day, also some theme nights. All food was top notch and delicious! Great choices for the children too. Lovely pizzas. We enjoyed eating at the restaurants. The medeterantian became our favourite lunch spot - would be great if it had a waterproof roof so we could still eat there on rainy days. Italian restaurant, wine is not included so take a glass down with you from the bar. Beach bar had great burgers. We all put on weight from the fabulous food! The waiters and waitress work so so hard and are so friendly especially Gianiss, head waiter, always welcoming my daughter her with a high five and Eleni. Entertainment The entertainment team are lovely and friendly and are there as much or as little as you want to join in. Huge shout out to Sharyn who is a star! So friendly with the children, our girls loved her and she made our holiday! Kids Disco was an absolute highlight, may daughters (and I) loved dancing along to Sharyn and the team every night. Circus, variety show and fire and Led show were very impressive. Italian Appyclub reps were also fab, friendly and lively and got everyone joining in. Singers in the bar were also good. Evening bar entertainment could be heard back in the rooms. We asked for a quiet room as we had read this on previous reviews. The music wasn't too loud and didn't go on late so that was fine. Location /facilities Location and facilities at this hotel are perfect. Quick 30min transfer from the airport (although this does mean it's on a flight path and you do get planes going over). Close to the pretty town of Kardema which is well worth a visit. 20min coach ride or 5mins in a taxi. Splash pool and beach all on site. Beach is beautiful, sandy and percect for building castles. Sea is clear and waist deep for a good 50m so nice to swim in. Lots of water sports included. Bar close to beach serving drinks, ice cream and burgers. Splash park is perfect. Lots of slides for big and small people and a great lazy river. In the hotel there is one large main pool and children's pool but also 6 (ish) other pools dotted round the hotel. Towards the end of the week, as half term started it could be hard to find a lounger round the main pool, but usually fine around the others. Spa- we did go to the spa for a massage. We felt it was quite pricey and not great value for money but nice to have as an option. Also a small church to visit next to the splash park and a small play area. The play area was a nice option for entertaining our toddler for 20mins. We have had such a lovely and enjoyable holiday, we made so many memories and are already looking to book for next year! Family holiday so much fun

We visited this hotel for a weeks holiday with the family. How I wished I had booked 10 days. The rooms and the whole set up is superb. Apartments are very comfortable with a private beach free water sport activities it really is a fab place. Rudd and Chloe and all the on-site entertainment team were so wonderful and made the children’s stay so special. I would not hesitate to come back again.

Thank you Porto Bello Beach

This is our 2nd time at the hotel and we loved it. Thank you to the entertainment team you were all fantastic, you gave us entertainment during the day and night for both adults and kids. A special mention to Chloe and Rudd for putting up with my demanding child and annoying husband and to the Italian team for dancing the nights away with us. The rooms are simplistic and kept clean. There is lots of choice for food everyone is friendly and polite. The pools are clean, the area around the hotel is clean and the beach is also kept very tidy.
