Trevligt ställe med medgörlig, hjälpsam personal. Det är inte som namnet kanske antyder ett beach hotell men det gör inte så mycket. Tar kanske en kvart att gå till stranden och där är det underbart, många shack och bara att lägga sig i en solstol och bli väl omhändertagen. Det enda vi klagar lite på om man nu måste det är den enformiga frukosten som har lite att tillfredsställa en skandinav med. Rostat bröd med stekt ägg går ett tag men inte tre veckor. Bra rum med sköna sängar. Liten balkong men där sitter man inte så länge så helt ok. Många trevliga engelsmän som gästar hotellet, många återkommande sen flera år tillbaka. Poolområdet har få solsängar och ena sidan av poolen har alltid skugga.

This hotel is very clean.Staff helpful and friendly. The pool area is clean and surrounding area are well kept. The restaurant serves Chinese and Italian food as well as a good choice if Indian. I returned again in March and will be returning again in November. As a lone traveller l can recommend it. The walk to the beach is a 10 minute stroll

Fantastic hotel - brilliant staff from Reception through to Walter and his wonderful team. Keep away from TUI rep. No end of complaints and had guests in tears. I was hospitalised for our first week (28 day holiday). Rep appalling, wouldn't give his phone number when requested - partner told to phone hotel who would give him a message! Being in ICU partner wasnt allowed to use a mobile or get internet for TUI app. He was told to contact our rep as l was classed as critical and request TUI to get him a hotel near to hospital. First night he was given a bed in hospital dormitory. When he finally got to see Rep (after 48 hours in hospital) he inform my partner that he was aware of what happened. Then walked away. He didn't try and contact us and if it wasn't for the hospital giving us a named hospital person to contact - he would have been alone. Rep never tried to make contact or see us - we bumped into him after discharge. He told me he'd spoken to my partner on the day of admission! I said this wasn't possible as he'd stayed in the hospital grounds - he called me a liar and said he'd spoken to him. He was so aggressive orher guests approached us to ask if we were OK. He was cross that Paul had tried to make contact on the TUI app and said it wasn't TUIs policy to get involved in clients who were hospitalised. I needed to have blood tests and go to the nearby clinic for reviews on discharge. He said he didn't know where the clinics were. If it wasn't for the lovely manager and his wonderful secretary at Santiago Beach we would have been in real trouble. Secretary even arranged for a nurse to come to the hotel twice in one day for routing blood tests. Manager saw me every day and enquired how I was and whether l needed anything, one of the lovely waiters came to see us whilst in hospital as did Jack the Jeweller who was his usual fantastic self. Walter and his team ensured we had everything we needed and even offered room service. Reported all this to TUI whilst in Goa and someone phoned when we got home in January 2025. We chased this up on 13th May and received a call from TUI today (15th May). When asked why it had taken so long we weren't given a definite answer. Don't let this Rep put you off - go and enjoy this hotel and the wonderful staff. Eat the great food and soak up the relaxing atmosphere (this was our 2nd time there). If you want to book an excursion ask at the hotel - don't use the Rep - he only spoke if you were interested in going on a trip - with inflated prices - had one guest in tears and be aware if you have a medical problem he will ignore you. I thought by booking through a reputable tour company they would be there 24/7 we were told today that the Rep was only at Hotels for a limited period, usually 2 hours a day! As a package holiday we believed there would and should be someone around if there was an emergency - what do we pay our money for? Thank you to all the brilliant staff, Manager, Secretary, Reception, housekeeping and of course all the bar staff and lovely chefs. Nothing to much trouble.

Amazing relax winter sun holiday. Will keep going back again and again.

We have been staying at the Santiago for almost 20 years. It’s great for couples, families and single travellers. We meet wonderful people from all over the world. The food is excellent, cooked to order. Indian, Continental and Pan Asian. The staff are the most polite and friendliest. They always want to make your holiday experience the best. It’s very well managed. Our room is always very clean and comfy. The swimming pool is great too chill out in after a hot day on the beach. The hotel is once again being managed by the De Souza family owners and it shows. The rooms and facilities have been freshly decorated and very clean. Definitely recommend this hotel for a winter holiday.

Where do I start, I suppose at the very beginning. My first visit to Santiago Beach Resort hotel was in the 90’s, and it’s like an addiction, you just have to keep going back every year, I only missed the covid years. What makes this wonderful hotel so special is the staff or boys as they are affectionately called. It’s better now it’s with de Sousa group and Manager Raj is back at the helm. Raj is a bit of a character who will try his best to resolve any issues should they arise. Pritesh Walter Nez and all the boys will go the extra mile to make sure your stay is fantastic. All the staff, waiters, bar, cleaners, garden, pool, maintenance, kitchen, management, security always have a smile on their face, which does make a difference and creates a lovely ambiance at this lovely little hotel. The food is amazing, every dish is just delicious. The choice is endless, I recommend you try as many options as you possibly can. The rooms are basic, (you aren’t in them very long anyway as there is so much to explore out and about) the air conditioning has been replaced recently with new units, there are also ceiling fans, so the rooms are at a comfortable temperature. A fridge and tea making facilities are in the rooms. Toilet rolls and clean towels plentiful. You leave your room key at reception on the way out and say if you want/need the room cleaning.
