Rentouttava kevätloma

Asuin täällä viikon ajan 1.4. alkaen täysihoitopohjalta, enkä suinkaan pettynyt hotelliin (johtaa suoraan uimarannalle). Koko henkilökunta oikein ystävällistä ja kohteliasta ja hyvin työteliästä, huone ylimmässä kerroksessa ja loistonäköala merelle ja ympäristöön. En ole samaa mieltä muiden arvostelijoiden kanssa huoneiden koosta, meistä ne olivat enemmän kuin riittävät ja siivottiin joka päivä. Paljon valinnanvaraa ruoka-aikoina ja, no niin, myönnettäköön, että pääruoat olisivat joskus voineet olla tarjoiltaessa lämpimämpiä. Muuten ainut huolenaihe oli, että liian vähän henkilökuntaa oli töissä viikonloppuna, kun sisään tulvi paljon vieraita. Paljon toimintaa tiettyihin aikoihin päivän mittaan, sen jälkeen minidisko lapsille ja bingoa iltayhdeksältä, jonka jälkeen illan huipennukseksi oli joko tanssia, kosketinsoittaja tai kitaristi/laulaja, mutta nämä oli pääosin suunnattu espanjalaisille asiakkaille. (Me lähdimme siinä vaiheessa pois.) Kauppoja ja baareja on kävelymatkan päässä hotellista, mutta kaikki eivät ole auki -- luulen että paikka lähtee kunnolla käyntiin vasta toukokuun alussa. Kuten sanottu, en ollut ollenkaan pettynyt hotelliin, mutta minun on pakko sanoa olleeni syvästi murheissani pääasiallisesti espanjalaisen asujaimiston käytöksestä. Koskaan ennen ei ole ollut valittamisen aihetta, mutta nämä ihmiset olivat ylimielisiä, jopa tylyjä, meluisia ja kimmastuivat pienimmästäkin syystä. Koskaan ennen en ole nähnyt kahden eläkeläismiehen käyvän käsikähmään sen jälkeen, kun he nähtävästi olivat törmänneet vahingossa toisiinsa kahvikoneelle jonottaessaan.

We have been coming to this hotel for years. We really enjoy coming back most years and always found the hotel to be outstanding. The staff go well and beyond the call of duty to help you with anything, and personally we can't thank Salah Diinn for his service and support providing us with a very memorable stay this time. We have seen him over the last 10 seasons and the hotel is very lucky to have him as part of their team. Thank you again for everything and we will be coming back in a heart heart. Nice hotel!

Very nice hotel. The first visit for our family. Rooms are ok. Animation is excellent! Thanks to Pjotras and Kumba. We had a great time thanks so much. Very disappointing: for arriving guests all inclusive starts at 14:00 hrs. For guests arriving before this time, after a tiring trip, there is no breakfast, unless you pay for it. For departing guests, it ends at 11:00 hrs. If your transfer is late in the afternoon or in the evening, there is no all inclusive, unless you pay for this. So customer unfriendly.

A lovely location for a holiday in Majorca

The best things about the hotel are the entertainment and the location. The entertainment staff are excellent, Piatros and Kuba, organise the daily games and activities for guests and their enthusiasm is contagious. They were always jolly, always funny and always professional. There were a few rainy days during our stay at the hotel but Piatros and Kuba made sure that even rainy days were fun. The location of the hotel is second to none. The hotel is next to a beautiful beach and it is possible to walk directly from the pool area to the sand without having to cross any road or promenade. It is a short taxi ride to Alcudia marina and Alcudia old town, both of which are lovely and a slightly longer taxi ride will take you to the old town of Polenca, which has a wonderful Sunday market. We found the quality of the food at the hotel very good, especially the a la carte evenings. Although it is called 'a la carte' it is probably better described as a 'set menu' with an option of meat, fish or vegetarian for starter and dessert. This is served in a small restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the main dining room. There is a supplement payable for guests on the all inclusive package. We didn't like the main dining room which resembled a factory canteen. A few things about the hotel seemed a bit petty for example we used the hotel laundry service but had to collect the finished laundry from reception ourselves rather than it being delivered to our room and we had to pay on collection rather than charge to our room. Not really what you might expect from a four star hotel. At lunch time in the smaller of the two restaurants wine is served in paper cups, which is rather unpleasant.

The Bad, the Good and the Annoying

The BAD - If you enjoy cold food - this is the hotel for you !!! We stayed for 7 nights, but after 4 evenings of cold / bland food - we decided to eat out for the remaining 3 nights (Even although we had paid for All Inclusive) Breakfasts were also average at best - with a serious lack of variety. Fresh Crepes were available every morning - but only of you wanted to wait in a line of at least 15+ people - The poor chef cooking these needs a helper ! Fresh omelets were only available twice in the week we stayed - This was the only HOT food we ate all week in the hotel - Everything that came from the Buffet Trays was cold (Breakfast and Dinner) - even when a fresh tray was just put out :( The main bar staff seem confused as to when they can offer / or not offer paper/plastic or proper glasses. Many times we were inside the hotel and clearly not making use of the poolside area (e.g. dressed for the evening) and were served drinks in paper / plastic cups, and we had to request proper glasses - Adults do not want to enjoy an evening drink out of a paper cup ! Now the GOOD - The hotel appears to be generally clean and tidy - The reception area / bar areas / restaurant and room were all in a modern theme... Reception staff and restaurant staff were polite / attentive and very efficient within their roles (as mentioned beforehand - the bar staff appear to need some guidance on when certain things can and cant happen - e.g. Being told you cant have a glass for our drinks until 6PM when we are sitting within the INDOOR bar area is just plain stupid) And the Annoying - The pool area - There are signs in every corner of this hotel, advising people NOT to reserve sunbeds - the signs are in the hallways / in the lifts / at the pool / on the beds themselves - But this of course does not stop many - The problem is that no-one is enforcing this - we only managed to make use of the sun loungers 1 afternoon of our holiday... Afraid we wont be back - which is a shame - as the hotel is in a nice location and is generally very modern with friendly staff, but the cold food is a showstopper...
