Kokemuksia Atlantic El Tope -hotellista

Hyvä palvelu, kulahtanut huone

Yövyimme täällä yhden viikon ajan vuoden vaihteessa. Lähdimme yleensä aamiaisen jälkeen (joka oli runsas ja hyvä!) tutkimaan saarta ja palasimme huoneeseen vasta illemmalla. Hotellissa ei olisi ollutkaan juuri tekemistä; liian kylmä uima-allas (vähän vanhan näköinen) ja biljardipöytä. Huoneita mainostettiin moderneiksi, mutta meidän oli ainakin niin kulunut ja vanha että ekana iltana vähän ällötti jopa mennä suihkuun - amme oli inhottavassa kunnossa. Siivous kyllä toimi, muttei sillä korvaa vanhaa ja kulunutta. Parveke merelle päin, siihen ei oikein paistanut aurinko. Partsin ovea ei saanut lukkoon vaikka oltiin ekassa kerroksessa! ”Taulu-TV” oli ehkä 17”, pieni jääkaappi löytyy että sai vedet kylmään. Vastaanotossa, baarissa ja altaalla sai todella hyvää ja mukavaa palvelua! Uuden vuoden aaton illallinen oli maistuva (kuului hintaan vaikka ei oltu all-inclusive) ja bileet hyvin järjestetty.

Yövyimme 6 yötä tammikuussa. Hotellilla mukavat sängyt ja viihtyisät huoneet. Huoneemme oli tilava ja modernisti sisustettu. Mikä parasta kylpyhuoneessa ei ollut ällöä ammetta vaan pelkkä suihku. Hotellin altaalle paistaa aurinko aamusta iltaan, eivätkä muut rakennukset varjosta pihaa. Ruokalasta ja altaalta näkymä el teidelle. Oma huoneemme oli merelle päin, ja meidän terassillemme aurinko ei paistanut ollenkaan koko päivänä.

En halua mennä kotiin!

Olemme juuri lähdössä tästä ihanasta hotellista ja tunnemme molemmat olomme hyvin surullisiksi. Meillä on ollut upeat 12 päivää ja vaikka tämä oli seitsemäs vierailumme, odotamme innolla palaamista. Meistä hotelli on todella mukava.. huoneemme oli puhdas ja näkymä parvekkeeltamme kaunis, etenkin aamuisin, kun lumihuippuinen Mt Teidi näkyi. Aina oli jotakin katseltavaa.. vuoristonäkymä yläkerroksesta on todellakin pienen ekstrarahan arvoista. Ruoka oli hyvää, vaikkakin tarjolla buffet-tyylillä, valinnanvaraa oli paljon ja ruokasalin henkilökunta (suurin osa heistä on työskennellyt El Topessa kauan) oli aina kohteliasta ja mitä avuliainta. Useimpina iltoina tarjolla oli viihdettä ja vaikka emme osallistuneetkaan, loungessa näytti aina olevan vilkasta. Ainut näytös, jonka näimme, oli haukankasvattaja lintuineen.... uskomatonta ja erilaista! Hotelli henkii laadukkuutta, rentoutumista ja ystävällisyyttä... aviomiehelleni ja minulle se oli täydellistä... Kiitos siitä kuuluu koko El Topen henkilökunnalle.

Lovely stay

We were a little concerned having booked this hotel for a three week stay , as a couple of the latest reviews were terrible. However our fears were unfounded and we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and well appointed, the buffet style food ( we were half board) very good and varied and the staff very friendly and helpful. The ladies who cleaned the rooms everyday did an excellent job,, as did the restaurant staff, special shout out to Pedro, the restaurant manager who did a great job and was always smiley and friendly! Also , a special mention of the pool guy who kept the pool and surrounding area immaculate and was always happy to bring a sunshade whenever we asked. We thought this area with its beautiful rose beds and great views was the nicest part of the hotel. One slight negative was reception,at check in we mentioned that we were celebrating our 25th anniversary during our stay. This fell on deaf ears, he really didn’t want to know. I wasn’t expecting any special treatment, just an acknowledgment would have been nice. The only other slight issues were the orange ‘juice’ at breakfast was a powder mix out of a machine which was awful and the evening entertainment was poor. These minor niggles apart, we had an enjoyable stay and will almost certainly return

We keep returning

I think that this is the sixth time that me and my partner have stayed at El Tope. There are many reasons we keep coming back. Some of these mightn't mean it's best for you, but it certainly works for us. The staff are consistently welcoming, friendly, courteous and helpful - the cleaners, reception, bar and restaurant - all deserve a mention for their demeanour and effort. The pool is small by other hotels standards, but certainly big enough for a refreshing dip and a bit of exercise. We find the food - we go all inclusive - to be of a standard that you really don't have to eat out unless you're craving a change of surroundings. Of particular note, the grill chef offers a choice of cooked to order fish or meat option that changes every night. I also like the fresh soups they prepare everyday - definitely not just made with what's left over from the day before. Fresh fruit, salad and local/Spanish specialities are also a treat, especially in November! Puerto de la Cruz isn't overly busy, but it's real Spain and there are plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained and interested. The nearest (well stocked) supermarket is less than 5 minutes walk away, and the seafront about 5 minutes further. I think it's worth paying a little extra for a seaview or private veranda room, but it's certainly not essential. The rooms we've had have been consistently clean, spacious and well maintained. Entertainment - well there's no pool area 'animacion' or bangin out music - which we really appreciate - but if you do want activity leaders, then this mightn't be the place for you. I'm probably a little fussy regarding evening entertainment, so I'll just say that there is an act on each night, but I consider it background music whilst enjoying a drink, rather than something that really grabs my attention. This is a great place to stay if you want to relax, unwind and not have to try to hard. It mightn't tick all of your boxes, but it certainly ticks ours.
