Lovely hotel , great position great short break with the girls

Lovely Hotel, has been refurbished since I was last there, Lovely new pool and pool bar, plenty of beds. Rooms was spacious only negative was the the bath/Shower had a bit of mould. Breakfasts much improved lots of choice and plentiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. Just a walk away from the Marina , restaurants were fab and lots of lovely shops and bars. Will return Thanks

Lovely stay

Stayed here in a junior suite beautiful sea view lovely clean room,comfy bed lots of storage space,coffee and tea machine, a safe a fridge English channels Only there was road works outside hotel and beach was closed as they are working on that too. Now the food is not great for breakfast yes theres something for everyone bit could do a lot better . Also sangria in hotel was horrible along with the beer go down by harbour they have lovely food and drinks Now along the corridor was a dirty floor which was never cleaned not a good look .

golf base

Stayed at hotel Alay with a group of 7 friends as a base for golf, check in was very quick and easy and room was fine for a short stay. There was a large selection of fresh food for breakfast to suit all tastes. Drinks at the bar were not expensive. We had no problem with any noise from the road works outside the hotel. would definitely stay again

Great

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was a huge spread to suit every taste. The pools and sun areas were pleasant with bar service all day. Adult only which was a bonus.

Great hotel, perfect location

Have just come back home from a wonderful 4 night stay at the Hotel Alay. We had the best time. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and easy to deal with. The location of this hotel is second to none, just across the road from the beach and the fantastic marina. It was just wonderful strolling to the marina each evening for fantastic restaurants to suit every taste, nice bars for drinks etc. Then only a short stroll back to hotel Alay after that. The marina is also lovely to visit during thy day with cute little boutiques and shops, ice cream parlours etc. Our room in the hotel was bright and spacious and spotlessly clean. The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in in a hotel. Our only issue with the room was the design of the shower which led to the water flooding the bathroom every time we had a shower. We had to put the pool towels on the floor to try to deal with this. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice for all tastes. Although more suited to continental tastes than Irish but would expect that in Spain. The hotel had so many areas to sit and relax that you never felt it was crowded. Plenty of sun loungers available at the pools and lots of places to sit and relax. Yes there are ongoing roadworks going on right outside the hotel this is nothing to do with the hotel so therefore it should not reflect in my review of the hotel. Our room overlooked directly where the works were being carried out and we were never disturbed by the noise of the work, it did not impact us at all. We loved our stay here and cannot wait to come back.
