Good city hotel

Breakfast: if you stay 1 night, than breakfast is good. Otherwise disappointing. Breakfast a la carte. Options are very limited (fruit bowl, yoghurt/fruit/granola bowl, toast, eggs). Hotel serves a la carte breakfast for non hotel guests with more options. As hotel guest you can take those options, but it comes with an extra fee, which is disappointing. Otherwise tasty food. Room: beautiful, comfortable room. Very clean, very modern clean bathroom. Very quiet. Location: just in the center of Funchal. You can reach everything in Funchal by foot. Lots of good restaurants around.

A unique experience

We loved almost everything about this hotel and are so glad we booked. Pluses: * Unique hotel and decor * Central position * Good value for money * Attentive staff * Views from the balcony * Amazing breakfast Negatives: * Rooms are quite compact * Lack of storage space * Air conditioning seemed a bit patchy We would definitely visit again if we wanted to stay in the centre of Funchal.

Caju Le Petit Perfection!

We were so fortunate to have found Le Petit Caju in our search for our 5-night stay in Madeira. We adored staying in this little (20 rooms) boutique hotel & very much appreciated the beautiful, cozy, creatively designed hotel & mostly importantly the rooms which are modern & very well appointed. The beds & bed linens were so plush & comfortable. The bathroom was pristine. The view from our attic (4th floor) room was gorgeous. Le Caju location is perfect! Within walking distance to the waterfront, many restaurants, shopping & the cable car ride to Monte Palace Madeira Tropical Garden. The front desk staff as well as the restaurant service staff are exemplary. Charles is lovely and was so patient with us as we asked him many questions. He was so helpful. The breakfast service staff were also outstanding, so nice & welcoming each of the 4 mornings we enjoyed our breakfast. In all of our travels, we have never had such delicious breakfasts with such variety. Freshly squeezed “juice of the day”, great coffee, and eggs prepared to order were among the many healthy choices (included in cost of the room!) It was very clear that the people who work at Caju very much enjoy what they do & made our trip to Madeira that much more memorable & amazing. Well done all & thank you!

Very nice hotel, great location

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in the perfect location in the center of town, and you can easily walk around to sightsee. The property is very clean and nicely decorated. And the free breakfast is delicious, and made to order in the hotel restaurant. The staff is also very kind, and even left a box of chocolates and sweet note in my room on my birthday. I highly recommend staying here.

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel

This hotel was a perfect choice for our Madeira visit. The great location, the amazing breakfasts, the sophisticated and interesting decor, the super comfortable bed and linens made our stay really enjoyable. The team staffing the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful to us as we determined our daily itinerary. A wonderful experience!!
