Have visited the Golden Sun Hotel with my wife on many occasions whilst she was still well enough to travel. 2023 was my first visit as a single traveller and on arrival was greeted with "welcome home" by staff at reception, a brilliant greeting from people I have known from previous visits. The Hotel is well situated, extremely clean and provides varied meals and excellent service. I have booked 2024 already and look forward to another period of respite.

No entertainment

This hotel is clutching at straws to boast having 4 stars. It’s clean and modern but that’s all it ever can be. The food selection is ok but not worthy of its star rating. I recommend taking your own plastic glasses as the ones they provide are flimsy and too small and annoyingly in use in the evening when the pool is closed. As an adult paying a lot of money for all inclusive I expect to be able to sit outside on the balcony bar with a proper glass. They claim it’s health and safety which is absurd as all other establishments use glass. It’s purely convenience and cost. Thankfully it’s only a short walk into the town centre where you need to go for any entertainment as the hotel has it on twice in one week ! The result of this is kids have no entertainment during the day, other than the pool and the adults are left wondering why they actually booked this place. If you want a quiet break with nothing to do then this is the place to go.

Just come back from a week away. Hotel and room are super clean. Staff are very friendly. Great location and right on the beach. Negatives: - not much choice of food and drinks - bar/all inclusive ends at 11pm - only allowed one key card for the room meaning when you go back into the room it is a sweat box

Plenty of positives!

Had a good two weeks at this hotel. The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the drinks were limitless. The hotel was well situated, close to the beach, and restaurants and shops. The mini golf was fun and fairly close by. We had a few different trips on the fun train, enjoyed that. The second week we were there, so many places had closed down, as the season was ending. Wall to wall sunshine every day was a big bonus. My advice would be, don’t book after the second week of October if you want a lively nightlife. On the whole, a lovely experience.

Wonderful stay

Stayed here for a week end of October, from getting dropped off at the hotel we checked in with no problems, our cases were taken to our room, the room was lovely, great view overlooking gardens and a sea view, room modern, with air conditioning, the grounds were well maintained, clean , the pool was great, with ample sun beds, even a life guard on duty all day, nice snack bar with a very pleasant lady that would make you food with no problems, drinks around the pool were plentiful and good , the beer was cold and Very nice, the staff are all very hard working and really lovely, nothing is too much trouble for them,for an all inclusive restaurant this was above and beyond our expectations with a very wide selection of hot food, lovely salads and scrumptious desserts, all the soft drinks, coffee etc were great, the bar man with so happy and a pleasure to speak to, the all inclusive drinks were top class, all in all we had a wonderful time here and will most definitely be back, thank you golden sun ☀️
