Great place to stay

Lovely apartments with a great pool and poolside bar, staff are excellent and the hotel is close to all of the attractions of Perissa, especially the brilliant Dorians pub ! The beach is just a few minutes walk in the opposite direction

Not a Good Experience.

Unfortunately for us this was the worst holiday experience we've had. very small tired room with constant smell of sewage, salt water to wash and brush your teeth with, tiny bathroom, no facilities in the room like bottled water, huge spider web in corner of room, poor quality breakfast with very little choice, broken sunbeds around the pool, noise from other guest at 04.00 in the morning, the list goes on. Staff were friendly and helpful, apart from walking into my room without knocking while I was using the toilet! We only lasted 2 nights before checking out and moving to another hotel at our expense.

The Gardenia - a great base in Perissa.

The Gardenia is a friendly family run hotel in a great location halfway between the main strip and Perissa beach. Our room (number 17) was spacious and well appointed with an extra large balcony capturing the sun most of the day. The service was excellent with the towels changed daily and the bed linen every other day. The reception was friendly and helpful regarding trips, bus services and local amenities. Pool was a good size too and just warm enough to swim in despite being mid October. All in all for a reasonably priced, clean and friendly base in Perissa the Gardenia fits the bill.

A lovely hotel

What a lovely hotel. Location is a quick 5 minutes walk from the beach and the nearest supermarket is the same going in the other direction. The welcome we received when we arrived was great and everyone connected to the hotel is so helpful and friendly. We were given some sound advice about site seeing and the buses. (I will mention that some of the buses can be really full and you are packed in. My wife and I spent our whole journey at the bottom of the stairwell). The hotel and our room was very clean do hats off to the cleaners. There was a nice sized pool with plenty of sun beds and brollies. A nice little bar area for drinks and snacks. The breakfasts were adequate with hot and cold options. A lovely hotel and a lovely holiday

Good value in Santorini

Good basic accommodation rooms cleaned really well change of towels every few days air con included ! Breakfast eaten inside or on a small terrace outside choice of cereal yogurt ,scrambled eggs ,bacon ,cake and coffee from an urn which was fine,Safe rental 1 euro a day and reception staff friendly and helpful also in a great location .
