Hyvä hotelli kävelyetäisyydellä Firan keskustasta

El Greco on erittäin hyvä lomanviettopaikka Santorinilla. Hotellialue on laaja, hyvin hoidettu ja siisti. Alueella on useita, enimmäkseen kaksikerroksisia rakennuksia ja viisi uima-allasta. Myös huonetyyppejä on tarjolla lähes jokaisen tarpeisiin. Henkilökunta on kohteliasta ja ystävällistä. Ainoa joillekin matkaajille tärkeä ympäristöasia on vielä lähtökuopissa. Pyyhkeet ja lakanat vaihdetaan päivittäin oli tarvetta tai ei jne. Huonetta tilatessa kannattaa myös esittää toive huoneen sijainnista. Viihdyimme hotellissa erinomaisesti ja voi sitä suositella Firassa lomaa viettäville

Simply beautiful in and out of hotel ! 10mins walking distance to Fira town - Heart of Santorini!

Compound is big with several pools. Every angle is beautiful and feels luxurious all around. Took room with dome and very high ceiling with attached balcony. Basic toiletries - soap, shower gel and shampoo. Clean room, comfortable bed with pillows. Breakfast spread was good. Same variety for my 3D2N stay. Absolutely loving my stay !

Great location, great resort and great staff

We stayed at the El Greco for a week. It is a large site with small collections of apartments that are surround at least 5 pools. It has a pool bar that also serves hot snacks until late so you can eat there if you do not fancy the restaurant or going into town. There are two breakfast restaurants which serve both hot and cold buffets for a good start to your day. Throughout our stay every single member of staff worked so hard and it showed in the high level of service, cleanliness of the whole site and our room. All staff were very pleasant and willing to go the extra mile, even without an expectation for tips. Very refreshing to see this and this made our stay all the better. The hotel is located on the road into Thira town and you just have to cross over the road outside the hotel to view the Caldera, Volcano and any visiting cruise ships. There is a low priced supermarket less than 200m from the hotel to buy your water, snacks, drinks etc. The central bus station is another 150m past the supermarket, where you can catch a bus to anywhere on the island. Only €1.60 per person each way for all trips except Perissa and furthest beaches which are €2.20 each way. This is the cheapest and probably safest way to see the island. Oia is a 10km walk that many do but we took the bus. We also went by bus to Imerovigli and then waked back down through Firastani to the hotel (about 3.5km). Imerovigli is much higher than Oia and looks down on the whole of the Volcano, Caldera and surrounding islands. There is also a large rock outcrop called Skaros that you can explore. The views around here are absolutely stunning and for us far better than Oia, and much less populated than Oia, particularly when there are sevrral cruise ships in. We had dinner in Thira at night and there are at least 150 to choose from. We particularly enjoyed the Parea Tavern and Pelican Kipos restaurants, both of which are circa 400-500m from the hotel and reasonably priced for quality authentic greek food. In summary, the El Greco is a friendly, well kept, and comfortable hotel that is well located to sightsee the island and in particular the Caldera coastline. Our thanks to all the staff at the El Greco for their great service.

Nice Hotel, friendly concierge.

Had looked to go to this hotel for a number of years but Covid got in the way. It didn't appear to be full but, with a choice of pools people were spread out. Only busy at breakfast which is buffet style but plenty of choice from toast, yoghurt, cereals to full cooked breakfast. Room cleaned every day to a good standard, but sometimes had to wait for the room to be cleaned after breakfast before I could get back to it.. Had dinner a couple of times in the restaurant (same place as breakfast). Had a choice of A La Carte or buffet. A La Carte seemed expensive, so went for the buffet, which was good. Better than all inclusive food, which can be a bit too much choice. Sufficient choice though, too much for me there was so much I wanted to have, but eyes were bigger than my belly. Bar service was good. Could pay cash, credit card or put the charge to the account, so plenty of ways to pay. Pool was a bit cold but can get pool towels from reception. A bit of a walk into Thera, but only 10 minutes or so, with the caldera on your left side as you walk into Thera. Shout out for Maria, the concierge, who was very friendly and helpful with restaurant choices.

Lovely hotel

Excellent hotel, staff very professional. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. 10 min walk to Fira main square and bus station. Walk pitside the front of the hotel for stunning caldera and sunset views. A great stay, would recommend.
