Very pleased with our choice

We are in our mid-seventies and late forties and stayed for the last two weeks of June in a two bedroom apartment in Villa Marianna in Valtos. We went with Thomas Cook from Manchester. Two of us were last in Parga 13 years ago (Angelica Apartments). We were in room No 5 which was closest to Mango Club which is right next door. We did not suffer any problem from the low key music from Mango Club. Well received by Paul and soon installed in our apartment. Had the safe and paid along with the room tax. Plenty of space in the apartment with a massive balcony. The canopy had us puzzled for a bit as it did not seem to want to open but with a bit of releasing of a few catches it was fine. You could of course just ask Paul to do it for you as he is very attentive and helpful. One bedroom has a double bed the other two singles. TVs in each room with access to the usual Greek channels and BBC international news. Storage space in the double bed was quite limited but it did have a dressing table. There was a hair drier in each bedroom and even an ironing board in the twin room (we did not search to see if there was an iron!). Cannot comment on the cooking facilities as we did not cook. Microwave oven, kettle, good size fridge but no toaster (it is possible that the microwave had a grill that could be used for toast) and three hob rings. Bathroom adequate, shower a bit small but had a curtain and able to use the shower hands free. There was liquid soap provided and always toilet rolls which some people seem to stress about. We never ran out of hot water but it was very hot all the time we were there. Cleaning is every day and to a very high standard. Beds made every day even if you had done them yourself to a high standard with hospital corners and everything! We even left our breakfast pots by mistake one day and they were washed and put away (felt very guilty) Occasional little present left on fancy folded sheet. Towels and sheets changed twice a week (I think could be more as when made by the lady hard to tell). We managed without the air con for our first week but paid €50 for the second week as it got hotter and hotter. The aircon has only one unit which is in the kitchen/diner so to get the full benefit you have to leave the bedroom doors open but with a bit of organisation you can alternate which door is open. Wi-Fi worked most of the time, and was free of course, if a little slow at times. Less than ten minutes to the beach via Costa Azul bar where the sun beds are free if you use the cafe. Look out for Manoli who will make sure you have happy time on his sunbeds. There are a few books in the reception room along with the TC book that has your pick up times. We were able to keep our rooms for €25 until our pick up time (Manchester) of 5.10pm which was worth its weight in gold.

Very Good.

Bit dubious about going self catering in a long time but was pleasantly surprised. In a nice position, rooms nice and spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. Nothing is to much trouble for Paul the owner. It is good if you have good neighbours which we did and meet some lovely people. The only negative is the music from Mango next door, The place where the pool is. I don't know why they have to start the music at 8.00am till midnight, but you can't hear it when the door is closed. Would we go back Yes but Parga as become quite expensive and in danger of pricing the Brits. out, as they are well down on numbers.

very nice location! spacious room and very clean

The room was very clean and very spacious! location is perfect! also the pool is right next to the property, and it is very nice and free (you can use the pool for free but you will have to at least drink or eat something)!

Lovely stay at Villa Marianna

Just back from a weeks stay at the Villa Marianna. This is a lovely small apartment building a short 7 minute (flat) walk to the beautiful Valtos beach. We were greeted by Paul the owner upon arrival and shown to our studio. We paid 40 euro for air con, 20 euro for the safe and 3.5 euro for the tourist tax. Paul was in no rush for this saying tomorrow, the next day, you are now friends! The studio itself was spotless and cleaned daily, with fresh bed linen at least twice during the week. They are fairly basic but had everything we needed. We didn't cook, but it was great to have the kettle and full sized fridge. The studios all have a balcony with a table and chairs. The gardens surrounding are pretty and well maintained by Paul who was out watering most evenings. Either side of the accommodation are bars both with pools. To the right is the Mango which serves lovely food and drinks throughout the day. The sun beds are free to use and we used the pool regularly to cool off at the end of the day. We were never pushed to buy drinks etc in order to use the sun beds and were welcomed like old friends by the end of the week. To the left is the exotic, which also has a pool and sun beds. We didn't use this as much, however the Exotic does have a small mini market which was very useful and less than a minute from our room. The village wine ( in a plastic bottle) priced at 3.7 euro was surprisingly good! All in all a great place to stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Villa Marianna and would happily stay again. Very pleasant, modern apartments

My family stayed in two separate studios: one on the upper floor, which had lovely views towards Parga and Anthousa castles and over the olive groves, and another on the ground floor that was also private with nice views. The owners and cleaner were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were (very well) cleaned daily, and linen changed at least twice a week. There are 6 studios and 4 apartments, and there is an entrance to the Mango Club next door that is extremely useful. The surrounding gardens are colourful and well cared for, and there is a small childrens play area with swings. There was very little noise from the Mango Club next door. There is another pool bar and small mini market immediately next door to Marianna on the other side from the Mango Club. Larger mini markets can be found c. 150 yards to the right or 300 yards to the left of the apartments. The studios are modern, with modern shower fittings. The downstairs studio that we used was also large, with beds for 3 people.
