Great hotel, memorable stay
We had a memorable stay! Highly recommended for many reasons! The girls at the reception were so friendly and went above and beyond to help us with reservations and transfers. Also the staff at the restaurant always friendly and the food amazing! We will definitely go back ☺️
Beautiful hotel
We had a great time! The hotel is brand new as it was renovated few months ago! The view from our room was amazing! The pool is very beautiful so we spent a lot of time there enjoying the perfect cocktails from the bar. The staff is the best part of this property as they are very friendly and helpful with everything. Thank you for making our holidays better!!
Amazing experience
The best experience we had in Mykonos! Penelope village was a lovely hotel with the best staff ever. They gave as a lot of recommendations about the island and also helped us to arrange transfers. The food was very tasty with a lot of options. Very close to the beach of kalo livadi, a very quiet place to relax! For sure we will come back!
Great Hotel, Hire A Vehicle, Bring Earplugs?
A lovely hotel with friendly staff, nice rooms, great pool and good buffet breakfast. It is situated close to Kalo Livadi Beach, about 6km from the airport. Our local Mykonos taxi to the hotel cost 35 euros. Private hire is 35 - 60 euros (a few drivers at the airport priced it high because they didn't want the job). Being only a couple of minutes from the beach, there is a steep climb to the main road and the nearest town of Ano Mera. This is where you will find supermarkets, cafes and restaurants that are more affordable than the beach clubs. So transport will be useful unless you enjoy hill walking or spending a lot on taxis. The beach is dominated by three clubs that have filled much of the beach with hundreds of beds and umbrellas. Each play out music at certain times of day, with no regard for quality or noise control. There are also two public areas for those who prefer to make their own entertainment. The hotel also plays music all day long and I would like to ask them to revise this policy. Guests come from a wide variety of backgrounds and I do not think electronic drum programmed chillout works for everyone. And not everyone enjoys jazz, so why play it every morning at breakfast? The volume by the pool is too high and, for some of the day, all you can hear is the 'tsktsktsk' of the electronic drums, which is irritating. When there is no music the hotel takes on a much more relaxing feel.
Not a 4* hotel
The hotel is no way near a 4* Rooms not ready on arrival and the window was broken Staff are friendly but you have to ask to get things several time, took three days to get shampoo The hotel is at the bottom of a very steep hill with no public transport running there The hotel capitalise on this charging 6 euros for a 250ml soft drink The pool is clean but limited shady areas and only two umbrellas, the rest being broken and not replaced Definitely not a 4* and I would not recommend Food is heinously overpriced for small servings of mediocre meals
