Fantastic food and very pleasant staff

We arrived early on the 8th of November with a view being of being able to leave our luggage safe only until our check in time of 2pm. The loveley lady on reception once she had confirmed our reservation immediately gave us our wrist bands and invited us make full use of the facilities until our room was available. The interior of the hotel is modern and exteremly clean as was our room (208) close to the elevator and well away from any noise generated by the pool bar. The room was cleaned daily by Mrs Mopodopalous who works exteremly hard to keep everything spick and span. The food in the restaurant is absolutely excellent far beyond our expectations and the best in any 4star all inclusive hotel we have ever visited all nicely cooked and very well presented. The main bar is semi enclosed by the pool side and offers a selection of local beverages which are of average quality. Evening entertainment is also hosted at this bar which can be quite noisy,karioake and the like. The lobby area has a reasonable amount of comfortabe seating, if one wishes to sit somewhere reasonably quiet, and what appeared to be a wine bar,unfortunately during our stay this bar was not open, however there are vending machines with alchoholic and non alcholic beverages and snacks at prices in comparison to the local mini market. Unfortunately during our stay there was a group of 3 children who thought it would be fun to play fencing with pool cues and throw pool balls around this area, their parents were conspicuos by there absense and although this behaviour could clearly be witnessed by staff non intervened to restrain them Another couple of issues on the downside was both my partner and myself found the beds to be very hard and struggled to get a good nights sleep, (this is the only issue that would prevent us from re booking next year) and we feel perhaps a mattress topper would easily resolve this issue. Another minor gripe is that some outdoor furniture was damaged (hammocks) and these were not removed in a timely fashion giving the place an unkempt appearance. Free wifi is provided unfortunately there was no signal when sat on our balcony, this is just a minor issue

Amazing holiday

10 night stay at Gouves Bay hotel. Bar staff, Costas and Savvina make the hotel without a doubt, they are so friendly and entertaining! Food was fairly good, not much variety for fussy eaters however the drinks menu was fabulous, lots of cocktails to choose from. Hotel is right on the beach and close to lots of shops and restaurants, we enjoyed eating out a few times as wanted to venture out of the hotel. If you are an animal fan this place is for you, lots of stray cats around the hotel and ever so friendly, also a few dogs throughout the stay. Only down side was the pool is not heated so was a little chilly as we were in October!

Amazing team at Gouves Bay Hotel

We have just spent a lovely few days at the Gouves Bay Hotel and were a bit concerned when we read negative review. Well we were very happy with the hotel, bedrooms were clean, food was tasty and varied and staff were great. HOWEVER, on our last day (Saturday 15th October) the storm hit! A literal storm, the staff at the hotel were amazing, they could not do enough for those of us that were stranded, they gave us food, made calls to the airport, to taxi companies and reassured us that we would not be put out onto the streets! I do need to highlight Despina on reception, she was amazing and could not do enough for us, somehow managing to find a taxi driver to take us to the airport when there were none to be found, and her goodbye hug was greatly appreciated by our entire party. I hope that all of your families are safe - thank you for keeping us safe.

I visited Gouves Bay earlier this year and had to come back because of how much my family and I loved it! I came home yesterday and all I can say that it was perfect! I could not fault any of the members of staff, there was a warm welcome every day and the service was incredible. A big thank you to the bar staff, including Kostas and Savvina, for always being so polite. Also the amazing restaurant staff including Ani and Liza who worked really hard and greeted us with a smile every meal time, making us feel so welcomed. When the kind lady from reception saw us arriving, she remembered us from June and gave us a huge smile. I loved the entertainment, it was inclusive but there was no pressure to join in to the activities. Day entertainment involved Table Tennis and Darts and the evening entertainment included pop quizes, karaoke, fantastic dancers, bingo and a disco. There was something new and enjoyable every day! The entertainment manager was kind, and brilliant, always having a laugh. The rooms were great, and the beds were so comfortable (especially the pillows!). The balcony area was clean, spacious and relaxing and the view was gorgeous. The cleaning lady, Freedom was a pleasure to talk to, always leaving our room spotless! I don’t know where to begin with the food..it was to die for! Definitely the best resort i’ve been to for food. I always left feeling full and happy. There was a wide choice of food and desserts, there was something for everyone. The Chef’s and Restaurant manager were always pleasant and welcoming. I will be coming back to this hotel next year - it is my favourite place! Thank you again to everyone for making this a warm and enjoyable place for me and my family. The most amazing holiday! ❤️

I don’t know where to start! I came with my family who visited in June and my boyfriend, we had heard the amazing things about the hotel and wanted to visit! It was the best decision ever made. Everything about Gouves Bay was brilliant. The best holiday with amazing memories. Want to say a huge thank you to the staff who made us feel so welcome, Ani and Liza in the restaurant and the bar staff & entertainment team. The lovely house keeper “Freedom” made a real effort everyday keeping our room nice and clean and left a kind gesture at the end of our stay, the lovely lady at reception who was so welcoming and pleased to see us. Can’t fault the staff! There was always lots to do in the day time, we took part in the darts competitions and played table tennis! The evening entertainment was brilliant and always so much fun! The hotel was nice and spotless and the food was delicious! We will be returning next year and look forward to making more memories. Thanks again Gouves Bay and all of the staff for making it such an amazing holiday. 5 stars! Lucy
