A Wonderful Holiday
We stayed here on the recommendation of our travel agent and we’re not disappointed. The location is the best we have experienced sun bed to sea 10ft and pool 10ft best of both worlds. Beach towels are obtained from reception, €10 deposit and just €3 for cleaning that’s for however many days you have them. Changeable everyday which was great, just don’t forget your towel clips. Drinks we good, a reasonable cocktail menu and hand made not pre mix. We take our own reusable cups to save on plastic, there was no problem with that, I also take reusable straws. Food was amazing for a small scale buffet, plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. A lot is Greek cuisine which is great because you are in Greece and was able to try so many different dishes to try. Sadly saw quite a few adults tucking in to the kids buffet, chips, onion rings etc as well as pasta with plain sauce!! There are hot and cold snacks available during the day outside meal times during the day. There is a kettle and cups in room, you need to take your own tea and coffee, get cup of milk from coffee station or pop to local shop for a bootle like we did as there is a fridge in the room. There is ample open plan shelving and wardrobe space. There is a light strip round wardrobe which activated on passing so we gently covered sensor to stop this happening during the night when using bathroom. The shower did make the floor wet but heard that bathrooms up being updated through the winter so watch this space. Beds are comfortable and there are extra covers pillows in the room should you need any. As in all Greece please do not put toilet paper in the toilet put in bin beside every toilet, take nappy sacks for use for this in your room. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms are keep very clean. This was the first season the hotel was all inclusive and feel that taking that in mind it will iron out any little tweaks going forward. We had such a wonderful time that while we was there we contacted our travel agent and booked a four week stay for next year. No better recommendation than that😎. Jayne & Mark
3 star Hotel 5 star plus holiday!!
The best location for a holiday with children, fantastic location, sandy beach and shallow sea feet away from sunbeds and outdoor pool. Hotel needs a bit of TLC but all the staff from grounds staff and up are very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble for any of them. Large selection at every buffet meal and plenty of good food. Thanks to all the staff for a great holiday.
Amazing location & helpful staff
Oct half term for 4 nights AI booked through EasyJet. Gave 4 * as slight niggles to what was expecting, especially as price wasn’t cheap (£1.9k for 3 ppl for 4 nights, inc. flights). GOOD POINTS: Amazing location! Perfect for lazing around pool and going onto beach within a few steps. Sea was crystal clear and shallow. Lovely & sandy and warmer than pool so ended up swimming in sea rather than pool (unheated). Beautiful walks on beach early morning & sunset. Short walk to shops/bars/restaurants. Highly recommend Calamis Restaurant (on RH side going up to the main strip). Warm, friendly owners & staff. We couldn’t get to a traditional Greek night (hotel do one but after we left) so the restaurant staff showed my daughter Greek dancing around tables. Not sure what block other reviewers were in but ours (Room214 in block to left as you come out of reception) had a lift Plenty of sun beds in different surroundings, could even take them onto beach. Staff allow you to take food to undercover tables right on beach so lovely setting to eat, but beware of the wasps! Maybe some wasp deterrents could be hung nearby to attract away from food. That area can get chilly/windy at night but that’s time of year so if going in Oct take a jacket if you want to sit out there in the evening. Staff v accommodating & friendly. Relaxed attitude meaning that you don’t feel like you’re being told to stick to rules. Would like to say thank you to the lovely lady on reception who allowed us to stay in our room longer on departure day & let me pay remainder when we checked out as I didn’t have enough cash at the time. Bar staff work hard. Special thank you to bar manager who gave us extra bottles of water for our daughter who was suffering from a migraine one night. Played good beach/pool music during day. Plenty of staff around cleaning. Good quality food, no tummy upsets like we usually get. A variety of dishes but a bit repetitive. We don’t have allergies so can’t comment for those on special diets. Never short of food during the day/evening. Only breaks of about 30 mins whilst they clear away breakfast/lunch/dinner to serving snacks. Not much variance in snacks but not an issue if just filling a hole & handy if been out & missed a meal. Bedrooms have been refurbished, albeit, minimalist so more practical storage/furnishings needed. Hairdryer supplied with a diffuser attachment but that didn’t fit though. Reasonable hire price for safe & towel hire but you do need to ask. Spa was open and looked nice but didn’t have time to use so can’t fully comment. AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT : Nothing major, & maybe due to time of season, so please take below points with this in mind. Not sure if EasyJet have some photos/description wrong but not 4* (location is 5* though!) & 2 bedroom apartments only have 1 bathroom not 2, which was disappointing as needed extra bathroom with a teenage daughter & one of the reasons for booking. Not hotel fault as they said they don’t have 2bed/2bathrooms. On arrival some more information regarding safe/towel hire, local excursions, would’ve been good rather than having to find out yourself. Maybe due to end of season but fountain in gardens central to apartments wasn’t working (but that’s just me as saw this on booking pics & would’ve been nice to have that to view whilst sitting on balcony with a drink chilling). This could be because of time of year as well, but our towels/swimwear wouldn’t dry when hung over balcony. Some areas look tired but bedrooms/reception modern so may be undergoing refurb still. There’s tech lighting/door electrics but bit like the Krypton factor to work out sequence to get the right light/s you want on! Auto light in wardrobe goes on if you get up in night. Good to be able to see but wakes you up if it’s not you getting up! Need more hooks/mirrors in rooms. Not sure what’s going on in bathrooms but tiling old and bathroom accessories deteriorated with limescale but modern shower. Ours had a large overhead shower with a hand held shower as well but water pressure/temperature not good. Also, they didn’t work out the placement properly as it was the other side of shower screen and couldn’t even move shower head to behind screen as it would hit the overhead bar stopping it. (See photo). Kitchenette had drawers & fridge/freezer with complimentary bottle of water but no tea/coffee supplied and only a kettle. So no hob/microwave/toaster which would’ve been handy. But as AI maybe thought not needed but had drawers etc to store food items. Cocktails not great so don’t get excited. Wine/juices on tap so again not the best. The water comes out of one of the juice pumps so had a hint of apple and one of the dispensers the water tasted a bit salty. Despite loads of staff milling around there was not always enough cups for hot beverages. Buffet area was small and so not much room at busy times meant queuing people were in way of getting to the food. Needed a nice, relaxing and comfy area to sit in the evenings. The undercover area of tables on beach and cemented areas under trees could’ve been made so nice. Just needed some cushioned seating and fairy lights to make a chilled, comfy surroundings which wouldve made it a perfect area to watch the sunset and enjoy evenings next to the beach. Evening entertainment not good. Only bar music and with no relaxing areas to sit, didn’t really give us something to look forward to at the end of the day. Hotel have not made the most of this area. And with a little bit of TLC and thought into room amenities/communal areas, along with already having the spa, this could easily be 4 *. In general, would recommend this hotel. Keep in mind time of year you go though.
Fantastic all inclusive holiday
Best holiday ever …….yes not a 4 star but very very good 3 star. Food and drink fantastic, beach with the clearest sea I’ve ever seen steps away and very good pool bar. Yiannis was the hardest working friendliest bar man I’ve ever met. Only downside was the 4th bed for my 11 year old was so uncomfortable she had to stop in our double bed which wasn’t a problem.
3 star at best, not 4 star. Overall a brilliant holiday.
This isn't a four star hotel, so I've rated my experience three star. There's no lift and nobody offers to take bags up to rooms. We arrived after 9pm and dinner was made available for us and the other arrivals. We had paid for a sea view room, the room we had was behind the kitchen area and you had to lean over the balcony to see the sea, we complained and were moved to another room with a better view, luckily one was available (although it was on the 3rd floor, with no lift...) The rooms are very basic, despite being recently renovated it was clearly done on a budget, no pictures on the walls, no soft furnishings, we had to ask for extra pillows, no duvet but a single blanket each, one of the beds was really noisy, the bathroom really needs some attention as per recent reviews, it doesn't matter what you do the bathroom floods when you take a shower and there's nowhere to hang clothes or store toiletries, no complimentary shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. There's a kettle but no tea or coffee, we asked for some and we were told to take some from the cafeteria if we wanted some! You have to pay to use the safe. The food is average, the same thing for breakfast every day, cups for tea and coffee regularly ran out and were not refilled, we ended up eating out a lot. The wasps were an issue and prevented us from sitting outside in the day, they would be all over you if you had food or drink outside (not the hotels fault but maybe more could be done to prevent this?). There are however some positives and I find that the above points are quite easily rectified if the hotel just made some tweaks, the location is amazing, right on the beach and within easy reach of bars and shops although a lot were closed due to time of year. The beach is sandy and water crystal clear. The staff were brilliant and very quick to clean away dirty plates, they were friendly and can't do enough to help. I would recommend this hotel if you can look past the above negative points, location wise it ticks all of the boxes and we have had a brilliant holiday, none of this ruined our time here they were mostly minor inconveniences but I reiterate that this hotel is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion.
