Best Hotel and service in Phuket
Our stay at DTL was amazing from start to finish. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. Special shout out to Suzie (Supaporn Panan) who looked after us throughout our stay from helping me with treatment for my mosquito bites to arranging excusrisions we wanted to go on. The manager of the hotel was also very welcoming and ensured every guest was happy and had everything they needed. Cannot fault this hotel or is amazing service!
Hospitality at its best!
I stayed at the DTL from August 8th to the 25th, as part of the Sandbox program. It was my first visit to this hotel in Phuket, and I must say that it was probably one the best hotels I've stayed at in recent years, both in terms of service and value for money. From the moment that i arrived to the hotel, I was greeted by the GM, (Khun Ging) who graciously welcomed me to the hotel and said; "for the next 2 weeks this is your home, if you need anything at all don't hesitate to contact me personally or my staff and we will be more than happy to assist you with anything you may need "...from that moment on i knew that it was going to be the perfect two week stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the hotel facilities were also good, the pool area was well maintained, with very close access to the beach. The hotel is well positioned within the Laguna, its only 10 mins from Boat Avenue, and a 2 minute walk from the Canal Village Shopping Centre, which houses a Family Mart, Pharmacy, retail shops and restaurants, its also the location for the PCR medical centre, where you will need to do your swab testing during the first 14 days of your stay, its extremely convenient for those who are staying at the hotel. The breakfast is decent, a good selection of everything one might expect from a nice buffet, Chef Amid is always walking around the hotel as well, so if there's anything else you desire, he's always happy to try and arrange something different to accommodate their guests. All the staff are just so friendly and helpful, and this is why it felt more like home than a hotel. Overall, I had a wonderful time, a big thank you to K. Ging and her lovely staff who really went beyond the call of duty to make sure that my stay was a memorable one, and indeed it was on every level. I look forward to returning in the future with my family, and I hope that this review will help others make the right choice when planning their next vacation to the Island of Phuket.
Amazing reward worthy hotel
My wife and I stayed at DTL hotel in the periode 27 July - 11 August 2021. None of us had ever experienced such high extent of service and hospitality at any hotel in south East Asia as we did here. The service is excellent, the staff are extremely polite, friendly and service-minded, and the manager is a lovely lady who is ready to assist you at any time. The room (107) was beatifully designed and very clean. The swimming pool was wonderful with a very soft, fresh and clean water. One finds lots of fantastic restaurant in the nearby areas. We will definitely stay at the hotel again when we come to Phuket.
The original Grande Dame of Phuket - and still the best
With the sand fresh between my toes, I wanted to give a huge shoutout to the Dusit Thani Resort and Spa in Laguna, which is SHA + Plus rated and ready for your 2-week stay. We checked out today, having completed our 'Sandbox' and we couldn't have wished for a better place to work, relax and pass, what was 14 stressful days (this is a 'get home' UK washout for us, not really a 'holiday' as such). The GM at the hotel sets the tone at this 5 star resort. She graciously and personally greets every guest on their arrival (ladies, check out her effortlessly stylish wardrobe, day after day) and she is regularly to be found wandering around all areas of the hotel - the bar, reception, the wedding verandah, by the pool, her restaurants - all in the name of checking in on her guests and seeing what they need to make their stay more comfortable. We mentioned that we were working and that wifi had been a little patchy (mainly in the storms) and bam, she set up a dedicated pop-up, co-working space, beachside, in one of their closed-for-now restaurants. She had thoughtfully had her team place a coffee machine, filtered water and had her technician ensure the signal was as strong as it could be for us - how is that for service? For families, there is a kids programme, fish to feed and chickens to collect eggs from at the hotel's own organic hen house. On the weekends there's a whole programme for families to do activities together, but there's always something happening with a daily changing programme. For grown ups there is a tennis court (with a tennis pro for lessons or a good work out), beachside yoga, a decent gym, plenty of sunbeds and a gorgeous pool. The in-room TV is good if that's your thing and there are a ton of recent, modestly priced on-demand movies (less than a cup of coffee) to rent on rainy days or early nights. There's a varied enough menu to keep your tastebuds occupied for 14 days, with daily poolside specials (beef quesadillas, calamari, fish finger sandwiches etc.) - but for those who get itchy feet, it's a 15 min walk into Boat Avenue which on many nights was starting to buzz and by day, you saw the green shoots of recovery as business owners are dusting off their shop fronts and re-opening. We first visited the Dusit Thani around 12 years ago. She is a stunning, old-style colonially, influenced beauty - not an ounce of poured contrete or gaudy plastic in sight. Over the years she's been in residence, she has matured into the 'Grande Dame' of Phuket and has both settled into her environment and allowed nature to grow around her - so you'll find the grounds are extensive and beautiful. You have to look past (and forgive) a little chipped paint here, or a slightly unkempt bit of grass there, because if you do, you'll find a jewel in Phuket's often, tarnished crown that you overlook at your peril. Oh and when we came 12 years ago, we reckoned we paid at least 3-4 times the price to stay here, so it really is too good to miss staying here right now. Finally, where as the GM indeed sets the tone, her beautiful staff carry her standards throughout the business. You get used to the kindness of the Thai people, but these guys take it a level above. Khun Tuk at the Pool bar, Khun Surayee in the Trattoria or Khun Sukie or Khun Illya on reception, the tennis pro, the pool boys, the lovely lady who so beautifully serviced our room and left us little healthy 'treats' every night - you were all part of a well-oiled, customer-obsessed team and it showed in everything you did. Thank you everyone - we left with mixed feelings - anxious to be on to the next part of our journey (soon, hopefully, to be 'allowed' home) and yet eager to return another day. Until we see you again - we wish you many blessings and good business. ☺️ @Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket #phukethotel #dusitthani #dusitthaniphuket #PhuketSandbox #SHAPlus
Excellent hotel with stunning beach sunsets. We love it!
This was our first visit Dusit Thani Laguna and we had our great time! This is a beautiful hotel thats situated on the beach with beautiful rooms and wonderful facilities. A beautiful sunset view could be seen from the balcony. The staff was friendly and responsive. I would like to sincerely thanks the following staff in particular who made our stay amazingly wonderful. - Khun New(HR) was very welcoming. He never fails to deliver excellent services and tended to our need attentively and always available with a smile. - The front desk (Khun Jan) provided full concierge support and very kind to gave us a room up grade. Thanks to the Dusit team. We will definitely visit Dusit Thani again! :)
