Great location but small rooms

The hotel is situated very centrally, very close to Metro and bus stations. Generally I was content with my stay there. The room was modern and clean and the breakfast, although it seemed small, had everything. I only wished it had pasteis de nata every day. They were delicious. The only downside for me was the size of the room. It was very small and I couldn't go easily from one corner to the other. Other than that I would certainly recommend it for a stay in Lisbon.

A Good Value

The My Story Hotel Tejo turned out to be a really good spot for us. It’s very centrally located, just one block from Praca de Figuera where there are bus and metro stops. Just two blocks away is that starting point for the famous 28E trolley line (which we rode from beginning to end, both ways). If you want to get to know something about the city, jump on this trolley and ride it through many different Lisbon neighborhoods. The staff at the hotel were all very nice and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, including providing new towels. The room, by normal European standards, is huge. We had a large bathroom, a sitting room with a fold out couch, and a bedroom as large as ours at home. There is ample storage space for clothing. With the windows closed, you can’t hear anything from outside. And the price was reasonable. The only drawback is that the included breakfast is really bad. There are a ton of choices, including pastries eggs, meat, beans, yogurt, fruit, etc. But none of it is very good. The pastries were shockingly bland, as were the eggs. Everything we tried was mediocre at best. (If you want a really nice breakfast, walk two blocks to the Copenhagen Coffee Lab. They have fantastic pastries and sandwiches, as well as good coffee.) So, skip the breakfast, but enjoy everything else about the hotel. Overall, it’s quite a good value.

Good Location but quite basic

The hotel is very convenient to the Rossio subway which is ideal for travelling to and from the airport. The hotel is ok but the fairly basic facilities are not inspiring. Breakfast is quite caotic at 9am with very limited room, however the food was ok. The heating and hot water in the rooms is very poor and every shower over 3 days was luke warm at best, even after wasting loads of water running it for 5 minutes each time which is not ideal. Overall OK for a weekend,

Fantastic location

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Amazing location, great room, breakfast and staff. We had room 207 at front of hotel- it was huge and despite location, with the windows and shutters closed, absolutely silent. The location is close to Rossio Metro and perfectly located to explore all that Lisbon has to offer. Breakfast was busy but a wide variety, with something for everyone and it was constantly replenished - so felt we were well fed each morning. Wouldn't stay anywhere else now in Lisbon.

Disappointing

Fantastic location, very close to Rossio metro and train station, so really easy to get to/from Airport. Also few minutes from the sea. Breakfast good, staff ok, but the room let it down. Our room, 227 was very small and stuffy. Very little room to move around the bed. Window facing a wall of a building site, so no natural light. Wardrobe had very few hangars, and so high I struggled to hang my clothes. Air conditioning was not very effective, so room alway too hot or cold. Building work started next door at 7.30 am so no sleep after that time. There was a constant smell of drains in the bathroom, complained twice but nothing done. If you do stay, make sure you have a room with an outside view, as room was very claustrophobic.
