What a gem

We looooved the GHS and Baska Voda. What a find. Didnt plan on this location, we were due to Tenerife prior to the FCO change of travel policy. The location is perfect. The staff fabulous. The rooms are more than ample and included tea making facilities, bathrobes, slippers and although we did not have a balcony, we still had a fantastic sea and sunset view. We would have loved a balcony so if you do too, go for level 2 or 4. The restaurant is good quality food and very attentive service, we are foodies and ate in the restaurant more than enough times to warrant half board so if you can, select this. The bar terrace is a super area and there was often a evening singer who sang English and Croatian background music, which was v pleasant. Prices are reasonable. The local wine generally throughout BV is recommended by all venues, its absolutely super and about £12 and served in a litre carafe . Reception team are great. Breakfast is usually a buffet but due to CV19 is served by the waiters and waitresses and you probably have more interaction than normal for a buffet. The honey was ammmmazing....just saying. Great range of hot and cold food to choose from. The wellness centre was not open but we didnt know that before arrival, however they gave us access to Hotel Horizont which is a short stroll away to their pools etc so no dramas there. Fantastic decor, very boutique. The beach is on your doorstep,the mountain directly behind makes a beautiful backdrop and beach path goes in either direction for miles. We will be back.

Totally in love with this beautiful boutique hotel

If you enjoy beautiful, stylish, modern but still very homey place - Grand Slavia is your place! The hotel has great location, the beach is just cross a street and also you are also super close to the "centrum" of Baska Voda. The staff was really nice, helpful, smiling all the time, very friendly. We had room without a balcony (which I was missing a lot not only for view but also it was nowhere to dry our wet beach clothes - maybe hotel can come with some idea how to solve this problem). The room was tiny but was so cosy and beautiful. Very clean. Breakfast was fine. Not that many choices and also nothing was prepared freshly (like eggs) but it was definitely fine. There was few negatives: PARKING PROBLEM! The hotel has their own parking (not close to hotel) but its small and it cant fit all the guests cars, so if you are coming with your own car, maybe you can prepay that parking spot. Hotel is right next to church, which is very charming and beautiful and convenient if you go for mess. But the churches bells would wake up even dead, so if you are sensitive to noice or has small kids make sure your room is on the other side than the church side, it might help. But overall I love this place, its really worth to stay at least for few nights.

Making a visit even better.

Staying here for 2 nights when holidaying with family. This hotel has very friendly, efficient staff who work tirelessly. The service provided is superb. Tonight masques have been provided for all guests so they may join in carnival celebrations taking place. We have enjoyed our stay very much.

Beautiful Hotel

Stayed at this hotel for 10 days from 20 sept 19. Was given an amazing room at the front of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the sea and marina. Was nice sitting out on balcony at night watching the world go by with glass of wine from mini bar. Room was well equiped with kettle tea and coffee, safe and mini bar with prices which were very reasonable and which was restocked everyday. Had a bath with shower and toiletries were provided which was a nice touch, also had a hairdryer. Plenty of storage space. Fixtures in room were of a high standard. Room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice. Ate in restaurant a couple of times in the evening. Food was really good with lot of local dishes. Big portions and piping hot. Restaurant staff were very attentive and explained what was in the dishes. A meal for 2 with wine was about £45 . Had a drink in the bar every day, prices were cheaper than most of the places nearby. Good selection of drinks from beers to gins and cocktails. It was a nice area on the terrace to sit and pass the time with a couple of drinks. Every member of staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Maria and Marina promptly dealt with a few issues we had like locking ourselves out of safe lol they made us laugh everyday. Absolutely fabulous hotel would definately recommend this hotel and I will certainly be back.

A marvellous hotel

My wife and stayed in room 403 for a week, enjoying the marvellous facilities and wonderful views from our large balcony. The hotel was renovated in 2017, and is modern and stylish with fabulous lighting throughout. The room was exceptionally comfortable, with the only minor quibble being the absence of suitable storage for dresses. We used the stylish indoor wellness centre/pool daily. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast, and during our stay used both the buffet and a la carte dining options. The food in the dinner buffet was really good, with a wide range of options: all our selections were really well cooked and very, very tasty. More could be done to differentiate the dinner experience from breakfast (candles/glasses/linens) but the food was the star. I have posted a separate restaurant review. Finally I want to recognise all the hotel staff who helped make our stay enjoyable and memorable. I am grateful to the duty manager who resolved an issue in a way that clearly demonstrated his and the hotel’s commitment to excellence and customer service. Thanks also to the receptionists (main and wellness centre) who were enormously helpful and supportive when my wife fell ill in the last few hours of our holiday as we awaited transfer to the airport.
