Hotel was booked by the tour company. Stayed 3 nites. The room assigned to us had 3 beds; a Double n 2 single beds. Prob a family room. Door locked via key n power supply to the room was by inserting your key tag which i believe is an RFID activated. Not so good a system as even the mini fridge power supply is linked to this grid so u cant get anything cold once you leave the room. Room itself is longish n narrow. there was a writing table but if you sit on the chair, no one can get pass you. Room is not carpetted. No bedroom slippers provided. Location of the hotel is on a hill. Plus point is that you get to take pix of a scene used to promote Santorini n the sunset in the morning is beautiful.
We so enjoyed our stay there and I hope to return. The location is perfect. The staff is wonderfuly patient and helpful!! Also, the decoration of our room was very nice with plenty of space and positive vibes!!
This hotel is so large you can get lost in it's maze and is picturesque in every way. We were booked here as part of a group tour and actually had the option to upgrade to a different hotel and I'm so glad we didn't spend the extra money and do that. The people who did upgrade were kind of shocked when they saw our hotel and one said she actually felt like a sucker! Our room was great and the pool area was stunning. It is in an excellent location to walk into town and had a number of nearby restaurants also. The breakfast wasn't outstanding but there was more than enough to make do. I ended up toasting bread and using the deli turkey and cheese to make a turkey melt for breakfast since none of the hot items really appealed to me. I do wish they had a better pool towel system in place. You have to request it from the front desk which is quite frankly a jaunt from just about everywhere including the pool. I tried to grab one in the morning but since we obviously were not heading directly there they would not let me have one. Having a towel card system would at least make people responsible for making sure they are turned back in but could be collected at their convenience. Just a small note but everything really was great.
Clean stylish hotel
Good clean and stylish hotel. Pool is excellent. Gym ok but a little dated .breakfast was fine but not of the best quality.SuNset from carpark over the road is the best on the island. No need to go to Oia with the crowds!!
Holiday in Santorini Sue and Sheila
Ok, I'll start off with this is a lovely, clean, newly refurbished hotel, 5* without a doubt, that's the hotel, the rooms are lovely, although storage is minimal and I left half my clothes in case as there wasn't anywhere to put them, but hey that's not too much of a problem. The swimming pool and bar are first class, plenty of beds, umbrellas, soft double beds and cushions, so that's the hotel. Now the food, self service, breakfast is not too bad although the hot food is always tepid or cold, eggs included, the dinner is the same, tepid or cold. You have the same choice of same meals every night and there are three desserts Greek yoghurt honey cherries, Greek sweet cake and melon we had this for ten days. We paid a total of £3,064.00 for the whole holiday and was looking forward to some nice food, instead we are very disappointed and went out one night and ate elsewhere. This hotel needs a decent chef, some instructions on serving, setting of tables and presentation, for breakfast, they need someone cooking fresh eggs and scrambled eggs or omelettes, it's a touch...it's such a shame that an important part of the hotel let's this place down big time. It's even situated in a prime place for the sunset but soon, they will lose custom because of these points. Summing up, hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful but a bit more professionalism in the areas above, including headware for hair whilst around food would go a long way. The owner of this hotel needs to read some of these reviews to take on board the downside and improve his gorgeous hotel in its surroundings.
