Hotellissa oli todella siistiä, ja siellä siivottiinkin koko ajan. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Ruoka oli aika hyvää.

Sekä teemaravintoloiden että kylpylän toiminnasta olisi kaivannut parempaa informaatiota. Vaikka hotellihuoneessa olevassa vaatimattomassa vihkosessa oli kerrottu, että ravintolat ovat tilausravintoloita, kesti kolme päivää, ennen kuin keksimme, missä pöytävarauksen voisi tehdä. Samoin kylpylä oli aika huomaamattomissa ykköskerroksessa. Miksei sen ovella ole isoa kylttiä, jossa lukisi: Tervetuloa varaamaan aikasi rentouttaviin hoitoihin. Miksi ei ala-aulassa ohjata näkyvästi kylpylään. En koskaan nähnyt siellä yhtään ihmistä, ainoastaan oven läpi pitkästyneen näköiset vastaanoton tytöt odottamassa asiakkaita. Teemaravintoloihin olisi myös voinut olla kyltit ja selvitys, mistä tilataan aulatiloissa. Jäimme myös kaipaamaan vastaanoton tienoille kelloa ja kalenteria, josta näkyisi, mitä päivää eletään.

Erinomainen palvelu. Laukut tultiin hakemaan jo ulkoa, sisäänkirjoittautuminen tapahtui nopeasti ja sen aikana tarjoiltiin juotavaa. Palvelu joka puolella hotellia oli ystävällistä ja nopeaa. Ruoka oli todella hyvää ja vaihtelevaa. Ihania drinkkejä ja monipuolisesti iltaohjelmaa.

Maden var elendig. Alle i familien - 6 voksne synes maden var dårlig. Vi kunne ikke få plads på a La Carte restauranterne, pga at vi var for mange 6+2børn.

Toimiva kokonaisuus, mikäli tykkää isosta hotellista ja all inclusiven hälinästä.

Hotelli on siisti ja kokonaisuutena toimiva, ihan tähtiensä arvoinen meidän mielestä.. Uima-altaita sopivasti, mutta ihan pienille (alle 140cm) vähän nihkeästi. Ravintolassa on hyvä ruoka ja valikoima erittäin reilu. Jonottamista välillä, mutta iso on hotellikin. Henkilökunta oli pääsääntöisesti ystävällistä, etenkin ravintolassa. Ruokaa sai kattavasti koko ajan ja lähes kaikkialta. Asiakkaita on eniten Saksasta, Briteistä ja sitten sieltä sun täältä. Hotellissa myös toimiva auton vuokraaminen ja järkihintainenkin (3pv/180e). Hotellin lähellä on hyvin erilaisia ravintoloita ja palveluita, kauppoja jne. Dösä Rodokselle lähtee myös läheltä. Ranta on erittäin miellyttävä ja siisti. Loivasti syvenevä ja ei kivinen, hyvää ja tasaista hiekkaa. Hotellin allasalue myös suuri ja tuoleja paljon. Kokonaisuutena hyvä, jos tykkää suuremmista hotelleista, väkeä on reippaasti. Kaikki toimi silti hienosti. Special thanks goes to staff in main restaurant and especially to George Afandou and a nice young lady, who we have most fun with.. We have lot of nice time and i learn a bit more the language of Greek. Thanks for that. All the stuff makes a great job and the food was great! ευχαριστώ!

Ei hotelli, vaan motelli

Pitkään odotettu matka karvas pettymys. Mitsis hotelli luokittelee itsensä kesästä 2017 alkaen viiden tähden hotelliksi. Tämä ei pidä paikkansa. Hotellin luokitus on 2-3. Loma alkoi lasinsirulla jalassa, jonka sain hotellihuoneen lattialta. Loma loppui viimeisenä päivänä suuurehkoon lasinsiruun, joka löytyi hotellin ruoasta ja ehti päätyä jo suuhuni. Hotellin ruoka oli suuri pettymys. Kaikki oli kummallisen makuista ja ruoka suorastaan ala-arvoista. Kahvi ei ollut kahvia, vaan jotain teen ja laihan kahvin sekoitusta. Ruoka oli tehty niin halvalla, kuin pystyy. Kaikki kreikkalaisen keittiön ihanat raaka-aineet loistivat poissaolollaan, mutta tarjolla oli päivittäin mm maksaa eri muodoissaan ja joskus porsaanlihaa. Kun kalaa oli tarjolla oli se pientä sirppiä, jota mm italialaisessa keittiössä ei tarjoilla ollenkaan. Ruoka muistutti jotakin työmaaruokalaa. Lisäksi juomat piti aina pyytää erikseen, mitään juoma-automaatteja ei ollut. Juomat tuli AINA vasta kun ruoka oli syöty, Sama toistui aamiaisella. NS kahvi tuli, kun oltiin jo lähdössä. Lisäksi koko hotellin ns. kahvit espressot ja cappucinot olivat niin hirveitä, että piti aamukahvi lähteä aina juomaan hotellin ulkopuolellle. Hotellin ranta oli yleinen ranta. Aurinkotuolit ja varjot maksoivat kukin 5 euroa kpl. eli kaksi aurinkotuolia a varjo 15 euroa. Ranta oli likainen, nuhjuinen ja hoitamaton. Roskia, muovilaseja ja pulloja joka paikassa. Tämä oli suuuri pettymys. Suuri osa hotellin omista rantatuoleista allasalueella olivat todella vanhoja ja ruosteisia. Rantapyyhkeet ja kaikki hotelliissa käytetyt tekstiilit pyyhkeistä peittoihin olivat aivan naurettavia. Kaikki rispaantunuutta ja kulunutta. Valitsimme matkan osittain kansainvälisen lastenkerhon vuoksi. Käytännössä tämän kerhon kieli oli venäjä. Kaikille puhuttiin vain venäjää ja oman seurueen pikkuväki sosialisuudestaan ja englannin kielen osaamisesta huolimatta eivät halunnneet viettää aikaa lastenklubissa. Mitsis falirakissa näin myös jotain huolestuttavaa, mitä en koskaan matkoillani ole nähnyt. Lastenaltaasta tultiin ottamaan vesinäyte ja heti perään putkistoihin heitettiin ÄMPÄRILLINEN klooria. Siis kloori heitettiin samaan aikaan, kun allas oli täynnä lapsia, keskellä päivää. Yleisesti maaiilmalla altaiden klooraus suoritetaan illalla/yöllä ja silloin altaissa on uimakielto. Oman seurueeni (6 henkilöä) kahdella lapsella alkoi niin kova kummallinen allergia koko kropassa, että siiirryttiin uimaan vaan Rhodoksen muille rannoille mereen. Kas kummaa, allergia molemmilla alkoi hävitä. Yksi huone matkan aikana jouduttiin vaihtamaan, koska kolmanteen kerrokseen kantautunut meteli ja musiikki illalla oli korviahuumaava. Tietenkään sellaisessa metelissä lapset eivät pysty nukkumaan. Toisessa huoneessa ilmastoinnista lähti kuvottava haju, jota useaan kertaan yritettiin häätää, tuloksetta. Reissu oli surullinen näytös rahastuksesta ja suorastaan huijauksesta. Hotellin henkilökunta oli jotenkin väsyneen ja luovuttaneen oloisia. Kaikkialla ja kaikessa näkyi välinpitämättömyys ja ilottomuus. Reissu oli koko seurueellemme todella suuri pettymys. Kreikan saaria on reissattu koko elämä ja matkustuskokemuksia riittää. Ainoa kiva asia reissussa oli pienen automatkan päässä Anthony Quinn ranta , jossa upea vesi ja muita pohjoismaalaisia ja italialaisia turisteja. Hotellin vieraat kun olivat kaikki venäläisiä, puolalaisia , bulgarialaisia ym.

Would recommend

After a bit of a bad start we were very warmly welcomed by the hotel liaison rep called Stergos who made our whole holiday amazing. It was our first time in Greece and he went out of his way to make us feel as welcome as possible so we all thoroughly enjoyed the Mitsis experience. A very nice and clean hotel, extremely warm and friendly staff though I must add the food in the main restaurant was pretty average and men must wear trousers at evening dining. I will be returning here mostly due to the friendly staff and fantastic evening entertainment!!!

Excellent location and clean.

We, 2 couples and a 11 year girl, visited Mitsis Faliraki Beach 10 days in July 2019. And here is my review of this 5-star hotel. We arrived at around 4:30 AM, yes it is crazy flighttimes from Oslo when traveling with Sunweb. (The returnflight was 5:30 from Rhodes so even worse). But we was welcomed nicely in the reception, and the portier helped us with our suitcases to the room. We was even offered som food, but we choosed to go straight to bed. The room. The room was very nice and clean. The beds was comfortable, but maybe a litte hard for my liking. The view from the balcony was also stunning. We had a superior room with sea-view at the top floor. However it was very warm in the room when we arrived, and it took the AC several ours to cool the room down. But when the temperature was down to a comfortable level, the AC kept it there for the rest of our stay. Little more about the room. Good storage with cabinets and drawers. The bathroom was roomy, and clean. A minibar that was filled up with water, sodawater like Pepsi, Fanta and some beer and wine everyday. But my wife is diabetic, and even if we asked it was not possible to get sugarfree sodawater like Pepsi Max (until the last day, after we had spoken to the Guest Realtion Manager. We had to buy that our self in the minimarket. The very nice and polite cleaners did a fantastic job to keep the room spotless everyday and they provided us with clean beach-towels every afternoon. Beach The hotel is located close to the wonderful beach, and has a lot of sunbeds reserved for the guests. The hotel provided the sunlickers at the beach with beer and water regularly so we did not have to go to the beach bar ourselves! But the beach bar was located close to the beach if you like something else to drink or eat. The only negative was that most of the sunbeds was old and not so comfortable. Time for a renewal. Poolarea It is a big poolarea with 3 separate pools. One with waterslides, one little bigger with activites like waterpolo, watergym, and one more quiet pool if you just want to cool down or swim without beeing worried of beeing hit by a ball or something. The area is big, with green areas, threes for shadow, and many sunbeds and parasols. And tidy and clean all the time. Even the restrooms are nice and clean. The sunbeds was the same type as on the beach, and many of them need to be renewed. The main problem here is that you have to be up early to get a sunbed, especially if you want to have shome shelter from the sun. A lot of guest was up early an put a towel on sunbeds, and let them be empty for hours. This is against the hotels sunbed-policy, but nobody seemed to follow up that. The bars The hotel has 3 bars, one Beach Bar, one Pool Bar and one bar inside (the main bar). The outside bars was open from 9 to 24 and served drinks and food. There is a seperate ice-bar, and a creperia where you could get pancakes, sanwiches and much more. Very good indeed, but it was allways a long queue for food in the creperia, sometimes you had to wait 20-30 minutes.... And when you finaly got your sandwich, it was cold. The pancakes was however excelent. The drinks in the bars was good, but the staff was sloooow at times. You could however order drinks from the tables around the main bar and the pool bar. But expect some delivertime. The beach-bar also had sandwiches and some other snacks and it was much faster to get what you want there. At lunch-time there was even a gyros-station and the first saturday there was a barbeque close to the beach-bar. The staff in the bar was mostly friendly and nice, but some just ignored you for a long time before you got served. Even if I was the only guest at the bar. They was busy making drinks for the tables or just busy talking to eachother. A little smile and a "please wait a second and I will help you" would have been nice. But I really think more bar staff is needed in the most busy season. On suggestion from me is to add some self-service for water. Either some refigurators with bottles or a tap where it is possible to fill up drinking water. This will help on the queues in the bars I think. The restaurants The hotel has one large main buffet-restaurant, and in addition Italian, Greek, Asian, Mexican and an Sushi-restaurants. All a part of the All-Inclusive consept. We tried main, Asian, Mexican and italian. Main Restaurant is serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and even some food during the night. I have to say that the breakfast was very good, but lunch and dinner not so much. Lunch was the same every day, and i found the hot food mushy, messy, overcooked and I got tired of the food after 2 days. The sallads and deserts was however very tidy, goodlooking and tasteful. Same can be said about the dinner. Some days they had good meat and chicken, but if you prefer fish find somewhere else to eat. For lunch and dinner you have to order the drinks at the table, the problem was that it took to long time before somebody came to your table to take the order, and even longer before you actually got the drinks. Often the drinks came to the table when some of us had finished the meal. I have to say something about the very strict dresscode in the main restaurant. For dinner men have to wear long trousers and shirts with sleeves. No shorts allowed. When the temperature is 30 degrees I did not feel comfortable and the first thing I (and most other men) did after dinner was to rush up to the room to change. I can understand that we have to be decently dressed, but a nice shorts and a shirt looks better than jogging-pants and shabby t-shirts that many men used for dinner. The ladies could wear short dresses and was much more comfortable. I can understand that wet shorts and bikini's ar not ok, but the last day my wife hade to change her dress for lunch because it was possible to se her bikini? She had used the same dress other days with no problem, but it seemed like the management had told the staff in the restaurant to be strickter.... The theme restaurants are however ala-carte, and you order starters, mains and desserts from a varied menu. The asian restaurant was not to our likings and please avoid the Peking Duck and fried Icecream. But the Mexican and Italian was much, much better. The pizza at the Itialian was the best food we had at the hotel. One thing we really missed at all the restaurants was coffee. Only meal that offered that was breakfast. Of course you could get a varied and good selection of coffe from the bars, but not with your dessert. Cakes and sweet dessert is not the same without coffee. Why is this so difficult? We asked for coffee almost every day but not possible. But you could get tea!!! Very strange for us scandinavians. An easy solution would be to place som bags with instant-coffee together with the tea bags. The entertainment The entertainment on the evenings is the best I have ever experienced on any hotel we have been to, and that is quite av few. Different groups every night with very good singers, acrobats and dancers. Bravo. The entertainment-team did a good job at daytime as well. Thumbs up for that. This is a long review, but I have to mention one more thing. My wife made a review with some photos but no text on google while we was still at the hotel. She gave four stars wich is decent I think. The same day we found an envelope on our room where she was asked to contact the guest relation manager.... That is actually a good thing if they just wanted to know if everything was OK, and if they could improve something. She was contacted three times the last days of our stay. I think she felt a little uncomfortable about that and felt that they wanted her to improve the review. Anyway, we had a nice chat with Stergos from the Guest Relation Management and told him what we liked and what we found not so good, and had some ideas about what to improve. The first change was diet-coke in the minibar!! Hopefully the management would consider some of the improvements I suggested :-) All in all the hotel is a great hotel with many good qualities, but also some room for improvements. My expectations was very high based on other reviews and the fact that this is a five-star hotel, but I have to say that at least the food has to improve a lot to justify 5 stars from me. I considered 3 stars because of the food and slow bars, but the hotel have many good qualities so 4 stars it is. But anyway, we had a great stay, and we might even consider to come back in the future.

Not a 5 star - unfortunately

Where to begin, we really wanted to like this hotel but at the end I must say we had an OK vacation, not even close to a 5 star experience. Let's start with the good stuff. The hotel area is very nice, big nice garden, the beach is few steps away. It is also very close to the town making it easy to walk around. The room was nice and clean, at first we were given a room on the ground floor facing what I believe is the backyard and the entrance for deliveries etc. to the hotel - needless to say there was no view and the noice from the workers woke us up at 6am. We asked for a room change and were moved to the 3rd floor with a nice view over the mountains and much more peace and quiet. Now for the not so good part: the food was average at the best. Few exceptions were the brunch served at the Mexican and the Greek a la carte - these were both delicious. Other than these, the food at the buffet and the rest of the a la carte restaurants was not at the level of a 5 star hotel. Nor was the service, the staff seems to be stretched, extremely busy and everything is very unstructured. The staff was not the friendly, caring staff we are so used to in our Greek holidays - they were sometimes even rude, rarely smiling and almost made us feel like a burden. No one EVER asked if we needed another drink during dinners, they came to ask for our order without looking at us and properly greeting, it just seemed like they were pushed to the extreme and there was no energy left. The drinks are not any better that the food, they were apparently ready mixes (e.g. pina colada) so a non-alcoholic version was not possible. Even with this we were determined to try to like the hotel and give them the benefit of the doubt. Then one morning there was a fire alarm and as everyone who knows how seriously these need to be taken we also left our room with others from our floor and headed out to the emergency exit - just to notice that we got stuck in between the 2nd and 1st floor as the gate in the fire escape was closed. There we were, around 15 persons, standing in the stairs when the staff in stead of coming to help kept on staring at us and obviously thinking we were extremely stupid to have left the building. At that time the alarm was still on and we were not sure if it was for real or not. The maintenance and some cleaners kept on pointing at us, no one said anything and they seemed to be discussing over who would go the reception to let them know we were stuck. NO ONE bothered to say "hey, the alarm is not real" or "wait, we will come to open the door". After a while we were able to get in when another guest was opening the emergency exit door on the second floor. The alarm kept on going and no one really clearly stated there was no fire. Another big minus was when a baby had pooped into the kids pool. No fault of the hotel obviously but again, no proper information, the maintenance just came and started closing the pool by pulling a red tape around. No one told the people in the pool to get out. The no reservation policy of the sun beds is not supervised by anyone and ppl kept on reserving a sunbed for the entire day, not even using them! The policy for long trousers for men in the buffet but not in the a la carte restaurants is odd, I would think a la carte is where you should dress up. The buffet really did not deserve a nice clothing, it was so unorganised, loud and hectic. We have visited many hotels in different locations in Greece including Gregotel and Ikos chains, this is definitely the worse hotel we have visited in Greece, unfortunately. It just lacks the Greek magic we have experienced in our earlier holidays.
