Huone oli selkeästi vanhempi kuin aiemmin hotellissa vierailtaessa. Huonesiivous voisi olla huolellisempi.

Lähtäpäivän suihkumahdollisuus check outin jälkeen erillisessä huoneessa loistopalvelu. Animation teamin aktiviteetit aivan loistavia.

Jääpalakoneita ei ole, pitää aina hakea jäitä baarista. Juomista ylihintaa ruokailuissa sekä baarissa yleiseen hintatasoon nähden.

Sijainti on hyvä ja asiakaspalvelu toimii. Bussikuljetus oli hyvä ratkaisu.

Ruoka oli hyvää. Ruokajuoma aiheutti illallisella lähes aina palvelutason laskemisen, kun ei tilannut sipulikeittoa ja chardonnayta, vaan pullovettä. Lapsiperhe ei halua välttämättä juoda viiniä joka päivä.

Palasimme tänne uudestaan

All inclusive paikkoja tuli käytyä runsaasti lasten ollessa pieniä; tänne palasimme kuopuksen toivomuksesta viisi vuotta ensimmäisen käynnin jälkeen. Edelleen upea palvelu! Ala carte ravintolassa pöytiintarjoilu ja upeat annokset. Oma allas rantabungalowissa on todella miellyttävä.

Tasokas hotelli

Kävimme täällä viikkoa ennen juhannusta ja kokemus oli erittäin hyvä. Hotellialue on kuin pieni kylä, mutta kaikki toimii todella hyvin. Meillä oli puolihoito joka maksoi vain 86€ viikko, kahdelta aikuiselta ja kahdelta lapselta. Täysihoito olisi maksanut 940€. Tosin juomat olivat aika kalliita, kun niistä maksoi erikseen. Alle 12 vuotiaille lapsille oli ilmaista pizzaa ja muuta pientä purtavaa kl 12.30-13.30. Illalliselle ja iltaohjelmaan piti miesten pukeutua pitkiin housuihin, tästä pidettiin myös kiinni. Ruoka oli tosi hyvää, kunnon viiniä ruoan kanssa oli vaikeampaa löytää. Jos osti koko pullon, niin juomista voi jatkaa seuraavana iltana. Uima-altaita oli useampia ja niissä oli myös uimavalvojat kl 10-18. Rannan aurinkotuolit kuuluivat hotellille, mikä ei ole aina itsestään selvyys. Voin suositella hotellia, teistä pidetään siellä hyvää huolta. Siisteydestä ei myöskään tingitä tässä hotellista. Huoneet olivat myös toimivat, ilmastointi toimi erittäin hyvin. Yleensä se pitää melua, mutta täällä se oli lähes äänetön. Hieno hotelli, toivotaan että voimme palata tänne jonain päivänä.

Ants Everywhere in the room - Not so clean

We bought a stay in Aquila Rethimno Porto hotel. We get there and we been told that due to hotel mistake, they do not have rooms. So Porto Hotel didn't leave us a chance and moved us to Rethimno Beach hotel to premium room for one night. My son like the hotel very much and we asked to stay in that hotel. Due to hotel courtesy we stayed in this hotel. On the first night we paid attention that our room is full of ants. They were everywhere, even in our beds. Those were ants that bite. I contacted reception and we been told that we have two options: a) Our room will be cleaned and chemicals will be sprayed to repel ants from there; b) Stay in the same room, since there are no other rooms available. I do not want my son to sleep in the room where chemicals been used against ants, so we asked just to clean it, without any chemicals. During all our stay ants were everywhere. Receptionist asked us about ants again day after and suggested us another room - for our big surprise another room also had ants in it. This is not what i expect from a three stars hotel, and for sure not from a luxury five stars hotel. We suffered from ants during whole our stay and this problem wasn't solved till the last minute.

Not quite as advertised.

I stayed here for my family's first 'family resort' holiday. I stayed with my wife and two children, aged 6 and 4. We booked through TUI. We stayed in a 'family room' on an all-inclusive ('AI') basis. This hotel has a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, it is not of a 5-star standard. Positives first: 1. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 2. The TUI children's club was great, as was the hotel's own children's club, with plenty of entertainment for the children during the day and in the evening. 3. There was always a large selection of food and drink throughout the day. I'd recommend going 'AI', as the drinks are not cheap, as you'd expect. (I added up what we drank over two days and it worked out cheaper being 'AI' without taking into account food, especially all of the ice-cream eaten by the kids.) 4. The AI package included two nights a week at the 'themed' evenings with live music - we went to the BBQ, the Asian and the Greek nights. 5. The hotel is directly on the beach but also has plenty of space at the swimming pools. 6. There are lifeguards on the beach and at the swimming pools. 7. The hotel is quiet at night. 8. There are shops inside and opposite the hotel for things such as sun cream, sun hats, gifts, etc. 9. There is a doctor's practice and a chemist within 100m of the hotel. (It cost €60.00 for a simple consultation with the doctor, so think about travel insurance before you go.) 10. The hotel room was spacious, with a separate room for the children. If you were to read the above alone, you would think that this is a fantastic hotel in a great location. To a certain extent, it is and there were many people who we spoke to who did not have a single complaint. There is, however, a negative list: 1. We were very unhappy with the state of the room. It appears that the hotel has undergone some refurbishment, but our room clearly missed out on that. Upon arrival, we found clumps of dust and hair in the room, stains on the sofa and broken corners on the glass table. There was damage to the wall paper, paint spots on the floor and woodwork and the bathroom door's frame didn't appear to have been finished properly. The room was cleaned upon complaint, the sofa cushion was changed and the glass table replaced. A good reaction, yes, but the new sofa cushion came from another room and had a big strain on it and the back and sides of the sofa were still stained. Along with the dust and the broken table, this simply shouldn't happen in a 5-star hotel. 2. After a day at the beach, we discovered that the shower, which was attached to the taps in the bath, didn't have an adjustable head. As such, we had to hold the shower head whilst showering instead of standing under the shower head and using our hands to clean. Not that standing under the shower head would have been possible for me, as, at 193cm tall, my head was almost touching the ceiling. We asked for an adjustable shower head to be put in place and we were told that it would happen, but it didn't happen. 3. Another discovery after the first day was the hair dryer. It was a contraption out of the 60s. A plastic handle on the end of a tube attached to a machine on the wall. It became so hot on use that only I, with my asbestos hands, could use it - I was given hair-drying duty! It's not that I have a problem with helping my girls get ready, but it should not have been the case that the hair dryer became so hot that it actually burnt my wife's hand on first use (although not seriously burnt, as she dropped the handle immediately). When we raised these issues with the management, the response was, "Other people are happy", as if we were the problem. We were then shown four alternative rooms, two of which were exactly the same as ours (including the hair dryer and shower head), one was slightly better but smaller and came at a surcharge of €70.00 per night and one that was something much worse in what appeared to be a ghetto on the far side of the hotel. On the third day, we were offered, but TUI, a different hotel without a long sandy beach and which had twice the number of guests - add that to the fact that we'd have to pack and unpack again and introduce the children to the new children's club, we declined. We had paid almost €6,000 for 12 nights at this hotel - why should we have to move to get the standard already paid for? In short, a good hotel on a great beach, but be prepared for disappointment with the room if you book a family room. In case you are wondering about any subsequent response by TUI, there hasn't been one - my correspondence has been completely ignored. Hopefully this review will result in a response.

Fantastic

I have just come back from this hotel after a 7 day break and had a wonderful time with my family. There is a lot of negative feedback on hear but what we experienced was far from that. We stayed in a bungalow with a sea view which was out of this world. I could look a that view every day of my life without an issue. If you can get a choice of bungalow and have the bottom floor you can walk straight out onto the grass straight to the beach which is a stones throw away. Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels put out.Food was always available throughout the day and always had plenty of options even for my fussy daughter. Our bungalow was not far from the main pool and as for reserving sun beds some did and some didn’t. But what I did see if you did ,some people who put towels down and did not return for a while the staff politely folded there stuff and a note was placed on top explaining that bed can’t be reserved, so other guests could use them. The waiters around the pool work tirelessly hard in the heat and deserve a tip. Overall a beautiful hotel kept clean and tidy. One small negative feedback was one night we waited over an hour for our drinks to be served but hey ho it’s not all about drinking.😀
