Ihana hotelli ihanilla huoneilla!! Paljon tekemistä lapsille. Ruoka oli mahtavaa ja valikoima oli suuri. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Viihdettä aikuisille olisi voinut olla enemmän illalla, sillä baari meni kiinni klo. 23 ja se siitä. Tulisimme varmasti tänne uudelleen!!
What a wonderful holiday
We travelled from the UK to Nana Beach with tui The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The complex is spread out with lots of different areas and pools. It has its own sandy beach and gorgeous terraced stone work areas with access to the sea for swimming and snorkeling. The hotel is an abundance of beautiful flowers shrubs and tropical trees. It really is stunning to walk around. Our room was very clean and the aircon did the trick. The rooms don't come with tea and coffee facilities but it was no trouble asking reception and we were promptly delivered a kettle. All the staff were very nice and worked very hard to make it a great experience. The food and drink was good. Plenty of choice and we were able to eat in the different restaurants once each during our stay. I'm only criticism is that you have to be quick to get your reservations in as even booking at 1230 on the first day we're didn't manage to get into the Greek. It wasn't a problem and in fact we enjoyed a trip out to old hersonissos for a Greek meal and some music. The kids club is great and the team are very friendly. Our daughter enjoyed the mini disco alot. It was easy to get a bus or a taxi into the towms and most trips offer transfers as part of the package. We had a wonderful week and didn't want to come home. If we come back to crete I would definitely stay at nana beach again. A big thank you to all the staff who all work very hard and are so polite and friendly. A credit to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel and wonderful staff
It was my first vacation in an all-inclusive hotel - so i was a little bit sceptical about the standard before going there. And I was wrong. The Nana beach estate is absolutely beautiful. What really makes this place special however, are its people. The entire staff, and i mean the entire, is always super friendly and always giving you a smile. This is not standard. The hotel offers you to make reservations in distinguished restaurants. We used this opportunity to have seafood at the Poseidon restaurant. Again, I was sceptical to get good fish at an all-inclusive restaurant, but what made me optimistic, was that the overall food at the other restaurants at Nana beach was great. At the restaurant Poseidon, our waiter Panos quickly managed everything and suggested fantastic menues. It was a fantastic dinner I had with my girlfriend! The kitchen is doing a great job and the muscles are extraoridany! I can only recommend you to take dinner there as well. It was not only because of the the great area, the nice rooms or the nice pools, why we enjoyed this vacation very much and why we will definitely come again, but it is foremost because of the people at Nana beach like Panos and his colleague from Poseidon! ευχαριστώ!
Brilliant family holiday
We have just returned from two weeks here with our three year old twins. We booked through First Choice and stayed in a garden view twin room next to the little church. The room was nothing fancy but exactly like the picture on the First Choice website so we knew what to expect. It had a king size bed, and also regular single bed and then a small single bed made up for my two children (I guess when the second single isn't needed for two-children families, this small bed would be a seat/sofa area). There was plenty of space for the four of us during a two week stay. We also had a decent sized balcony with a table and two chairs. The location of this hotel complex and the gardens are absolutely stunning. Both the garden view rooms and sea view rooms have amazing outlooks. There is clearly a lot of time spent nurturing the gardens, they are very special. There are plenty of pools and also the beach to choose from so plenty of variety during the days. Our toddlers loved the splash pool but the water was very cold in this pool which meant that on the days when the weather wasn't very hot, because of the water temperature, they preferred the shallow kids pools in the other main pool areas. During the first week of our stay the hotel was quieter so getting a sunbed wasn't a problem any where at any time really. However during our second week the hotel was very busy (almost unpleasantly so at times) and if you didn't arrive at the sunbeds first thing in the morning, you struggled to get a couple of beds together with a parasol at the more popular pools. The food was slightly disappointing for me. I would just describe it as fine really. I have had much better at all inclusive hotels but I have also had worse. We tried all of the four a la carte restaurants. The Asian one wasn't very good at all. The other three (Greek, Italian and fish) were nice though and the standard of food at these was much better than the buffet. The drinks were good, lots of cocktails to chose from and some of the bar staff were very good at making them. The wine was just ok. My husband and I pretty much lived on Aperol Spritz for two weeks, which was fine by us! The majority of the staff were exceptional, they worked so hard and were very friendly. A special mention to the lady who runs the beach bar, she was always rushed off her feet but always had a smile on her face and her iced coffees were to die for! You can't get them the way she makes them anywhere else in the hotel! The sheltered kids play area was great for my three year olds and one morning we left them in the kids club where they made cookies which they loved doing! They also loved the mini disco in the evenings. The entertainment was good on the whole. I do agree with another recent review I have read through that the Variety Show night was extremely unsuitable for children. My husband visited the sister Nana Princess hotel next door for a spa treatment and he said it was out of this world. I had a massage and facial at the spa at Nana Beach and it was very nice, no where near as special as the hotel next door by the sounds of it though. A big criticism for me is that there was a (pretty hefty) charge for the safe in the bedroom. This should be free at a 5 star hotel and it is just pure penny pinching that they ask for guests to pay extra for this. Overall we had a fabulous holiday, with very few criticisms, and we would certainly think about returning very soon.
Doesn't feel like 5* hotel...
We just finished our 2 weeks all inclusive holiday in this hotel. Staff on reception is nice. Check in was quick. Room-disaster... I dont know how much you need to pay for a better room, but ours was really poor... small, old, not really clean, dirty toilet. The room had very basics, got toiletries, which were never replaced. We paid 2600£ for 2, and it is our first time in the 5* star hotel, and it was our first time in such a bad room, even 3* hotels were better. Why they got 5* I wouldn't understand. They doesn't have any iron in the hotel as they explained because of safety reasons, but room service was cleaning the floor so great that it needed to dry for several hours, so much water was on it, you can slip and hurt yourself. When we arrive the fridge wasnt working, but was repaired same day, unfortunately after couple days stopped working again. Air conditioning was leaking, we were asking for 3 days to get it sorted. Hotel is huge so you will find what to do. But the water in most pools is very salty:( Food was tasty, but choise of food is very avarage. We got very nice food and service in La Carte restaurants. Our holidays were great because of beautiful weather and entertainment we did for ourselves with some excursions. All the staff were very friendly and great, as well as animation team. But a disappointment of this room in this "5* hotel" ruined our imagination of real 5stars. To do our experience even "better" on our check out I asked for 2 small bottles of water which they are giving when cleaning rooms, and was told to GO TO SHE SHOP!!! "Amazing" service - thanks Sergio. Overall we enjoyed our time in crete, it is really beautiful island. But would not recommend this hotel, unless someone will get a nice room in new buildings they have.
