Sporttiloma

Liikenne on maltillista. Alue on rauhallinen.

We had a nice time

There are mixed reviews on this hotel, and I can see why.... I will be as honest as I can of the time we had there. We were a family of 4 adults and two children, aged 4 and 18 months. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and stayed 4-11 October. It is a nice big complex and happy faces welcomed us to reception on arrival. Rooms We were allocated two rooms near each other, 7B which was a 2 bed apartment and 13B which was a one bed. Myself and my partner were in the one bed, the family of 4 in the two bed. Ours was much nicer and brighter. It had a kitchenette (as I believe they all do) which is a real bonus for making drinks and a full size fridge.Theirs was very dark and old fashioned inside. They did, however, have a fridge freezer and washing machine, so that was a good point. I do find it strange tho that there is no air con. It was extremely hot in the rooms as it was 28+ degrees most days and the first fan we had in our room was worse than useless. We were able to change this the next day. It was a little better but it really isn't enough to cool down a 4 room (5 in the case of the family room) apartment in hot weather. What it is like in the summer, I could not imagine. Food This was varied. Most of us found something we liked at each meal, but we did have 2 fussy eaters in our party that weren't so successful. It wasn't over hot, but there is a microwave if needed. I liked the fact there is an outside seating area where we usually sat. The BBQ evening wasn't great that you can book so we gave the Asian night a miss. It was a shame as that restaurant is nearer the pool and a nicer setting. We ate in the town a couple of times, which is something we like to do anyway as it is a shame not too in such a lovely place. Entertainment The eldest child loved the kids club and both loved the mini disco. It was great that it started at 8pm and not 9.30pm like a lot of resorts we have been too. The mini disco follows face painting or balloon modelling which starts at 7.30pm. Therefore, if you have a gap with kids after dinner, its great there is something to do with them. It usually followed with bingo and a quiz. I liked the quiz and it was busy in the bar. Drinks were good although sometimes it was one person serving, and he has to serve inside and out (different sides of the bar) in the evenings, so there was sometimes a wait. During the day the entertainment team were out and about doing archery by the pool and water aerobics, so you could always join in if you wished. Pool bar Drinks are served here during the day until 6pm. You help yourself to soft drinks, beer, wine and hot drinks and the rest is served by the bar staff. Tubs of ice cream are only served during certain times and I was disappointed, it not disgruntled, that lollies had to be paid for. There is a huge sign with all the pictures of the lollies available which, of course, caught the eye of two little girls! We did pay for some during the week, but other all inclusive hotels we have been to did not charge extra. I think its greedy and not on if you are all inclusive. Just my opinion. We went all inclusive because of the children as they want lollies and need to drink all day when it is hot. Pools The large pool is clean but is salt water and the kids did suffer a little with stingy eyes. We already knew the paddling pool was going to be closed but it was a shame as it would have suited the little one perfectly. The larger pool is a lagoon style, but soon gets a little deep. Whilst the addition of a pirate ship will be a great one, I think some of the slabs around the pool could be fixed first as it does look a little uncared for in places. Water park I will do a separate review of Acua Waterpark, but we had inclusive tickets with Jet2 and had a fabulous couple of days. We ate down there to save walking back for lunch with the girls in the heat. It felt more relaxed that way and the park was so quiet. The hotel is a fair walk out of town, especially on the way back. We did get a taxi a few times, just because it was hot and it cost around 3 euros. I would also mention that you can check in your cases at resort with Jet2 and I would highly recommend this. It makes the airport process so much easier, especially as we had a pushchair and hand luggage etc All in all we had a great time, the weather was fantasic and I would recommend it if you took all my comments into consideration.
