Toki omassa rauhassaan.
We stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Big clean rooms, excellent and lots of choices breakfast. And friendly staff. And front office manager Ms Dendi knows what hospitality is. Very happy and cfotable stay. Really value for money. Thank you.
Beautiful hotel. A few disappointments though....
Beautiful hotel and grounds. I loved the pool but rarely found a pool-side chair available during the day. Staff was very nice. WiFi was not good. Food very enjoyable. I was disappointed with the beach that the local hotels have. I was hoping for "white sands and clear blue water". However, the sand is gritty and full of old coral and stones. The water was clear but you could not really swim much as there are beds of seaweed with sea urchins 20 feet to 40 feet out and no waves. (There were waves out farther past the reef.) It was the same for all the hotels so NOT their fault....just the way it is at this part of the island. Overall, I liked the hotel and was content realizing that to meet all my hope and expectations, I'd have to pay a lot more somewhere else.....
Not the right choice
I suppose I need to preface my comments, by saying choosing this hotel was my mistake. I did not look deeply enough into it, and this place is HUGE, the walk from reception to the last room at end of the corridor is so far away. We booked a ground floor pool access room, and got the last room down the very end, as I mentioned a huge walk, but, the room being at the bottom of the pool area, was nice, or, so I thought. It did not look like the photos that I remembered, and at the end of the day, when I went to shut the curtains, I realized they were venetian blinds, that were broken and pieces missing and would not close properly either. I quickly looked up Hotels.com booking page, and it said blockout curtains and also pictured proper curtains, so I went to reception to express my concern as I am a light sleeper and am only used to blackout drapes, even the photo at the reception counter had a picture with drapes. To the credit of the hotel, they changed our room, even though we had checked in hours earlier. And this time we only had to walk half way down the corridor, (bonus). The next day we had a problem with the key opening the door, and they tried to say it was us, then the following day again, after paying for a late evening checkout on arrival, our key would not work again, and once again we had to walk up to reception. My other gripe is the private beach we can use, as my husband and I are early risers and also like walking along the beach, we walked to The Sands Beach Club, a half hour walk, rather than taking the free shuttle. We got there at 9am, beach chairs are always on the beach, but, the mattresses and towels that are provided don't arrive till 10am in fact, on day 2 they were late (10:10) and the towels didn't come till 10:30am. I really believe they could review those times, people we on the beach at 9am right along. For me this hotel was way too big, even the main dining/ breakfast room was buzzing with soooooo many people all the time, breakfast although plentiful, is like a battle ground depending on the time you get there and how many others are already eating. We did not use the pool at all, total waste paying extra for a pool access room, and also for such a big hotel, not that many lounge chairs by the pool.
Beautiful hotel! Rooms are attractive and comfortable. Staff is helpful. But.... • WiFi is horrible. They want you to pay for premium WiFi. • All rooms are “non-smoking,” but the AC system is shared with other rooms and cigarette smoke (and viruses?!) regularly filled my room. Hotel staff came in to “spray” my room — like that will help! • I left a new Brita water bottle on my table at the 1st floor restaurant and it was “never found.” Right......
