Not for us

We booked here as we was meeting friends the 2nd week of our stay and they chose this hotel. Looking at the pictures we were not so concerned about staying here as we normally stay at 4* + hotels however : -There isn't enough sunbeds for the hotel guests and its stated they are a first come first serve basis - getting up at 6 am just to sit in the sun is ridiculous. -Rooms are not exactly on the spacious side, literally having half a wardrobe for 2 people for 2 weeks and a set of draws - Always bits of sand, hair etc on the floors even after room clean -Tv was hit and miss if it worked -You have to pay €3 a day each for use of the fridge and safe - never have we had to do this. However: - The bed was really comfy -The wrap around food places were good -Reception staff were very friendly and helpful - Hotel is positioned in a great spot close to bars/restaurants - literally a few minute walk to the beach ( where we paid €5 daily for sunbed and brolly rather than getting up to try and get sunloungers in the small area of hotel that has sun all day.) I don't think we would stay here again but there is definitely worse places to stay it just wasn't for us.

Lemon Grass 2023!?!

Hi Anyone booked earlier in the year to go next year to this hotel only the dine around options for the restaurants have now changed! We have been using this hotel for a few years and have loved these two restaurants and at the time of booking they were still on the list. We are now waiting for TUI to get back to us!

Nice rooms

Booked this hotel as a package holiday half board with Tui. I was attracted by the 5 star reviews. It didn’t really meet up to expectations. The hot food in the hotel both at breakfast and the 3 times we are in the hotel in the evening. I did complain several times about this, including the manager at the welcome meeting. I came to the conclusion that this wasn’t the staffs fault the hotel must have inadequate equipment to keep the food hot. Otherwise the food would have been lovely if the food could have been kept hot! However the dine around option was very good, you could dine at EACH of the first restaurants in a week being half board. The food and was good in all restaurants. I loved the seafood linguine in the Italian. I was also attracted to booking this hotel as they have yoga. Unfortunately the 10 days I was there the instructor was off sick, which can’t be helped but they should have maybe found someone to step in. The rooms were clean and airy. The cleaners did a very good job and kept the rooms clean and changed towels every day. You have to pay for the safe and the fridge. I have never had to pay for a fridge before in a hotel! We prefer going to the beach than the pool, and found the best beaches to be away from fig tree bay as it was very crowded even in October. If you walk half an hour in either direction along the promenade lovely quiet beaches can be found. I had a massage in the little hut off the beach, good value for money.

Great location - fantastic staff!

Stayed here last week with my 13 year old for 6 nights and had a lovely time. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Hotel was ideally located for all local attractions, trips, restaurants and beach and the local bus service was really reliable and cheap! The hotel itself was clean and our room was well appointed and comfortable (although my son, on the sofa bed was not so comfortable!) with a decent amount of storage (there is a TV - but it does not have any English channels at all - not even an English news channel, which was a shame as when my son went to bed I would have liked to have been able to watch something in the room - but, not a major issue!). Breakfast buffet was good (although fairly limited and exactly the same every day) and pool area perfect, with plenty of sunbeds (although some people did insist on saving them with towels and then not appearing until much later!!). Good value for money and would definitely stay here again.

Great Food, Great Staff, Great Stay

We visited Sunrise Gardens in September this year, this was the third time we had visited the hotel and although there were a couple of hiccups on arrival these were quickly ressolved by Reception and the Hotel Manager. All members of my party agreed we had a fantastic 10 days at this lovely hotel. The Sunrise Gardens Hotel only has 3 stars but felt more like 4 thanks to the amazing people who work there, the great service provided and the delicious food. We had Bed and Breakfast for our stay but ate a few nights at the hotel as the food was so good. Lots of variety and buffet style too so you can serve up as much as you like. The pool was lovely, lots of space and plenty of sun loungers although some could have done with an upgrade as they were looking rather tatty. It was fantstic to see Petrulla still working at the pool bar after all these years, such a caring person who gets to know all the guests and a fond memory of our previous stays. All the staff were amazing, welcoming, helpful and no request was too much. Alongside Petrula, we would also like to thank Tanya in the Kamkuat Bar and Tanya who ran the kids club / hotel activities for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have a fantastic stay. We will be returning next year and look forward to another relaxing holiday.
