I can not imagine better hotel for this destination

This humble 3* hotel is a real gem. First of all - the best possible service. All our requests were responded instantly and with smile. Rooms are big and clean, breakfasts plentiful, lunches tasty and not expensive, and, what is most important, closest to the famous beach.

Bol

The Island of Bol it is one of the most beautiful islands around Split. We visited the Golden Horn beach which had many activities for children and adults, bars , restaurants . The water was very salty but very clean ,lots of shaded area as it is right next to the mountains. The whole experience was amazing the only regret, not staying there longer We dined at Pumparela Restaurant which had the best beef stake on a heated plate . The staff were very friendly ,the Restaurant was run by an Albanian Family for over 20 years Elona

I made it at last

Brac Two female friends aged 38 from the UK travelling to Croatia for 9 nights. 8.62KN = £1 We flew into Split and got the ferry directly to Brac. The process was very easy, there is a bus outside departures that takes you to the harbour for 33KN (£3 pp). Taxi’s are 300kn – the only advantage would be speed and time if you had a specific ferry to book. We didn’t pre-book any ferries as it was low(er) season. Caterman to Brac took 1 hour (80kn) and we took a taxi to the hotel for 100kn. Hotel Hotel is located at the end of the broadwalk, leading into Bol harbour, with the slope to the beach directly at the entrance to the hotel. I was recommended this hotel ten years ago and it didn’t disappoint when I finally made it here. The rooms were well appointed but simple. We had two single beds, TV and a kettle. Bathroom was clean and nice. Our room had a balcony with a view of the sea. The rooms are located in a village style, at the back of the front of the hotel, so you are uphill. This gives you great views and a good daily workout. Breakfast was great. Eggs served how you like and full buffet cereal, yoghurts, bread/toast and pastries. We would have liked to sit outside more often but the wasps were relentless (this seemed to be a common problem in Croatia) The harbour was a 30mins walk away along the tree lined broadwalk, however you could get a small train or the water taxi for 20kn. Zlat Ratni Beach – All Croatia beaches are made from peebles, you will need beach shoes which are for sale locally at £5 – worthwhile investment. Beautifully clear sea you can get lost in all day long listening to the cool beach bar music in the distance. I often laid on the waters edge, the stones were perfect for this! Beds – chargeable. Ranging from 250kn (two beds and a sun shade) to 140kn (two beds with mini sun shade roof built in) Beach bars and eateries on the beach but all the toilets are at the top of the slope entrance down to the beach. Massage man is very good, I had sciatic pain and the sports massage took it away. Average meal - £20-25 and drinks are similar to London prices £7 for a G&T but they do have Fever Tree and premium spirits. The food has a heavy Italian focus. This time of year was quieter. We just missed the end of the season by one night (14 September) Although I can imagine in high season the amount of people would be suffocating on the small island. Club Ella is within 10-12mins walk from the hotel and Club 585 which in high season attracted Pete Tong as the guest DJ. The feel on the cusp of the season was noticeable both here and in Hvar. Varadero Bar was a good substitute though for al fresco cocktails on the harbour.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION

The location can’t be beat. Hotel is right above the entrance to World famous Zlatni Rat beach (which didn’t disappoint at all). The hotel is also located on the promenade and you can walk along the promenade to Bol Which is about a 15 minute beautiful walk. They have an excellent Breakfast in a very accommodating staff. I definitely would recommend this hotel Some reviews noted that the rooms needed updating but that was not our experience. Our room which was on top hill area furthest from the Promenade (but not far probably 300 meters) were clearly renovated in last 5 years or so Free pickup from ferry in Bol (but not free to from Milna)

Superb views

We visited this restaurant on the way to the rat for a quick lunch. Pizzas are very good and reasonably priced. The view is fantastic overlooking the sea and the rat. Waiters are very polite and do remember you if you go back. I would visit this restaurant again and they do take Visa cards.
