Avoid at all costs

For those people that have rated this hotel as 5 Stars, I would love to see the rooms you stayed in! On arrival we needed to get the maid to come and clean the shower again as there was brown staining all over the tiles, the bathroom fittings were all dull, worn or corroded, the mirror and shelf looked as though it was put in when the hotel was built and has never been replaced. The bedroom is basic, that’s fair enough, a lot of hotels in Pefkos are too, all we were expecting was something that was clean and well presented. It was neither. Air conditioning, as mentioned in other reviews is €10 a day, we had it on all of the first night and the temp was still 28 degrees in the morning, we didn’t bother getting it for any more nights. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in my entire life and would NEVER return. The young English lady, Jasmin, was the only person that I actually saw smile or laugh, she couldn’t have been more helpful, if the other members of staff, and who I believe is the owner, took a leaf out of her book of how to treat people it would be at least a start at turning this horrific hotel into a more pleasant stay, that and actually getting the rooms in need of refurbishment up to a standard that could at least be acceptable as a barest minimum. As for the breakfast, we only ate there the first morning, none of the food was covered, everything sitting in open trays, no fresh fruit juices or fresh fruit to be seen anywhere, every other day we took breakfast at a neighbouring hotel, as we weren’t prepared to take the risk of getting food poisining from the poor food hygiene standards. If you think I am being unreasonable with my review check out the pictures I’ve uploaded with this review and make up your own mind.

Fantastic value for money hotel in great location!

Second year at the Thalia Hotel and its even better this time! Lovely updated rooms with pool/ sea view. Perfect place for a relaxing holiday in a great location close to all bars and restaurants in Pefkos and at a great price - we paid double this for a caravan in the UK! Family run so all the staff are super attentive and always happy to help - the hotel manager Nikos is very passionate about the hotel and makes the accommodation experience even better. Would recommend this hotel to couples or families looking for a restful week or two by the pool within a short walk of everything you need!

Second time staying at the Thalia Hotel

My second time staying at this wonderful family-run hotel with my partner. The first time we stayed it left such a lasting impression on us we just had to come back. The staff have always been nothing but welcoming and helpful towards all of our needs and any requests. The hotel is in an amazing location in the beautiful town of Pefkos, a short walk from the beach and a stroll away from the main strip. The pool is lovely and the best place to relax and unwind, the new updated food menu is brilliant and every lunch we have had here has been great. We will definitely be returning next year.

The most amazing family run hotel!! We loved it so much booked a when we got home

The most fantastic family run Greek hotel who could t do more for you if you tried, we had one of the newly renovated rooms , bed was so comfortable & slept for 2 weeks better than I do at home. Food round the pool bar was so reasonable & so well presented along with each member of staff being so loving towards our family & helpful

Not the best

Hotel very dated .....rooms again dated ..NO mattress cover or pillow case covers . Which I am very surprised at this .... Beds very comfortable...... ..main pool very nice But sunbeds dirty nothing that jet wash couldn't solve ....beds old . We had breakfast.. Once as food warm ...ok very basic but should be hot ate breakfast out every day after that ... Air con there is a charge for this €10 a day .. water was dripping through system on to bedside cabinet one eveing ....thos was dealt with by handy man ASAP Staff only spoke reception staff ..young lady who was lovely and manager who was .polite I do.feel the owner of hotel ( who.i was told lives at hotel ) should be addressing these problems
