Lovely hotel, great location

We have recently returned from a great stay at the Sofia beach hotel. It is in an excellent location, with immediate access to the beach where there are plentiful parasols available at a daily rate- or you can book as we did for the whole of our trip. The pool is a reasonable size and loungers around it are always available so it was very easy to go between pool and beach at will during the day. Our rooms were spacious and clean, as was the rest of the hotel - the staff do a great job and are very warm and helpful. But I do agree with others that the glass partition between the room and the bathroom is a drawback- for us because the light from the bathroom shone into the bedroom which disturbed my partner when I was in the bathroom and he was already trying to sleep! The food was very good and, though not a vast selection, certainly plenty of choice for adults and kids. However it could benefit from being hotter- where the dishes had been out for a while they were often lukewarm. Other hotels with buffets I've stayed at seem to have better heating arrangements! A particular shout out for the woman who runs the restaurant- so sorry I didn't get her name! Breakfast started at 8.00am but we had to leave at 8.15am to catch our flight. She unhesitatingly offered to open the restaurant at 7.30am and to our astonishment the full breakfast selection, including freshly made pancakes, eggs, patisserie etc, was ready for us. In fact this was probably our best breakfast as the food was all hot and fresh! All in all, a great hotel and a lovely holiday in Alcudia. We agreed that we would be very happy to return. Amazing Hotel on the Beachfront of Alcudia

Sofia Alcudia Beach from the moment you book to the moment you leave the service is faultless.Staff were welcoming and helped with any queries you had. The public areas and the rooms were spotless the staff are a credit to the Hotel. There was a young lady at Breakfast and a Chef who went above and beyond their jobs should of got there names as they deserve a special mention to management. There was only 3 things that would of made my personal stay better English Tv I know sad but I like to relax in my room in the evening after dinner, a room nearer the sea again personal choice & the staff did everything they could to get me a sea view room, more salad at breakfast soya yoghurt nuts seeds to go with yoghurt. Overall I had the best stay would highly recommend booking here if you are going to Alcudia & I look forward to returning Jade

Nice staff.

All staff are so nice. Ludmil helped us a lot. Really appreciated! Great location! We had an apartment with good size. My parents had a sea view suite and they loved the view. They can’t walk too much so they spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony. Great holiday for all of us.

Friendly wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend it, I could have stayed longer and I’m a home bird.

Absolutely fantastic holiday. Staff were friendly a special shout out to Viviana in the restaurant. Relaxing ,exceptionally clean . Plenty of room around the pool . All in all delightful. We will return .

Great hotel, location and staff

We have recently returned from a great stay at Sofia. There are many positives but here are just a few: * This has to be one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff work hard to keep it looking great. * The staff are efficient, hardworking and warm. * Location - could not be better! * Food and drink are great. The evening selection is not ridiculously vast like you’d get at some of the bigger hotels but there was always plenty available, it was a great quality and a good range. * Plenty of sunloungers and space. At 10am there were still often 90% of the sunloungers free. Absolutely no early morning towel rushing here! We had a ground floor room which was well appointed and modern but we couldn’t sit with the curtains open in the morning for example as it directly overlooked the restaurant area and the other guests having breakfast. Not a huge problem but we’d have like to have been able to enjoy the nice view more. Yes, the window between the bathroom and bedroom does have an ‘S’ that you can see through as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Not a real problem for us as a family but something to be aware of if you are travelling with a friend. Be aware that there is a €3 per person (over 16 years old) , per night tax added to your bill. I believe this is commonplace and not just for this hotel. Again, not a problem for us but we weren’t aware of this before our final day. All in all, a really great hotel and a lovely holiday in Alcudia. So much so we all agreed we would like to return.
