Todella kylmä lastenallas
Olimme perheen kanssa viikon resortissa puolihoidolla. Henkilökunta on erittäin ystävällinen ja yhden makuuhuoneen huoneisto on erittäin iso. Harmillisesti huoneistossa ei ole keittiötä tai keittokulmausta. Olimme hyoneessa 091. Ainut selkeä miinus on uima-altaiden lämpötila.
Over all a very good hotel rooms spot on don’t listen to people that say it’s dated the bathroom my come across to some as dated but more Spanish style! Duplex suite with golf view was large spacious and clean! And I think the pictures do it justice it looks even cleaner and fresher in in person with a stunning view over las Americas out to sea! Plenty room around the pool and no shortage of sun loungers! Breakfast good with plenty of choice! Best scrambled eggs Iv had in a hotel home or abroad! Full cooked breakfast it was ok but definitely don’t compare to what you would get in the uk! Only had one evening meal at the hotel as was staying bed and breakfast so eat out most nights but the food was very basic at night out on the terrace! Biggest complaint I would have is that you had to pay extra to use the indoor pool or pay for a spa treatment (get 2hrs in the indoor spa and pool with them) as some days mid afternoon I found it to hot to be outside is would’ve been nice to get inside in the pool out the sun for an hour or two! This hotel I would say is suitable for all ages! It is out the way abit which I knew before going but possibly even further out the way than expected 20/25 minute walk down to the sea front but even I being reasonably young and fit wouldn’t tackle the walk back up it’s steeper than expected! I took a pay as you go scooter (loads about just download the app for them) back up most of the time at a cost of a couple euros so no real issue taxi up was around 5 euros! But if you’re looking for a nice clean hotel bed and breakfast that is away from the hustle and bustle and don’t mind using a scooter or taxi to get back to the hotel I would highly recommend! Would I stay again possibly not but more down to the location rather than the hotel it’s self! I’d personally go back to adeje!
Firstly this is a cashless resort. You can order food & drinks, get receipt then pay at reception and take back stamped receipt to receive order. You can use travel money cards. We found if you walk out reception and past security hut, go up hill then turn left and go down dirt track you will find supermarket and bars etc. We were told the bp garage was closest supermarket at reception but it did not have everything we needed. Our room was very dated and looked nothing like the pictures online although it was clean. The self catering facilities are poor. There is daily entertainment, Reuben done various activities by the pool and tried to include everyone. Night time was different singers. I found it odd that they wanted more money for entertainment on a Tues & Fri. So many lovely restaurants nearby. Lots of trips to go on as well. We loved our stay in Tenerife.
Lovely hotel - be mindful of location
I have just returned from Gara Suites with my husband and my two sons (ages 7 and 9). I read lots of reviews before we arrived ranging from excellent to awful so wanted to give an honest review of how we found it. All in all, we found the hotel to be very nice with a few things that could be improved (will detail later). We had a golf view room which had a large double bed in the bedroom and a large pull out sofa in the living room and the most beautiful view over the golf course and the sea. Both beds were extremely comfortable and sheets and pillows were spotlessly clean. The beds only had one pillow on each so I did have to request extras at reception but these were supplied within half an hour which was great. Having the pull out bed in the living room obviously meant we lost our sofa but we werent in the room very much and were happy to chill out on the bed when we were. The TV had lots of radio stations and tv channels (we mainly had on Disney and Paramount). My son worked out how to change the audio settings on the tv back to original audio, so any programmes that were originally in English we could watch in English which was great. When we arrived, we realised our patio door didnt lock. I raised this with reception in the morning and when we retuned shortly after it had been fixed which I was really pleased with! The fridge in the room, as others have pointed out wasnt the best. Again, I rasied this with reception who told me it was more of a mini bar than a fridge so it wasnt that cold. However, for the waters we kept in it it did the job. The bathroom was great size with a bath and a shower (some rooms only have a shower) with lots of hot water and a poweful shower. Towels were spotless and changed everyday. Breakfast in the morning was in the main restaurant and from 7:30 am to 10:30am. There was a huge array of choice from a full english, freshly made to order omlettes, pancakes and chocolate sauce, churros, all meats cheeses, hams and breads, cereals, pastries, donuts, salad, fruits, milkshakes, juices, fresh smoothies.....It was a really great selection and everything was really tasty. We ate breakfast quite late some days and they still kept bringing more food out so there was plenty left even if you arrive late. The hotel has two large pools and one toddler pool. The two pools are no deeper than 1.2m which was great for my boys as they could both stand up (one is a stronger swimmer than the other). There are loads of sunbeds, parasols and little tables (sunbeds are the comfiest ones I have come across). For those with kids, a lovely lady would come around asking if the kids wanted to to do any activities, crafts, archery, mini golf etc which was lovely. There was also a lovely guy who came around telling us about water aerobics, water vollyball etc which he would take. There are two pool bars - one in reception selling drinks and crisps and the main one outside, selling hot food, drinks, ice creams etc. Prices were ok - 2.50 euros for an ice cream, 6ish euros for a tuna toastie and chips. There were other items such as pizza, burgers, hotdogs etc. Now, for the things I would improve. The rooms do not have any kitchen facilities - there are no kettles or cups in the room. You can hire a kettle and 2 cups for around 20 euros I think (refundable). I do think tea and coffee making facilites should be standard in all rooms as I did miss this. There are two small glasses in the bathroom which we used but as there were 4 of us I do think they should of provided more. As for toiletries in the batroom, there was a showergel on the wall and two small soaps. All in all, we found this to be a very lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, lovely food, great activities and helpful staff. There is also no shop on the complex. We wanted to but some infaltables for the boys - these had to be purchased in las americas and brought back. I did read that the hotel opposite (Green Garden) had a supermarket (5 min walk) but unfortantely this is being refurbished at the moment so was closed). For us, the location is the only reason that we would not return. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute drive from Las Americas. As we were bed and breakfast only we ate out at restaurants every night and this meant taxis there and back (apparently it is a 30 min walk and with 2 children and the hot temperature this wasnt an option for us). The taxis were around 8-9 euros a time so for us, the cost of taxis there and back every night was a lot and an added expense. But if you are looking for an all inclusive holiday and dont intend to leave the hotel much, this is a beautiful hotel. We did a few trips that I would recommend: Monkey Park - around 10mins in a taxi Aqualand - around 10mins in a taxi ( the boys did the doplhin experience which was magical) Restaurants I would recommed: Savage Fiore Biancco Pizzeria Trattoria (best lasagne ever)
Was ok …wouldn’t come back
Duplex suite with Golf Course View Good - hotel complex is beautiful, very big and clean , location is ok, turn left at front gate, take the shortcut and pretty much central - 1km Apartments are very big, very airy. Upstairs sun terrace. Nice views. Bar staff are good fun Pool entertainment each day - music Maids are very friendly and polite. Spa is excellent - staff are very friendly. €25 taxi from the Airport, Free Wi-Fi Taxi rank at hotel Beautiful views Nice golf course. Air con is decent Bad - upon arrival reception seemed annoyed because I was asked to sign something in Spanish re my passport and i asked what it said. This was a bad first impression for me. - I don’t speak Spanish. Arrived late, nothing nearby - £26.73 for a beer, coke and 2 cheese and ham toasties with fries at the poolside bar! - possibly charged twice but too late to rectify it once I noticed. Gym is basic / equipment dated or broken Hotel totally cashless. No mini bar Fridge doesn’t work very well - not cold No outside tables or chairs. Tried to use laundrette- was closed. Toiletries were two small soaps. Cleaning is mostly beds made and change of towels. Tables and surfaces were dirty when we arrived. No kitchen area/ utensils/ glasses/ cups. No local supermarket nearby - nearest is 1km away. No drying rack for clothes No option available for late check out - flight was 9pm Limited English tv channels, BBC news and MTV - the rest didn’t work. Check prices if paying for room separate. Booking.com sold the same room for €569 the day before we went. We paid €692.
