Perheille sopiva

Hotelli on bungalow tyylinen ja se on meren rannalla, vaikkakin vain osa asunnoista avautuu merelle. Monia altaita, mutta vain yksi ravintola. Ruoka on buffet tyylistä ja ok laatuista, mutta ei mitään erityisen makunystyröitä hemmottelevaa. Ravintola on äänekäs ja terassin avaaminen kokonaisuudessaan aamiaista varten tuntuu olevan liian kova työ. Aamiainen on todella hyvää. Päivitimme juoniori sviittiin, jossa on poreamme terassilla. Huone on todella tilava, hyvin kalustettu, sekä sängyt ovat parhaita, joissa olemme rantakohteessa nukkuneet. Kukaan ei kysynyt meiltä mitä pidimme lomastamme, ei edes check-outin yhteydessä. Emme saaneet edes kiitosta tai hyvästejä. Kaikenkaikkiaan hotelli on toimiva, muttemme aio palata.

Lovely stay

Just back from a wonderful week away. We have been to Caleta de Fust 6 times before and love the place. My wife calls it 'one of my happy places'. We have always stayed next door at the Barcelo Mar (as is now) the last time being the year before Covid. We wanted a quieter place and like adult only now. Not that we don't like kids, but frankly the endless racket is tiring after a while and hence looked at this place. We had walked past many times (before covid and before it was owned by the Barcelo group who seem to own the whole bay now (not sure that is a great thing for choice and there is a palpably less busy feel around). So to the hotel. Not full. Not sure how may of the bungalows were occupied but I would say no more than half, so yes, if full, would be a bit busier and the pool area a bit more crowded. That said, there are lots of sunbed and no problem at all getting them. I suspect if full and everyone wanted to say at the hotel every day it might be a tad tight, but as the reception say on arrival, we could go to any of the other hotels and camp out there with no problem (the key cards work all over). Food wise, by far the best is breakfast. Just lovely. I pretty much had the same daily as it was so good: some poached eggs with some of the tomatoes in herbs, salmon and caviar followed by coffee, pastries, fruit and honeycomb. If was fantastic. Evening meal wise a bit mixed. There was plenty to choose from but a bit samey really. We do eat out, this trip just once, but we don't get hung up about All Inc or HB and then paying elsewhere. We went Half Board as we don't really need lunch after a big breakfast, don't drink a lot (especially during the day), so the relative cost difference just makes no sense. You have to go some to be better off AI I think really ! There are plenty of bars and cafe's about and we liked an afternoon stroll, a beer or coffee and snack at one of then every day. Even totalling up everything we spent (including the lovely steak night out, it was less than half what the AI difference would have been - as I said, you have to go some really). The staff were fantastic, cheerful, always on hand if you needed something and seamlessly in the background. Some lady brought chocolates every night round which was lovely and on the last night we came back to find some chocs on the bed and the bed laid out for us, slippers and all. Very nice touch. Mixed guest bag. Lots of Brits and Germans with some French, Spanish and Dutch. All very friendly and was just nice chatting with different people every day Bungalow is fine, nice little semi-shaded patio to sit after a shower with a G&T, fridge and free safe. Lounge area and bedroom with a massive bed and lots of hanging space. There is AC in each room than can be turned on independently, on a quiet mode and with a timer if you need it. There is wifi across the Barcelo hotels and it is free. There seems no limit and I was able to download a couple of programmes without issue. Not a hotel issue, they provide the carrier free - but I always use a VPN - open hotel wifi should always be treated as insecure and a risk without encrypted VPN use. The number of people doing online banking over open networks ! We are now just not booking anywhere else for a week or more stay in Caleta - just lovely and exactly what we needed.

Good but not as good as previous

We love Barcelo. The room was outstanding with a great sea view but low occupancy for May seemed to affect the overall staffing levels. Though breakfast at El Ancla was good enough, dinners there were way below what we've come to expect from the Barcelo chain.

good money value

Good hotel, close to airport ( approx 15 Km) with excellent service and nice rooms Location is very well and personel is friendly and help full. Pool is very nice and all services are there. See you next month!

Luxury at its best

I enjoyed my stay there so much. the room was very spacious and comfortable. the pool was warm and no smell of chlorine which was great. I will definitely be staying there again. food was excellent. Thank you to all the staff
